Kingdom de España |RCT3|
Twister II replied to coasterdude5's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Im actually really excited for this park! I have always been a fan of Spanish themed parks, but I do not have the scenery or experience with the culture to expand on it. And I am also looking forward to the fact that this will be a more 'Disney-esq' type park. Themeing > Lots of coasters. -

I think Storm needs some more themeing/landscaping and it will look great! -

Thank you for finally doing something with that entrance!!! I think a good addition to the park would be a more family/children's type area. Where the milder rides are located closer together, instead of spread throughout the park. Just my two cents. -
1997 Water World slide collapse
Twister II replied to speedracer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The kids overpowered the lifeguards when they would not let them through. Wait so the kids pretty much talked the lifeguard into letting them? I don't know if I'm understanding that correctly. The lifeguard would have surely seen the kids getting clogged up in the slide, seeing as they did it so close to the top. So if the lifeguard let them continue on the slide to clog it wouldn't the blame be laid on the lifeguard? That's exactly what I mean. If there was a (good) lifeguard up there, they would of not let this happen. Kids wouldn't shove a lifeguard out of the way. Even then, there is an emergency stop at the top of the slide. Something is missing here... -
1997 Water World slide collapse
Twister II replied to speedracer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
What type of lifeguard would even allow that?! The lifeguard at the top of the tower would clearly see the group of kids. At my waterpark, we go down the slides in trians, but never more than 6 people at a time. -
One Great thing about Wicked was that Zierer Mounted the LSM Stators to the Launch Track Sections before Shipping. That saved a lot of construction time. I wonder why Intamin Doesn't do the Same Thing? - Sid I think it would because of the quality and insurance. Im going off on a branch here but here is what I think: Regular Intamin coasters don't have staters because of the chance of them breaking during shipping. Wicked probably had some sort of insurance on them, and plus they were very behind on schedule building. So it could have been a last minute 'risky' decision. But that's just me.

Hersheypark Trip tips?

Im sure if you join the East Coast trip, there will be some sort of ERT at Hershey Park. So no need to worry! -
GLaDOS' Portal Coaster [NL]

I don't know the game at all. But the ride looks pretty cool!!! -
Oh please do. I am VERY interested in seeing the entire water park! My next project in RCT3 will be an indoor water park, and need some inspiration! Coming from a lifeguards view, I can see why slides aren't clear: Cleanliness - With water going over these pieces and people going down constantly, scum lines build up on slides. They are very tough to clean, and in sections with a 45* angle drop or steeper, it can be a challenge without any type of safety system. From a business view, you don't want to be displaying dirty slides. Aquatica has their clear fiberglass slides and THIS waterslide in Mexico. Both are underwater, where guests can't see (or are distracted) the dirty scum lines

Hey there, I'm just now starting my (fun filled?) adventure into custom scenery! I'm using Google SketchUp 6, as of right now, it's the easiest for me to understand. So I started this thread to see if I could get some help using SketchUp. I'm in the process of making a type of tube. Right now it is vertical, up and down. I want it to go horizontal. Does SketchUp have a tool to do this? Is it the rotate button? If so, I'm having troubles using that, I can't seem to get it down! Is there a way to do this? Or would I need to start over again? In the future is there a way to do this so I wouldn't have to rotate it? THANKS! P.S. ~ Im also having icon problems. I've read SurfingOz's tutorials, and still can't get them. Help with that would be appreciated!

SeaWorld Hawaii |RCT3|
Twister II replied to Twister II's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Good question. Ever since school started, I've lost a lot of motivation and time with this project. I have played with it a lot, building and fixing some stuff. Heck, a completely new coaster is in the park that you guys don't even know about! Haha. I think that the SeaWorld title is very hard to stay by. SeaWorld is dedicated to marine life, and an entire theme park about it, it's quite hard! Plus I want to set my focus on as much realism as I can, and I suck at building structures, houses, etc. I lack the patience. So the park is still there... sitting in a folder.... waiting until I return to it. Chances of that happening are slim to none. Sorry -

Oooooo. Great update, and Im looking forward to seeing what's coming next! -
What are you getting others for Christmas? Your special someone? Kids? Grandmother? Hobo down on the corner? Post it here! For my Dad, I will probably be getting him a gift certificate for a massage (he needs it!). Possibly a new wallet too. For that special someone, Im getting them a "gift basket" type of present. Inside will be an arrangement of things. There will be key chain with different type of nuts on a bolt in a box saying, "Im nuts about you". Some silk embroidered boxers, homemade cookies, a metal token saying, "Good for all of my love", and maybe a stainless steel engraved ring.

A TPR Community Park!
Twister II replied to Twister II's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^ You don't have to 'join'. You are already apart of it if you are a member on the Theme Park Review forums! It is open to EVERYONE! I would like some more peoples comments before the green light is given... -
It's a short, mini-hyper by B&M! It isn't suppose to be big in thrills. More of a family ride. The point of the ride was to start off settle (with the drop) then get progeressivly faster and scarier. I tried by best. I know it isn't perfect, I know the supports suck. But I enjoy it. I whipped it together in a couple hours, and this is my first No Limits coaster to go on Theme Park Review! Enjoy! P.S. - If you are having trouble opening the ride in the simulator, but it will open in the editor, SAVE THE TRACK. Hollywood Nightmare.nltrack Ride it! Hollywood Nightmare

A TPR Community Park!
Twister II replied to Twister II's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
A little different. This park would be under mainly 1 person, me. I would build the park, but I can't build it unless I have the communities input! But you never know what could happen... The park WILL be passed around too! Depending on ones participation with the thread, they can get the chance to take the park for a season. Doing ANYTHING they would like with it. Don't like a ride, burn it! Want a restaurant, build it! -
Hey everyone! If anyone here (which I know there is a few) is a member of the Atari Community forums, you may be familiar with a RCT3 Park, CPG. Also known as Crabtree Pleasure Gardens. View Here Never heard of a community park before? A community park is a park built by the community! The community being the Theme Park Review forums. If the park is struggling, it is up to the community making decisions for the park. At time the park is going to need your help! Coaster designs, building/stall designs, names, etc. could all be submitted and placed into this park. The best part about this type of park is that it would be completely EXCLUSIVE to ThemeParkReview.com! Staying here, no other forum! Take a look at the link posted above to see if you are interested in participating. It is open to ANYONE! If you have RCT3 or not! And if you have RCT3 (Soaked + Wild) you would be able to submit designs. Sound cool? Vote with the poll above and a background story and location will be determined at a later date. Any questions, go ahead and ask!

Hershey Hawaii [RCT3]
Twister II replied to coasterdude5's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I do remember reading earlier that HHE doesn't rebuild the same ride twice. For example, each coaster type is only used once. So a B&M inverter is out of the question. Could be a stand-up?
