  1. I switched back to the 360 after 1 year of the PS3 mid year. Sucks I have to re buy all my games again.. grr. xbl gamertag: Raptor2002 Games mostly on: COD W@W right now.... All map packs. I do play serious but not mean serious *No glitch or mods, I hate those people.
  2. I haven't seen this one before thought you guys would like it lol lol
  3. I agree Halo ODST is not worth 60 bucks. But. Anyone considering getting the game, here's what you need to do. Go to best buy sign up for the rewards zone, and gamers club. * Print out the 10 dollar gift card for odst. Go to toys r us, print the sunday ad for the 20 dollar gift card with purchase. Go to best buy have them price match toy r us (they will take 20 right off the price, plus use the gamer rewards for the 10 dollar gift card. Game now cost 29.99 *You only have until the 26th to do this. If you have best buy rewards check and see if you have enough points for a rewards certificate. I only paid 12.04 cents for the game, but I would have been mad if I paid 59.99 for it. If anyone wants to play co-op or fire fight hit me up xbl: raptor2002
  4. I know Went every couple of weekends from opening until I moved right before Andrew hit. Search on face book for "Remembering Six Flags Atlantis" and you will find hundreds of pictures, etc. Even some first years and when they also had the rides. sigh. Back on topic. Stupid water
  5. I am actually really surprised we haven't seen of a ton of on the scene camera phone videos and pictures all over the net. But they really need a better setup for the launch system. It never made the most sense to me. Nothing wrong with being extreme, new, or different but sometimes it seems like safety & logic does take a back seat with progress. Cables will always snap and be 100% unpredictable, everyone knows that. This was a bad design were safety should have been thought about better. Cable should be under the track surface in a square channel or something with a lifter arm to the cart. Absolute min they should have a windshield on these trains. What caused it or not does not change what is preventable injury and or damage. Just my thought.. I will still ride TTD. Just not in the front.
  6. SFOG is in pretty good shape. All the real mechanics are higher ground level. This happens all the time to them and most of the park is higher elevation. I would be very surprised if minus some paint touch up's maybe lumber replacement they will have any ride issues at all. It always did amaze me how GASM always makes it out with no harm. You would think erosion issues, footer issues, etc but she always ends up fine *ParkTrips Any word on when they expect the river to crest? Worse case scenario *But hopefully with much better bathing suits...
  7. ^ here's the video link http://www.wane.com/dpp/weather/weather_1/video_wx_cnn_six_flags_coasters_under_water_200909220857 Looks like it might be higher then usual. Hard to tell, hopefully it is just the typical yearly flood. Hate it for the people. I live 4.5 - 5 hours south and we are bone dry.
  8. RE: Retro_Gaga Awesome thanks for the picture. That whole over the head remark kind of had me at a surprise, but that makes full sense now. Thanks
  9. Facts page: Safety Restraint: Individual over-the-head lap bars with hand grips OTSR to me is over the head and on a water flume, not cool. I really hope that was a mistype or meaning something else. http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/park/rides/water/shoot_the_rapids.cfm I think the ride will be a good add for the park even tho most people really expected something larger and more extreme.
  10. I have ideas but they are borderline on the PG13 concept.. So here's the g rated. Upgrade? Surf's up.. *That would so rock, well until the bottom anyways The Magneto Show.. Sniff, Horizons..
  11. Man I did bomb the Catwoman I was trying to think of the worst flicks, ha. But as for Dream Works. http://corporate.disney.go.com/news/corporate/2009/2009_0209_dreamworks_studios.html ? Not sure if I missed something but that was my understanding... I also think Wes hit it right on the nail with the demographics. Disney really has needed more age range in its content very badly. But beside merchandise I do not expect to see any Marvel rides for a while.
  12. Farness to the movies… Fox is the one that keeps screwing them up, not Marvel Iron Man, Hulk (last release) was Marvel… Wolverine, X-men, etc. were all destroyed by Fox. I think this is a brilliant move on Disney. First they take Spielberg and get Dream Work’s distribution rights from Universal, now this… I think it’s also some what personal. The amount of royalties, licensing, etc. This purchase could exceed even Harry Potter in the “big picture” and future growth. As long as Disney keep’s Jon Favreau to direct the movies, it’s all good. That’s a lot of materials and properties. Tv Shows, Games, Movies, toys, publishing… If Michael Eisner was behind this I would be terrified, but Iger seems to but much more aggressive “so far” and has a much better quality output strive.
  13. Or get out of the boat during the ride... Hate it happened, and I hope for cont. my faith in humanity this was not another stupid act of bad judgment. Still sad either way. *Remember that you tube video of the kid going though the water to get his hat @ JP. I just don't get it...
  14. End of the day I see nothing but pro’s. 100% smart direction for the park, and the park’s future. PKD doesn’t have the best collection but a pretty good assortment of types which I love. Color’s and theme, well… You know But come on the CF red and yellows arguments are legit... It’s not a bash of the ride, rather a.. I just don’t get it. I still give CF props, they are getting better with this whole theme idea. And with this lower profile design keeping the ride as a ground hugger the budget hopefully will have enough peso’s left for some nice landscaping and grounds setup. I don’t see how anyone in this rides market could not be happy. If it’s that bad they can have Rockit and we will take the Intamin Giga
  15. Can we please stop with the red and yellow... I swear it's like they had tons of paint left over from TTD or something. Not knocking red or yellow paint, but i think it's time for CF to diversify with the color wheel paint options. Other then that looks kind of simple but I really like the looks of those air time hills. They should have some sweet speed which could be awesome. Really wish they would have gone for some more radical elements although. Looking forward to it either way. .. Trains do look cool. I am actually surprised they have the Chevy badge on them. Interesting to see if that stays.
