I kinda feel that the midwest trip is to give everyone else across the pond a chance to get to us parks so the spain trip is where im leaning right now. Although i'm looking foward to the japan trip im gonna put dibs on the spain trip until... Jarvis "Being the token black guy I know I get extra perks right?" Morant

  9. Ok, having all day to have the news sink in I can give my honest opinion... I think this is exactly what BGE needs and it's obvious busch didnt want to take too much of a risk and went w/ a tried and true version and *tweek'ed* it some. The floorless 10 row deep trains were soo unexpected. And I love how the fact that it give you an "instant replay" of what makes sheikra the awesome coaster it is. I can just imagine the feel of a first time rider hitting those brakes and experiencing what just tooked their breath away again, hence my deja vu reference earlier, I dont know too much about the terrain at BGE since I have never been there but im sure its gonna be a great coaster to look at. And now c'mon guys you know the water splash down HAD to be included. Its like a trademark for the american dive coasters now (yeah yeah I know its only one w/ it but still its a cool effect none the least! So with that said I think this coaster is gonna be just as good as sheikra and give a totally different feeling! Jarvis "anticipating the 'Poll:which is better sheikra or griffon' threads " Morant
  10. Shouldnt this ride be called deja vu'...
  11. so...who were the ones saying this was gonna be better than sheikra?? Looks the same to me!

  15. hey wes the lotion is strictly for the body and not "the" body part lol, im more advance than lotion lol . I forgot to mention that all the material cost like 80.00 dollars! Jarvis "about to go into the shelfing business" Morant!
  16. I recently purchased a house, a pretty "cozy" home and I have be able to use my innovative mind to make the best use of my limited amount of space. So I sat down one day and made some blue prints for a closet unit that will let me use as much space the closet has to offer while not making it look too cluttered. The other thing I had to do was come up w/ a design and use less material as possible which in turn would cut the cost of the project! The option for a dresser and things like that were out because I dont like a room too crowded. I also had another obstacle, the air ventilation thingy is also located in the closet so I had to work around that and make it accessible if need be so lets go on the journey! Another angle looking at my "swanky" brand new wardrobing area! not only do I have space but an awesome view! Finally finished WITH room to spare! Ahh...almost there... To the workshop! Another shelf for my long pants appeared out of no where! Im getting the swing of things now... Up and up and up... Back to the "work shop" to add more pieces! Getting an idea of how its gonna look... First couple pieces...this is fun because im building w/ no prefab parts! For the next couple of hours the living roon is turned into my workshop! This is what I have to work with...I have to make a unit efficent enough to hold all of my clothes!
  17. I thought the movie was piss poor...the deaths weren't as graphic as the other two movies and it was just too quick... Jarvis "they should have ended w/ 2" Morant
  18. More pics... The end... Later BORG But until then...this will do! Next time Cyclone...shania should be taller then or they will make taller shoes! 19. Well last friday, aug 4th, I decided to take my little cousin shania to paramount's carowinds to kill 2 birds with one stone. She had only been to the park for the boombay media/VIP day and didn't get to experience the whole park and since last friday was a lunch with the characters day I decided it would be a great day for her to see the whole park and meet some "super stars". After making a quick stop at walmart to get her a bathing suit (she left her other one at her house), some sandals w/ 2 inch soles on them (c'mon she is a mini thrill seeker and she was dissapointed at dollywood so we weren't gonna take that chance again ), and some towels we were on our way to the park. We got there around 10:30 and from first impression the crowd on a scale of 1-10 was a 5 slightly leaning towards a 4. After snapping some pictures of her infront of the paramount's carowinds sign we finally made it into the park. Ohhh actually I was killing 3 birds with one stone! Im doing a reality based DVD for shania where im documenting her growing up and filming her in different situations. I've already did vol. 1 which consisted of her visits to my moms house (when I was living there) and her rambling on in make believe land. Vol 2 is starting with her graduation and then we take it on the road at places like dollywood, walmart, carowinds, and other places in between! Our first ride of the day was the wild thornberry's river adventure. I dont think I have ridden this since the change but its still the same. I have to say its a pretty fast flume after the first drop and it would have been even nicer if they had some theme throughout the entire course but oh well. After a wild ride on reptar we went to experience her first character meal. One thing I can say about paramount's carowinds is that they really know how to make the guest feel special even with the little things. upon walking to the picnic shelter you realize your now walking on the red carpet lined with balloons that ends with very eager employees who seem to have