  1. Seriously though what is a "gay"channel these days ? Im sorry but I think a network that runs marathons of Golden Girls is just as gay as a network that specializes in shows about gay people. Everyone knows what the target audience is for shows such as Golden Girls
  2. Santa Clara Stampede is what I had heard as well however I don't know if that is the best name given that any and all measures will probably be taken to keep it as quiet as possible, that could have also just have been a project name though
  3. I know a few were curious if Cyclone would retain it's original colors and if this picture is any indication of things to come it is starting to look like the mighty Cyclone is going to gradually turn brown like the roller coaster in Puyallup has over the years
  4. Does anyone have any video of that evil looking Togo spinning death machine?
  5. Amen. Just wondering, is there a reason why corkscrews in general are (usually) the most jerky elements in a coaster? Would assume because corkscrews involve much more lateral force than most inversions do . . . that being said I prefer the B&M sneak roll in the corkscrews and am sad to see it getting tamer as the years go by
  6. It is a newer B&M though while I think this one definitely has out themed Montu I have a feeling it wont pack quite the same punch that Montu does, I will be very interested to hear the reviews and would love to hear one from someone that has been on both
  7. However Boardwalkish could also be some kind of thematic element or they could just be referring to the fact that it will be named along the lines of many of the other rides as something to do with the sea
  8. Yes the city made it absolute hell to build Double Shot it was originally planned to be much taller and even with the current shorter tower it was still a huge issue
  9. I would think if they are going to go for a spinner which the rumors right now all point to it will be the Maurer Söhne Xtended SC 2000 model of course they could pull an El Loco out of their hats and pleasantly surprise us all. . . I do honestly think they already have a replacement in the works however I can't imagine they would go a full season with one less coaster, removing Hurricane in Sept. gives them plenty of time to have a new coaster up and running in time for the 2013 season
  10. I would love to see that as well but sadly those old monster mice seem to be a dying breed in the states especially, if it does get saved it will most likely end up in a third world country where there is no OSHA
  11. I feel the same way however at least it is still running, only being open a few times a year is way better than being closed
  12. The really cool thing is that as this all goes down they are also doing the same to the original Prior and Church trains that run on it and will be keeping them not replacing them
  13. I was up in Washington on a trip and stopped by The Puyallup Fairgrounds to check out the progress being made on the elusive Coaster Thrill Ride as it is gradually being rebuilt from the ground up in phases so that it can run for the two yearly fairs
  14. Don't let the Hurricane discourage you, I have been on a few of other versions of it and they were all so much better than Hurricane, the one that was in Seattle was awesome
  15. And it is the LA times once again the same people who leaked out the 2012 Six Flags new ride lineup slightly early
  16. ^ yes the last row on Giant Dipper gradually gets more wild as the day progresses and by closing it can get insane
  17. I know it's wishfull thinking but are Intamin P&P's quiet
  18. Wait what about Eurostar I believe that is a Giovanola
  19. I would really like to see Colossus simply returned to the layout it had in its opening year it doesn't need to get the RMC treatment to be an amazing ride it just needs to be returned to its original glory
  20. I believe it was second to last and before that I believe it always had ranked in last place
  21. I gotta admit, when I first saw this photo, it looked like the park suffered from flood damages recently. Well, there's is demolished wood sitting on the S:UF site, so maybe the Zonga station was demolished? Also, why is the concrete slab flooded when it is a few feet above the ground? Unless the concrete slab was also demolished. Also, Pandemonium's enterance may be used for S:UF. The concrete slab isn't level I'm not quite sure why other than it was poured wrong but it flooded like this right after it was poured while they were building Zonga
  22. yes I agree Thank you - the world needs more people that think like you do
  23. My favorite building is the Fox Theater in San Francisco sadly I never got to see in person as it was torn down before I was born
