I confess, I don't think I've ever ridden a Vekoma. I can't think of any. LOL Dennis "get the impression that if you ride a Vekoma, you go into a ve-coma."

Uploading .ZIP files to the forums...
DenDen replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
No-go with WinXPSP2/FireFox or IE. What I want to know is, since when does a host have to mess with any file? I'm going to have to assume you're using a Windows based host? I'm a Unix/Solaris guy, I don't have these problems with my websites, and have control over everything. (Windows as an internet host sucks, you have no control over files in it!) Rob, I have no experience in PHP, but have lots in Unix (my sites are PERL based). If you have any questions about Unix or Solaris, hit me up. Ride You Felt Was Unsafe?
DenDen replied to Mr Stratosphere's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think every ride at West View in it's last season was a nightmare. I was only 5, but it made a major impression on me, and my parents also recall it being quite scarey. -

As an active member in my christian-based church, I have to say this is the FUNNIEST thing I've ever seen. I can't wait to show this one to my pastor. DenDen "wonders if Jesus Juice is a beverage option." P.S. I'd like the Centurian Salad with a side of repentance chutney. -

In Fort Lauderdale, Nick's Italian Restaurant, on A1A just north of Oakland Park Blvd. Not just good pizza, but good everything Italian. A little pricey, but great portions and excellent quality.

Does anyone know "Maui Jim" Sunglasses?
DenDen replied to Hattuchili's topic in Random, Random, Random
Yea, Elissa named all the top name brands in America. I haven't heard of Maui Jim's either. Here in South Florida, the big designers are the trend, (Versace, Armani, CK, De La Rente, Sean Paul, etc...) It seems like everyone has no problem spending $500+ on a pair of shades. I certainly don't get it. -
Here we go.... weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. My current CD cover. This is me now. I'm the happy one in the front!

Hey everybody! This thread is simple! Rather than having a million little threads about everything that goes on at Kennywood Park, this thread is designed to consolidate it all into one user-friendly thread. Feel free to use it to post updates, trip reports, questions, comments, and of course, general discussion. For pictures and videos of the park as well as past updates, see TPR's Park Index Page. Kennywood's Official Website Below are some links to past updates from the park, you may be interested in. You're right Elissa, they gotta make sure the darn thing can stop a rollback before trying a full launch, otherwise, it could roll back from the top, and smash past the station.

Yep, they come from known ad agencies, so they are also blocked! The only thing it will not block is ads hosted by the website itself. Well, here's some hints... mediocre script writer that can't make money off of his script (hacked constantly) or his memberships, so he goes the dirty-spam route. ling:

A couple years ago, I learned an ad blocking trick that works with all browsers in WindowsXP. (There are ways to do it in any operating system.) But now, someone wrote a little utility to do the trick automatically. What this little utility does is lists all known ad companies on the internet on your computer as YOU hosting the ads. In turn, you really don't host them, so nothing loads in place of the ads that any website calls, and totally speeds up your page load times. You can get the little util at http://www.everythingisnt.com/hosts.html or if your a computer pro, do it manually. (The link shows you how) For those of you who love the coaster sites, but HATE the overabundance of ads, this little trick kills them ALL! (Bite me WEBSITE NAME WITHHELD hehehehe)

LOL, I do like Pet Shop Boys, they're one of my early influences, but I'm more into Kurt Harland/Paul Robb (Information Society fame) musically. Dennis "From the Gayest City in the USA!"

ROTFLMAO!!!! And to really confuse you, I'm gay, but hate erasure, Barbara Striesand, and Rosie O'Donnel, and I think Tom Cruise is one of the ugliest men on earth.

Robb's Silver Bullet Review
DenDen replied to Dr Freeze's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Being that we're talking about B&M's... As far as any B&M ride with inversions, they seem to be all the same to me. Don't get me wrong, I like them, but the more B&Ms that spring up, the more monotonous they become. Kinda like Arrow did with it's loopers in the 80's. If you've riden one, you've pretty much ridden them all. With this new "jojo roll" thingee at Dorney, I think they're running out of ideas. I'm not suprised with the so-so reviews of thier latest creations. At least with Intamin, new ideas are coming into fuition. Storm runner is a perfect example of this. That layout is just sick.
