If I was an engineer I would! Oh yea! Think about it, the restrains did their job, just as Maurer Söhne has advertised. Although unlikely, it could be used as a way to almost boast the coaster. Comfortable or not, those restraints held those patrons from a 200ft fall to their death. Watch some videos on their website: http://www.maurer-soehne.de/en/amusement_rides.php?cat=x-coaster&sub=x-car In a way, this is the parks fault. The situation has happened before, and nothing was done.

2 things: 1.) I just don't understand when people say things like, "I will never ride it again!" Like this story, and when SheiKra just got stuck on the holding drop. I just don't see any point in that quote except to make the park look bad. 2.) When a park buys a ride (especially a coaster) isn't it an option to have a backup power source in case things like this happen? Im not sure on this, anyone know? Like on more ... 'regular' coaster lifts, it could just push the train over with a few mantince guys, or get patrons off the ride.

A family that whores together, stays together! Year 2 Update - Pre-opening Its really hard to run a rolleycoaster when you don't have trains! Wonder where they went.... MORE SOON! The park opened up this new year...minus Wii. Track has been repainted over the off season. The track though is still sitting there... From Troy's lift, sex looks GREAT. OoOo, is this the sex? I think it is. Adventure Rapids is suppose to bring in a HUGE crowd this year! The summers are heating up!

That's a pretty sweet coaster! I'd definitely love to see that built one day, haha. -
^ From where?! Greeley Estates? Year 1 Update - End of year ...and here is the south side of the park! Next Update: Year 2 opening MORE SOON Here is the north side of the park... And for the last few weeks for the first season, Wii is down. Chances are it won't reopen. This was taken while leaving the park. Hmmmm... While riding Mosh, I noticed something... Xtreme Bounce was added to the park a few weeks ago. Since, it has become a hit with kids!

Yes, Greeley, Colorado. Just look where I live... How I got the name was because Greeley, CO is a very farm-type town. There is a lot of land here and there, and thought it would be like "Oh, this is what the amusement park in Greeley, CO would look like!" Weird, yes, I know. =P And yes, I've heard of Greeley Estates. Yet, they had nothing to do with the naming of the park. They are quite popular around this area. The band comes here often and I saw them play at Warped Tour last year. However, I don't really know any of their music.

At least we aren't bitching like people at the Atari Forums about your dive coaster. Haha! -
Year 1 Grand Opening Oh, one last shot....construction! As you see, many people do not like Wii. It ran empty most of the day. PLEASE - tell me what you think, how to improve, your ideas! More soon. Wicked Wheel was down all day. Those systems keep being a booger. Mosh was a hit with the families and thrill seekers. ...however, the coaster (like Insanity) had long lines all day. Line were okay for the smaller rides... Surprisingly, FALL was one of the most popular attractions throughout the day. Crowds piled into the park for the grand opening of The Greeley Experience!

The queue having a lil adventure/water theme. I like it! Sign soon hopefully. Watch towers are along the side, making sure everyone is okay. Say goodbye to dry! It's quite a wild ride! Guests are sure to love it.

^ Yes, Im ARC trained. Here's a question, how many ELLIS guards does it take you to backboard and quick water removal a person? -

I would love to be a lifeguard there (Im one now for the City of Greeley), however, I don't support ELLIS at all. And Im sure the hour drive each way isn't worth it. -

2 things: 1.) Is this why only the wave pool, children's area, and tube slides are open at Island Kingdom? Because lifeguards aren't trained yet? 2.) The trims on the 2nd drop yes, but the trims before the tunnel were not there last year. And yes, I do remember something about slowing the trains down too. Which side of the park do you work on? -
Well here is one I guess. My boyfriend will ride Mind Eraser and Twister II, but refuses to get on Halfpipe! I want to help him conquer his fear with heights, but don't know how.

Well I decided to go with an Intamin drop tower! FAAAaaaaallllllllll Last update tonight...maybe... Leave some sexy comments! Pretty much the entire park so far. More soon. Fall is controlled by the raised booth here. Ride ops must be specially certified. An overview. While in the queue, patrons are shown videos, and objects dealing with height. Notice the vertical drop cars? Vertical wild mouse? Scaffolding? Pretty much building adrenaline for the ride. The queue for fall is the most themed out of every ride in the park so far. A 250ft drop. Yes. Not one for the weak stomached! The land has gone to good use!

PTR/UPDATE: Elitch Gardens
Twister II replied to Twister II's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
From what I heard, it was because of the final break run. The final break run, the train came on very fast, and the slam of it breaks was extremely uncomfortable. This is not a lot of room to slow a train down from 30mph to 0mph. -
Very small update in the Wii area, so now it won't look so empty. Also throw in some ideas to what you would like to see! This plot of land is one of the last that will have to be developed before the grand opening! Any suggestions? More soon. Wii has received some new fences around the paths and low clearance areas (bottom of loop, and bottom of cobra roll, see them?), a new bathroom, and lots of bushes! Quite a make-over for such a bad ride. A Starbucks Coffee shop has been added, its only patio seating. Hope people won't complain to much about the rainy weather...

The only coaster thats a lil' iffy to me is Tigre. Its got a funky layout. What kind of coaster ends with a vertical drop?