  16. I had a chat with some current and past op friends. Because yes the Mapo would have e-stopped... Only way we could see this happening Pink might have broken down and cleared into station, then pink would have gone into mapo over ride with limited visibility and if newer might not have been using the mirrors as your supposed to in reverse., etc. Subtract radios which they probably didn't have... Platform not looking for a train coming in backwards (Would also be why no one cut power, aka e-stop) Night time with highly limited visibility already... Maximum speed @ station is 15 mph. But 2 objects of movement would make sense for the volume of damage. Bad feeling this is going to fall on Monorail Central CM part of the issue as others are also thinking. I feel horrible for the family and those who had to see this and this guys friends and family. Poor guy he didn't have a chance, and it should not have happened. Simply speculation, rumor, please take with a grain of salt, but the scenario other then huge massive failures (I mean massive like driver passed out, mapo system failed, Central lost power, the works all at the same time...) leads to this type of direction. * For the needs more computers crowd.. Even more automation would still require bypasses. Human judgment calls and corrections save so many people every day. Human factor cannot be removed. As for the cameraman, you really cannot get much lower in life during a tragic event of any form. @ astroworldfan1 WDW Monorails do have data recorders on monorails. I'm sure DL does too, not sure.
  17. I haven't been to Sea World in like a month. I will be in Orlando this weekend might just have to jump in and do some prospecting I'm nowhere close to being lucky enough for a little soft opening surprise tho =(
  18. Ginzo is right on the money with “could mutate into something nastier” This is moving very fast, and as WHO declared is person to person. The key still is the full effects and how wide spread is it really. I do think people should take this situation with more then a grain of salt, just in case. Heck early word out of NY. “New York City Health Commissioner: 'Many Hundreds' of School Students Sick With Suspected Swine Flu” “Los Angeles Officials Probe Two Possible Swine Flu Deaths” I just feel like the media is doing a very poor job in educating the public on this. Confirmed cases are just those that the CDC has lab tested not to count in the large numbers that would have been moved though the clinics with just a suspected flu not knowing better and not counting those who have not seen a doctor. Effects are different in each of us.
  19. http://www.wftv.com/news/19311020/detail.html#- Just a heads up for you guys to monitor. I'm not much of a doomsday kind of person and hoping this isn't to bad but I think it's safe to say this is coming to all corners of the US.
  20. Don't forget pinball died in the 90's. Only company left is Stern which basically absorbed the assets of DE/Sega, Williams, etc. Williams did make the best machine and Bally was also quality. I think the main reason behind the popularity was the licensing, not to mention design, layouts, etc. Those games really became fun and creative in the 80-90's in the SS later era but video cabinets and home consoles finally won the war. ipdb.org is a fun site tho. You can download the games manuals, roms, sound clips, research units made, etc. Everything bu Gottlieb, Steve has all rights and licensing. So if you have a Gottlieb and need parts.. www.pbresource.com, Steve's the man. I just miss the old classic neon game rooms growing up.
  21. That particular person was defensive over that fact that I stated my opinion that Manta looked a little bleh. Thats when he responded to my comment that HRRR is looking fantastic. Some people get so defensive! Dude grow up. And I didn't respond to your post. That was defensive? Really? How old are you? Hey if your excited about an out and back steel coaster which I see being built every few weekends, hey whatever. Some people like more intense rides, some don't. Move on, I'm not giving anyone a hard time who's excited for it. Hey it's a new coaster for Orlando whats not to like. And also next time actually please quote my remarks and not pick and choose as I also stated my hopes for this to be a sleeper hit, and also stated I hope I'm wrong with my opinion. To me, again get past it (my views) Rocket looks currently boring. Boring in sense could have been much more. (Again my opinion, sorry it differs) Cheers!
  22. http://ipdb.org/ Only real top lists I have seen. #1 Twilight Zone (Bally,1993) #2 Star Trek: The Next Generation (Williams,1993) #3 The Addams Family (Bally,1992) #4 Medieval Madness (Williams,1997) #5 Theatre of Magic (Bally,1995) #6 Indiana Jones: The Pinball Adventure (Williams,1993) #7 Cirqus Voltaire (Bally,1997) #8 Creature from the Black Lagoon (Bally,1992) #9 Tales of the Arabian Nights (Williams,1996) #10 Monster Bash (Williams,1998) For the CA folks, I remember Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk having a decent amount but tending to be the newer stern machines. Stern's are not bad just do not have the same feel and really are built more for home use then arcades. I still say even for a DE, Jurassic Park is way under rated. Fav pin I own, and much fun.
  23. ^ I think Manta has a chance to hit that Raptor element of fun, maybe. It's not the size rather the layout and arrangement of those elements that make them great. I would rather have a smaller shorter action packed coaster with sustained speeds then drawn out pocket rocket or trims of death one. Manta just might have enough action to make it great and not just good. I think this was a smart idea for them, and again like with Kraken opens the door to being exclusive. Hope to find out soon One things for sure I am going to be whoring my re rides on this one.
  24. I am still very interested to see if this ride somehow has some kind of sleeper hit to it. “Hope so” It looks boring, and very low capacity with way to many blocks. I hate blah straight track, any good parts of the ride will be absorbed into the straight line of death trims. But saying that hey anything new to the parks is always a plus either way. Just hard for me to get excited about it, for me anyways. Hope to be proven wrong
