  1. Why didn't you just use the Flying Dutchman track style. It may not look the part but at least you get the right type of ride.
  2. ^ Maybe the speed isn't fast enough (it only works if the forces are above 1g throughout the loop). Try and increase it a bit.
  3. Have you got all the track in the loop white and the correct speed settings?
  4. I'm guessing no-ones interested which is fair enough. Would anyone partake in this if I altered the contest into a Track Tennis game instead? What is Track Tennis?
  5. ^ Lol, are you planning revenge or something.
  6. Did you use elementary for the loop, because usually you have to send it through the AHG to get the banking right. Also, awesome job on the car texture.
  7. ^ I heard over at Coastercrazy that they were swiching domains of something like that. I'm not sure on details, but I have heard that the site isn't closed for good, its just temporary.
  8. Awesome photo's, defiantly looks like a 'Top ten' ride to me. Too bad a lot of us won't be able to ride it any time soon (at least China is getting some rides worth making a trip for).
  9. Could you send me both of the files (before and after) so I can have a proper look at them? (Just send them via PM)
  10. I'm not really sure what's wrong but try and increase the input speed a bit and bring the output speed a little closer to the input one and see if it works then.
  11. ^ What speed do you have the AHG at?
  12. So, is anyone interested? Any more queries?
  13. ^^ Oops, forgot to mention that. No changes can be made to the terrain. ^ No, the supports cannot pass the line.
  14. Awesome trip report. I love quirky little parks like these.
  15. ^ Try and put up a picture (before heartlining), I need better visualisation to help you solve the problem.
  16. What's TUT (I'm not good with abbreviations).
  17. Deep in the the country of Washahakalugi, my fellow colleagues have sought to build a ride so good, they will never bare an empty wallet of cash again. That is why I have turned to you to design a woodie that not only breaks a few records here and there, but also offers a kick-a$$ ride worth travelling halfway across the world to ride. So without further ado, here are the guidelines. *Rules* -Your ride must be a woodie (any type is fine). -You track must break any one of the following records: Height: 218ft (measured from the water level) Length: 7359 ft Speed: 78 mph You only need to break one record to qualify but if you break more than one, bonus points will be given. -Lateral G's must remain below 1.8g -Vertical G's must not exeed +4g or -1.8g -The ride must stay left of the blue line and the station must be situated in the pink area. Also, the ride must not exeed the height of 240ft (I have placed the template at this height for reference. -No changes can be made to the terrain. *How I will mark it* I will judge the rides myself, here's how I will mark them. -Adrenaline will be marked out of 10 -Track work will be marked out of 10 -Any custom supports (or support clean ups) will be marked out of 3. -Originality will be marked out of 5 -We want a good looking ride, so I will mark its appearance out of 3. -Additions such as 3ds will be marked out of 3 as a bonus. The highest score will win the contest, simple as. I will release a summary of every ride so you know how you compared and such. You have till the end of the month to complete your ride, extensions may be given if necessary. Other than that, enjoy! ---- If you have any problems or queries, just ask. I'll answer as soon as I can. LAKE TEMPLATE.nltrack
  18. ^ That site he linked to is usually very reliable and is used by hundreds of NL users. I think your being a bit harsh on him here. I've been following it over at CS and I think it looks very good. Your previous ride have been of a very high quality and I'm sure this will be too.
  19. Best: Grand National (love those little airtime hills). Worst: The Ultimate (just meanders towards the station).
  20. NL doesn't like vertical sections, that's why its best to avoid having any vertices at a 90 degree angle. Also, the top of the lift looks badly shaped. Try and get a circular 3d to get the shape right. It helps a tonne when trying to do something like you are now.
  21. It's just you. Thanks for all the comments.
  22. Pretty good effort. *What I liked* -Very nice pacing throughout. -Very good, logical layout with a nice selection of elements. *Advice on what you can do to improve* -Some of those elements were far too tight in size, meaning the cars often lifted off the track or went through each other. Next time, try and test for any of these 'hits' to see if the element is realistic or not. -Try and work out some of those pumps. Its often helpful to use a circular object when making helix's to help reduce pumps and keep a constant radius. For other elements, I tend to look at real life examples and base the shaping after them. Usually it helps a tonne when your smoothing your ride out. -When building rides, try and cover the whole track in a tunnel to test for any intrusions and act upon it. It makes the ride much more realistic and it stops the riders arriving back at the station with their heads intact. -If a ride seems to be running out of steam, try and finish it as quick as possible. While yours isn't a bad example, it still started to get a little slow towards the end. Again, great effort on your behalf. I feel we may be getting a few good quality rides from you in the future.