been waiting just for you to show up! After babbling with Scott (in case you dont know he's the public relations mananger and the guy that keeps me outta trouble ) about all kinds of stuff shania and me went to grab our plate and take over the buffet. It was your typical picnic style menu with fried chicken and stuff like that. Before I forget let me mention this event was PACKED!! I know it was several hundred people people there and at 12.99 per adult and 7.99 per child there is no way this event couldnt have been sucessful. After a few minutes the show started. The crew came out and did a musical number then the characters came out. I was starting to wonder how they were going to give the kids their 1 on 1 time with the characters since it was like a billion kids there but once the characters came out they formed lines infront of each one. Even with that it was a mad house! The park had almost every suit character out there for the event which suprised me and they were out for the majority of the event. Man, kids were falling out because they had to leave the characters, they were following the characters and wouldn't let them go back. I have to admit I was getting a little jealous because they were stealing what is usually my attention and publicity! When the characters took their first break I ran into Natividad (the assistant public relations mananger and again, someone who saves me butt ) and chatted a few with her about the new coaster comming to the park next year. When the characters came back out shania and me took some more pics and high tailed it outta there before the kids go crazy again. I have to say, I have a new found respect fo paramount's carowinds. I have never notice all the stuff the park has to keep FAMILIES busy the whole day. Even with moderate to light crowds shania and me didn't do everything in the park and we were there from 10:30 that morning to 5:30 that afternoon. We didnt even attempt the water park because I knew we didnt have enough time for that! Paramount's Carowinds is definitely a park that a family would have to take more than one day to get the full experience and its a place where lots of memories can and will be made. The enviroment is soo welcoming and you dont feel rushed to do anything. What ever the park is doing I sooo hope they continue in the days to come and I really hope cedar fair looks at paramount's carowinds and possibly take notes because they have struck gold when they aquired paramount's carowinds. Well enough of the babble on to the pictures... I soo hope I dont get this man fired!!...more pics comming soon! They came back and look who they brought! When characters are away...shania likes to play! No TR is complete w/o food! Scott and Natividad doing what they do best... Hola Diego! Shania was all like "why is his head shinny and hard and the rest are not?" Awww...family picture...well kinda! (I just notice chucky and me are kinda dressed alike! OMG!!1!11!!) Picture time! W...O...W and thats only like 30% of the crowd! At first I thought all this was for me until I was brought back to reality... ...are we there yet... Shania is so ready to eat she is about to rip off the sign! The place to be in 100 degree weather... Back to BORG... More theming, more adventurer's (is that even a word lol...) Theming...thru the trees!11!! In the mean time...snapped some shots of BORG Assimilator... Waiting for river adventure...w/ some adventurers dropping in the background! Lets play where's wal...I mean Shania! Shania realizing how hot the sign really is! Shania in the Paramount's Carowinds sign. Ahhh what a sight to behold...
  20. As for PARAMOUNT'S Carowinds, no changes at all. Partly because there isn't much to change. The park is well ran and seem to employ people who want to be there from what I see. You still see VP's of whatever operations they are associated to walking around with brooms and dust pans keeping the park looking good, you still hear the ride ops asking how was your ride and trying to make your day enjoyable, and you still have good ride operations. I personally dont see anything that cedar fair needs to do to "improve" the guest experience at paramount's carowinds. I can see them eliminating some things like re-rides but I dont see them having to do an extreme makeover to the place. As far as what I would like to see happen in the future...not much of anything. The park is doing very well in it's current state. I dont see the need for paramount's carowinds to run out and get a hyper coaster or a mega thrill ride because its not something the park despirately needs right now. Sure as any if you on here I would love to see another good quality coaster coaster, not having to be a hyper coaster or an OMG record breaking coaster, installed at the park and I would also love to see some flats make paramount's carowinds their home but all that will come in due time since the park isn't lacking in any department...dispite what some people may say!
  21. I read the article and he didnt die on the coaster he died on the way to the hospital. Theres a BIG difference...
  22. So what are the flyers, the water park, and the other 7 roller coasters and other rides in the park for... The attendance at the park has been on a steady rise and it does alot better than some parks WITH hyper coasters! It takes more than a hyper coaster to get the people in the park and carowinds has proven this time and time again.
  23. hummm... How did that manage to get thrown into the mix!
