  1. Rainbow Magicland in 13 days.
  2. some more pics which didn't fit into previous post. I love theme parks in the dark Night ERT on Bizarro And to end some water challenge pics. Oh yeah, did i mention there was beer ? Thanks for reading.
  3. The most intense day of the trip. We had morning and evening ERT, ERT at the waterpark, Q-bots, walk backs, hot weather, beer and more beer. Pre-park work out SFNE Starting with ERT on Bizarro Train load of TPR members Another train load. I'll post all pics of this burst. The parked would be packed, really packed that day. But look at the station during ERT on Batman Almost halfway Waterpark ERT Great water ride And the other ride we had ERT on. Never rode one of these It was awesome. Look how high we go It was so great to have the waterpark for ourselves. Later on in this tr you will see how packed the waterpark was when I went back in the afternoon. After the refreshing water park, It was time to ride coasters again. Again I couldn't resist to take a picture of this. Maybe I should do a poll again SLC Batman. Q&A during lunch TPR game It had also something to do with Piers oh yeah, there was free beer Right after the beer lunch, we rode the nearby kiddie credit. Hans was still holding his beer when he had to board. But hold on, there is more ..... I bring you now the awesomeness of Hans !! I only discovered this while I was watching the pics back at home. So it's a kiddie ride. Most of the riders are adults with kids. More kids/parents and more and more And look ! There's Hans Hans apparently still not realizing he's on a roller coaster. oooooohhhhh, a drop !!!!!! And more Ooooooooohhhhhhhhh I think at this very point Hans only was aware he was on a coaster Moving on. Wood. It reminded me of another park for some reason. This ride was quite weird; Partly new track and smooth, partly old track and rough. The new track was smooth but quite weird too. But I liked it. This was really fun. It was spinning but not too much. Just the way I like it. No Fun - the Stooges SLC .... same song I went back to the watermark for some more pictures. I liked it more when we had ERT over there More Batman Walk back time Walking back was Bizarre In fact it was a Catwoman walk back But we could also take pictures of this ride Waar zijn die handjes ????? It's definitely in my top 10, but not on the 1st spot. She's lucky she was wearing the bleu thing under the white shirt Seven Flags There once was a belgian TPR member wondering whether our camera was traveling alone and since then i included pictures of myself in every report. Hi Beeja !!!! After the walk back we rerode some more coasters. Although the parked was sooooo packed, which stressed me out a little bit, still our day at SFNE was one of my favorite days. After all perks we already had, we were all a bit tired and relaxed during dinner. And we had some beers .... what did you think ?
  4. Next was another lovely place : Lake Compounce Same as in Holiday World, there is free Pepsi soda for everyone at the park. There is a lot to do. Not the best woodie I know Kiddie coaster Boomerang Great theming Awesome wood in the woods Darkride I love these things Let's do it. I wasn't a big fan of the laterals but the rest of BD is just insane After 2 years, I almost didn't recognize Josh. There is so much to do at LC. There's even a waterpark Lovely people mover Too bad this was closed. I heard it was because of the hunting season. You might get wet No comment The dark ride was awesome LC is beautiful in the dark We were allowed to ride the kiddie credit without kids just before park closing And then it was time for BD ERT
  5. Next park : Quassy I had no idea what to expect of this park Except the fact we had ERT on Wooden Warrior The park welcomed us with open arms These things produce awesome POV Wooden Warrior is such a great little coaster It was probably the most awesome surprise of the whole trip If it's your birthday, this is the place to be There was another credit to be conquered Only the very brave put their arms up Quassy is really a lovely small park Dave/Dave We were all celebrating our birthday that day Roxy Other TPR members getting their credit The boat tour was so great True story Captain Jack (or similar) Special Wednesday Yes, we are all special Is that Europe I see ? Quassy from a distance Some more Wooden Warrior pics Hans & Chris managed to disconnect the rest of the train and were only using the front car of the train. True story RCT pinball Loved the old arcade games Preparing for a photo shoot Young and old like Wooden Warrior Well .... maybe not everybody
