I think I would actually travel to ride that coaster if it were built! It has the best of everything in my opinion! -

Thats not how most construction projects work around here. If you contract someone to do something and they screw it up, its up to them to fix it. Thats the cause of a law suit....but in this case I have no idea. This doesn't seem like intamin screwed up at all. Its just an intense ride that the general public wasn't quite ready for. -

Really, people were expecting anything different than widening the turn? -

Meh, when it comes to coasters there really isn't anything new under the sun, regardless of company. There's only so much thats left to be done thats really innovative. -
IMO, it's not the effect, it's for safety reasons. The trains on Dare Devil Dive and Huracan (Belantis) are a whole row longer than the standard Eurofighter trains like on Rock Bottom Plunge. The drop would produce unbearable negative forces for those riding in the back if it wasn't fitted with a holding brake. Not true. Thats merely 2-3 foot more of car. Thats not enough to take g forces from bearable to unbearable. Also Huracan doesn't stop. in my opinion the forces are counteracted by the larger diameter at the crest vs the small diameter on traditional eurofighters.

No, what I was saying is that just isnt a section of a park for them. This 'is' the wizarding world and J.K. Rowling didnt want this to be a novelity addition to all the parks. Im not saying it cant be done but I dont know how Rowling would feel about having various hogwarts scattered around the world. First of all it would expensive as hell if stayed true and a replica of USO's version. UO already had the basic rides they just built forbidden journey but if its to be a replica they would have to build 2 expensive dueling coasters, all buildings from stratch and a jr coaster. I know I personally wouldnt want to go to USH to experience it when the same thing is right here on the east coast. I think people from all over the world have shown UO they they are fine with it being just there and didnt mind traveling all the way there. Now what would be cool is if UH could build a section like it but themed to a different franchise (world of warcraft perhaps).

The same way a heartline can be replaced with a s-turn, a loop can be replaced with a straight section. I dont think they said they are starting at the bottom of the turn to where it starts to go up. Remember the pictures so half of the second hill gone. I personally think an overbank would be harder than widening the turn. -

Universal-WWOHP Passholder Event... Sheesh!
jarmor replied to ka8911's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
ka8911, I would also suggest (and this is for anyone) that if you have a pass for a park its good to find a good fan site for that park as well. I would suggest http://www.orlandounited.com/forums/forum.php for things to do with universal orlando. If it weren't for that site I wouldn't have known as much about the park and the pass options as I do and did for my trips there. -

jarmor replied to ka8911's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Personally I knew about it for a while now but im not going. I dont see whats special about it. 2 extra hours to be in the area? I never had a congestion problem so thats not a selling point for me. -
