Our airport is the best. I always fly out of FLL because Miami is WAY TOO SLOW! Not to mention, all the good discount carriers are here.

Local10 report of the WACKO that owns the Swap Shop in Forty Lauderdale. Here's the story in a nutshell... Swap Shop owner (who is in his 70's) is tasered by sheriff's deputies during a dispute after a man in his 40s (a shop owner) claimed he was thrown to the ground by the owner. Swap shop owner evicts Sheriff's wife and her business from the swap shop. Swap shop owner is arrested for numerous charges, the goes on local TV station and challenges the sheriff to a fist fight. LOL Hmmm, wonder if the swap shop could be shut down if this escalates. -
That's until the end up on Extreme Makeover, then they become cheatin' good-for-nothin' liars. LOL

Glad you're recooperating nicely! My mom had it done, and she's amazed at the results. All she talks about is how well she sees, after having bad vision for 10+ years. (She had the surgery last year.) She even went out to buy a new TV, bacuase she didn't realize how messed up her old TV was. LOL Oh, and I saw Big Thunder on TV today, where is Rapids??? Heck, I've been down here over 3 years, and still haven't riden the Hurricane!

Do you think there wil be another Star Wars?
DenDen replied to coasterdude5's topic in Random, Random, Random
There's already talk of 7, 8, and 9. When George needs money to expand his Country, oh, I mean skywalker ranch, or he gets bored, it will happen. Heck, we got 1, 2, and 3 after he said 4, 5, and 6 were the end of it. Never believe celebs. LOL -
They have a lot of nerve calling it "Pride of America" when they aren't even registered in this country to avoid taxation, employment, and other laws! Not to mention, if you're ever assulted on a cruise ship, you will never get justice. (A growing problem.) Guess that's why I don't go on cruises.

In the likelyhood of offending possible readers of this message board, I will not critique the wackos on the train! Well, except for the only one that wasn't screaming and dancing, whom looked like she put her dentures in her pocket before launch. (Hint: Fixodent works great for coaster riding!) Great videos! -
actually, the official website is http://www.gayday.com/default.asp "gaydayS" is a spin-off organization trying to capitalize on the event. You'd think, after 15 years of doing this, people would be over this by now.

Photo Update - Dorney Park 6/5/05

Kennywood has one too. -
Though Jacko is a wacko, I think this case is a extortion attempt. The accuser and his mother are both just as idiotic as he is, and the prosecuter has a personal vendetta against him. If he were guilty, there would be TONS more victims out there, with all the access to children that he has had, and all the opportunities. (Child molesters NEVER pass an opportunity.)

THIS is the vomit machine of the century. I rode Cobra in Washington County, PA, and it went forward, and backward. The closest i ever came to vomiting on a ride of any kind. -
Bad news for summer trips to Florida
DenDen replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've been in Fort Lauderdale since 2001, and they say it's going to be a bad season every year! Last year was bad for Palm Beach and northward, but barely a scratch here in south Florida. -
FireWire (or IEEE-1394) is a similar to USB, but is a bazzilion times faster. Digital video cams have a firewire plug on them to hook up to your computer, and analogs do not for the most part. It allows you to control your camera via the computer, and thransfer video data back and forth.
-
Needs a firewire, which your analog camera may not have. For my Hi-8, I use an ATI All-in-wonder and pinacle studio. (Used to use Ulead Studio, but i just obtained Pinacle last week, what a blast to use, i may fork out the money for the latest version.)

Hey, Martha Stewart got 6 months + house arrest for fibbing to authorities, why doesn't this bee-otch? Dennis "thinks it's a good thing".

non-racing/dueling, racing/dueling coasters
DenDen replied to jarmor's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Kennywood Racer always races, it has to, since it's a single long loop for both sides. -
Waste of time. All you need to protect yourself is... -Firewall (preferable hardware) -Spyware protection -Virus protection -Common sense << Clearing your track every time deletes your web site passwords, cache images, and just makes your browsing experience slower. Use FireFox if you're worried about security. As for AOL, you're screenname/email address is your identity, which is AOL's BIGGEST flaw. Getting your password is easy, and can be done in any chat room or instant message. Just remember, NOBODY of official stature will ask you for any personally identifying information, EVER!

Isn't that called Dr. Pepper? All of these flavored colas don't have any cola-flavor at all. It's like they made sprite, and added brown food coloring. There ya have it, Lime-coke. (Do a blind taste test, you'll see!) And pepsi is guilty too, Pepsi-twist is nothing but lemon-lime Slice with brown food coloring. Nothing new, but people are dumb... DenDen "likes his cola straigh-up, any brand, and lots of sugar, the way it was meant to be".

I watched a little E3 today, they noted that it was NOT actual game play, but a demo running on a PC. And of course, Micro$oft touted the fact that sony's demo wasn't reality yet. I'm not much of a gamer, but I want a Nintendog!

How do you have fun/play with guest
DenDen replied to calcajun's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Back in the day as parking staff, we used to get a lot of bigoted questions from guests, like "Are there a lot of black/jew/dego/polock/biblebeater/(insert your own insult here) people in the park today?" (I know, it's outrageous, but that's Pittsburgh for ya!) We would come up with the wildest answers to see if they believed us, and if they would turn around and leave, or just call us "smart arses". We actually made a game of it, and would bet money. Though not the best, I was pretty good at it... "Actually, today is Zulu Day. Animal sacrifices are in pavilion #2, shrunken heads over by the log jammer, and they're serving catapillar delicacies behind the jack rabbit. I hear they're also having a manure brick-laying relays as well. It's really stinky back there." A few punk teens actually bought this story, and left. (DARN TYPOS!) -
The Worlds Gayest Theme Parks
DenDen replied to Sir Clinksalot's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
LMAO! That's just sick! But in all seriousness, many of these parks DO take official participation of these events, though for the most part, in subtle ways. Disney does mandate the event, ie. they took a stance on the issue against the christian coalition and won, and do offer benefits to same-sex partners. (Not to mention, airing the 1st gay sitcom ever!) Universal is quite smart in trying to get on the bandwagon. If it's one thing we "queers" like to do, it's shopping! I'm guessing that the retail part of theme parks skyrockets during gay days. (Not to mention, the surrounding local economy.) Actually, Kennywood does this! African-American day, Italian day, Christian day, etc... are all posted on signs, and on their web site, and yet, they won't allow any signs, banners, etc on Gay days. How hyprocritical. (At least this was back in the early 90's, I don't know if this policy still stands...) And we rainbow-waivers are so weak, Dr. Laura is the #1 show.