  6. My memory isn't too bad after all, I didn't have to check the guidebook to find out where we went next : Coney Island Elissa was very excited for the visit to Coney Island There cannot be enough pictures of NYC from a distance McDonald Express. I really want to know what the express means. An employee make you swallow a big mac in 1 second ? I don't know but I really would like to know. Didn't understand this slang word, but I looked it up. And yes, with a 12 hours delays I had to laugh. Not on back row, not on back row, not on back row .... I had to keep that in my mind. I'm going to put the same sign in front of my house We were early, so enough time for me to have a walk in the ocean. And take some pictures of the park(s) from the shore. The ferris wheel colors seem to be in 3D Back to the park. These food/drink stands are so lovely. As said, this is the way I take group pictures Cyclone time. More pics later on in this tr Kung Fu Neil There were a lot of credits to get Wonderwheel. I rode the one at DCA 2 years ago. That one is better. This one is more special. Werner & me It's rather difficult to take acceptable pics from the Wonderwheel because the thing keeps on swinging. Wow .... Fata Morgana !!! Maybe I really should get my 3D glasses for this The Tickler Looka left Freak show on your right Chill I really love these shops Bumper cars I know I wouldn't hire this dj for my party Oh, is this really the place where this hotdog eating contest is being held ? Seems like that. Nathan's Barf sandwich Lunch on a garbage can 2460 cal, I'm still in shock. That's what you need in about 30 hours time !!!!! Mr Tickler again Volare ... ho ho, Cantare, ho ho ho ho. Nel blu dipinto di blu Felice di stare lassu Written by Domenico Modugno This was a great surprise There was a fotoshoot going on Here the promised Cyclone pics The seem to enjoy the back row I felt lonely for some reason I don't have much comments today Meeting up with Roxy again was so nice. Thanks for reading.
  7. First day of the TPR NE trip. KD & BGE were amazing, but I was even much more excited for the NE trip. We still had a long drive ahead from Williamsburg to Newark. On a stopover I discovered a new favorite drink Passing by DC. Clique .... that's close enough. Don't know what it is but it looked funky. I have been talking to the moon a lot recently. We slept over at West Deptford again. After a smooth drive to Newark, drinking something to get awake a bit more (I think we had been to the local liquor store the night before didn't we Hans ?) we arrived well in time at the EWR hotel where we would meet up with the other participants And BAM, the trip started. We all got married at Bowcraft. I don't remember to whom I got married. Well, if that's important .... This is how I take group photo's. Yay, first unofficial official pre-pre add on day to the official NE trip credit. Officially it is a credit. Unofficially it is too. Funky train It was a very nice ride. I expected it worse. Random flatride Love this wheelie kiddieride next credit whiiiiiiiii And moving on to an afternoon in NYC Hooray for tunnels Hooray for traffic jams in tunnels. Everybody was really excited. Well just before and after taking this picture that is. True story. WTH is that ???? The TPR bus has landed. There was an interesting story about these things, but don't remember exactly what the story was. The fast and the furious The mix of Central Park and the skyscrapers is simply amazing. So beautiful ..... Hi there Ok, back to reality. We're here on a damn rollercoastertrip !!!! So let's ride the central park coaster. Loads of track Hooray !!!! Martin Belgian food. I was not hungry Yay ! Skyscrapers !!!!! 24/7 Apple store. Let's do it !!! Oh wait, why are we queueing into the store ? OMFG !! How can people actually find and buy something anthill ? I prefer to buy my Apple stuff in the shop near my work where I'm sometime all alone in the shop. I left the shop immediately And went to join the rest of the TPR gang in this store Toystores in NYC are huge ! He called me precious or something. True story The love of my life I like those miniature things. Wanted to buy some for my kids but all the stuff was really, and I mean really expensive. Wanted to see the muppet hype everybody was talking about. I grew up with the muppets, but never been a huge fan. Still, creating your own muppet when you're a fan must be awesome. If they would have had a Joey Ramone muppet, I would have bought one I'm on holiday, no work for