Wood coaster are MUCH more expensive to maintain than steel coaters. For example, woodies have to be scaled every day by a crew before the park open and check binding, bolts, frame, etc. However on a steel coaster, it muchly remains on checking reamote sensors and triggers, and breaks. Of course those have to also be checked on a woodie. I think I heard like $50,000 more a year on a woodie than a steel coaster, or something like that.

I want a PTR of going to Coin Star Question! If we do win, can we get like a preorder of Volume 7?

Right now I'm doing a school project on roller coasters. I have to write a full magazine on them. For one of my writings I'm doing the safety of Intamin rides. I just have a few questions and if I could get some quotes. 1. Why do you think most coaster enthusiasts like Intamin type rides? 2. Dose the fact of knowing most of Intamin's safety history ever scare you into not riding, or skipping over that ride? That's all I can think of right now, and thanks for the info! My thoughts: - Use more land turrains, other than just grass. - More buildings - More shops/stalls - No Pre-built rides - Dont put a station track level to the ground, (10 ft usually is good) - More themeing - Gardens and Flowers - More and different kinds of trees. - Looks good.

Ok, if you don't feel like the ride is safe, or you just don't feel comfortable riding X, then don't ride. But you can be for sure that the restraints are safe, and your legs will not be flying everywhere. I've been on it a few times, I thought the ride was a great experience, and if you do decide to ride, I hope you have a good one too.

I need to find a better battery for my video camera. I have a Panasonic PV-GS19 (http://www.mediacollege.com/equipment/panasonic/camera/pv-gs/images/pvgs19.jpg) and the battery that came with it is crap. I charge it for a week before I went to California, and I only taped 10 minutes of getting to Cali, and 5 minutes (if even) at SFMM and it died! So a total of 15 minutes of recording and dead! This was the same with DLR, KBF, and DCA. I really need a new battery, any suggestions? Something that will actually last 5 to 10 hours? The battery now says its a Li-ion/Panasonic Battery Pack.