me. I became hungry after watching everybody working on their muppet, so Subway time 59th street. I was explained how to find your way in the NYC blocks several times, but I still didn't understand. I must admit, I really hate big cities, so that's probably why. My main goal that afternoon was staying close to Elissa so that I didn't get lost. I managed to do that (unlike Hans at a certain moment ) and I must admit, I really liked the NYC vibe. Walking around in my home city (Antwerp) during lunch at work, really made me wanting to be in NYC again. Let's do it ! TPR subway take over. Did we all fit into one train ? AWESOME QUESTION ! I think we did. Meet Scott, our pizza tour guide. Okay, here's a really true story : I didn't really prepare for the trip. I even didn't read the guidebook. I didn't know the names of all parks we were going to visit, barely knew which coasters we were going to ride, but I knew we were going to eat pizza that evening. I didn't know that there would be a tour and when the obsessed pizza man started to talk, at first I was thinking he was a stand-up comedian. But Scott was bloody serious about his pizza stuff. I had no idea there was so much to be told about pizza's. He even knew that the most famous pizza restaurant here in belgium in Domino. But from his reaction I could make up that this is a chain of restaurants, known worldwide, so nothing special obviously. But I'm certainly going to try it out one of these days. On the pizza tour we first went to Lombardi's, if I remember well the oldest pizza restaurant in the USA. I liked the pizza at Lombardi's We even got a kitchen tour over there My kitchen looks different Scott was nice enough to show us hell. And someone's wet dream .... Second pizza place. Arturo's Also great pizza Some in between shots 3rd place Sorry, didn't really like that pizza There was something but don't know what it was .... Back outside. Thanks for reading. Next update will be .... let me check my guidebook.
  8. Thanks for all comments. I suddenly remembered the name of the food we ate for lunch : pretzeldog
  9. ^I have no idea at all. Think you better ask that question in the official BGE thread.
  10. Thanks everybody. It's a bank holiday out here, so I have time for the next update : Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Crowds were rather light so we decided not to purchase their front of line pass. I liked the colored glitter things For the first time, I didn't suffer from the usual jet lag. Not sure about Hans The flight simulator. Not sure whether it was already there in 2008. We didn't ride it then in any case. This was one of the worst simulators I have ever been on. Total waste of time. I recovered from the simulator while watching some birdies. Aaaaahhhhh, that looks MUCH better I love this ride. Especially on the back row The water part is so beautiful to watch BBQ I love the long first drop on this ride I had to look twice at this pic to figure our what exactly goes on. Yay, Pepsi So there is Mountain Dew. More Alpengeist Yeah, ..... couldn't resist Noted Gotta love this Darkastle time Festhaus It was still early Not open yet unfortunately The landscaping is really beautiful The only Arrow I like Remainders of BBW One of the best B&M hypers Not sure what the guy in the middle was thinking about ... Rapids Most rapids in the USA get you rather wet .... see ? But they survived Love their expression This doesn't get you really wet though Almost there and splash Different angle Sesame street There are some great kiddie rides. And even a new credit Hey there ! We did a second lap of the park to reride the coasters I simply love the interlocking loops In a bar with this name out here, there WILL be hookers. So I have an idea where the Busch people got their inspiration. Oh yeah, this ride is called Griffon in case you didn't know I had to take a picture of this because the water is so clear. You will not find this in Western Europe. In a weird way, the Festhaus kept on attracting us. Let's eat Don't remember the name, but remember it was nice Et voila ! This concludes our own pre add on days to the TPR NE trip. Let's head back north for the TPR NE trip. Wish we drove this car
  11. ^^Wow, you certainly know your hotels !!!!! I had to look it up, but that is exactly the hotel we stayed at Steve, that's right, it was just before the NE trip. And I agree, that KD is not the park to visit during a heat wave. There is almost no shade at the park. But despite the heat, we had a great day at KD EB, Robin, thanks for the compliments.
  12. My bad, I understood you were talking about their express pass system.
  13. A few weeks ago, it was time for another holiday in the Usa. I signed up for the TPR NE trip, but we arrived a few days early so we decided to rent a car and drive South to revisit KD and BGE. In fact the main reason for us doing so was I-305, which wasn't there yet during our last visit in 2008. I really hate the intercontinental flights. To comfort myself a bit, I bought a Gordon Ramsey lunch at Heathrow, where I would meet up with Hans for our flight to Newark. The food was very good, but after finishing this, the flight lunch was served and it all was a bit too much After a long travel day, the next morning at 6 am we were ready for the drive to KD. Our rental car reminded me of Pulp Fiction for some reason. Lots of space. The handling of the car after every slightest road bump was very special though. The car seemed like jumping after every bump and we had to correct the wheels after every jump. Well, we got used to it quite fast so no problem. I love to be in the USA for all the soft drinks we can't get out here. Pulp Fiction car requires a Pulp Fiction t-shirt. It was 6 am and I was already sweating. I only got used to the heat after 2 days. On the road to KD We arrived at KD shortly after opening We were going to meet up with Dennis & Werner at KD. After some texting, we found out they were already riding I-305 which came in extremely convenient because that was exactly what we also wanted to do. Passing by Volcano Looking sweet I really enjoyed riding I-305. It is sooooo fast. Even the 'grey out' over there was, euh ..., how shall I call it, well it was an experience. It is by far the most intense coaster experience I have ever had. I think the expression of the lady on front row perfectly explains what most of the gp thinks about I-305 Quick ride on FoF Since I had all other credits, I didn't re-ride this Arrow goodness Although I admit the settings are beautiful R&E wouldn't be very happy if I brought one of these on the bus I assume. Volcano was running with one train only. Although crowds were fairly light during our visit, of course there was a considerable row for Volcano because of that. Hans, Dennis & Werner It's not a good coaster, but I like it. No Togo torture for me it's a pitty the cars don't have the doors any longer It's like being in Paris. Now this is a good ride ! I didn't remember exactly which woodie at KD is the worst. I still don't remember because I didn't feel like remembering and re-riding all the wood they have. Hans, Dennis & Werner did ride and got some blue souvenirs. Sitting in the shadow, and I started to sweat even more. It must have been more than 200° that day. Some pics taken in Paris It is not only an amazing ride, it also looks so amazing. I love the fact that the top doesn't have any supports The sudden turns are so smooth True The sky wasn't looking too good, so we quickly rerode I-305 a few more times. And took some last pics of it While Dennis and Werner were going to stay till closing time, we left the park at about 6 pm and headed for Williamsburg. Just after Richmond, we ended up in a giant a$$ thunderstorm, one we've never experienced before out here. The only thing we could do on the highway, was staying close and follow the rear lights of the car in front of us. As we also didn't have too much fuel anymore, we decided to play safe and get of the highway and park somewhere and wait for hell to end, which soon happened and we enjoyed a nice evening in Williamsburg. TR of BGE coming soon. Thanks for reading.
  14. I really enjoyed the reports and wish I could have joined. Love the non-factual facts about Liège/Luik/Luttich
  15. 2 days at SFGAdv is enough if the park isn't too busy or if you purchase a flash pass/q-bot. I think Hershey Park let's you in for free if you arrive after 4 pm or something the day before your visit. I wouldn't foresee 2 full days at Hershey. During the day you can than visit Knoebels or Dorney. Dorney has some nice coasters but it isn't a full day park. Knoebels is a park you really have to experience. Gps will of course guide you on highways too. I'll look up the hotels we stayed in and let you know.
  16. Hi, it's easy to drive on the highways. Don't know how it is in Brasil, but compared to traffic in Europe, driving in the Usa is relaxing. Manual transmission is hard to find I'm afraid. But just put your left leg 'away' and you will love the automatic transmission. It really doesn't take long before you're used to that. I recommend to rent a GPS with the car. It will not cost that much more, but you really don't want to rely on google map print outs. 1 day at Hershey and 2 days (max 3 days) at CP should do. In stead you could for example plan a day at Knoebels, Kings Island, or even half a days at Kennywood and/or Dorney Park.
  17. Great TR's Caesar. Your comments make me laugh
  18. Here some more groundwork pics taken yesterday ^^ I love Intamin coasters but not Baco. It used to be decent in the first year, when it was running that is, but rerode it again multiple times the last few days and it really has become rougher than ever. It's really barely enjoyable now. ^ PA's e-ticket system wasn't really working too well during our visit. They sell way too many express passes so that the express lines to most rides are starting outside of the express waiting area. Also, they do an excellent job to build up the normal lines very quickly by running only 1 train till the normal line is over 1 hour or more. Anyway, a B&M hyper will be something that gets the GP very excited in my opinion.
  19. Millennium Force
  20. I'm so glad I know you Great job EB !!!!!!
