  1. I want to ride the Deja Vus but I am banned due to height (way too tall). As for the Eagle, I remember the first time I rode it back on it's opening year. I thought that was the biggest baddest and coolest thing ever. I still love that coaster. I only wish a gazillioaire would buy the park and return it to the total themed glory of the Marriott days. It's a country of fun for everyone at Marriott' Great America. Ok , i'm done.
  2. Hence the exact reason you see me talk very LITTLE about the project I'm currently working on. --Robb "Because I know better!" Alvey C'mon Robb, spill the beans!!! Just kidding. On a serious note, where I work, I have to remove my badge when I go next door because we have competition floating around everywhere.
  3. That reinforces the point I am trying to make. If these characters are critical to the company image (which they are), Disney needs to be very careful who they put in the costume. In addition they need to make it worth their while to mind thier Ps and Qs. I saw Bozo the clown smoking backs stage when I was a little kid. I still watched Bozo, and I haven't smoked to this day.
  4. But I could see moms w/kids at their side typing "Disney Characters" into Google to get costume ideas for Halloween. I realize that this is bad for Disney, but has anyone stopped to think that this might not have happened if the CMs were paid a bit better. The employee might actually give a crap about Disney and not do these things. I know this was in Paris, but if their turnover is anything like Anaheim, there is no loyalty and this shouldn't come as a surprise. If these characters are so valuable (which they are) maybe Disney should use more that legal coercion to keep the CMs within expected behaviour standards for characters. $8 bucks or so doesn't make for loyal employees.
  5. It's too bad to see this happen to the company that gave us the Terrell Owens "Desperate Housewives" ad before a Monday Night Football game. I do agree though that the CMs need to be canned.
  6. I went to Great America two years ago in October. Never again. I had the same thing going on line wise as you did. As for the Demon going retro, I say go all the way back to "Turn of the Century". Nothing like MAJOR ejector air into the OTSRs on those first two hills. Oh the pain!
  7. Bold as Love - John Mayer version. Not quite Hendrix, but ok!
  8. It least it wasn't another Tigger episode.
  9. Modern Marvels is the show of shows in my book. Throw that in with "Hitler's Drugged Lesbian Fantasies" and I am set. Seriously, it is a great channel. P.S Hows your puppy?
  10. If anybody is willing to send care packages, I will gladly receive them.
  11. LOL. Now for more pain www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-V-qEO7OlY GO BEARS!!!!!
  12. Too late for that. The awesome 20,000 leagues gave way to Winnie the Pooh's playground. Ariel will be delegated to her grotto. Much cheaper to do than a ride.
  13. The only part that was good was Walter Payton's rhyme. "They call me sweetness cause I like to dance. Runnin' with the ball's like makin romance." Rest in peace Walter #34. You are missed As Gary Fencik's part..............
  14. How many weeks till the Bears do another bad rap song like 85'? That was awful! GO BEARS!!!!
  15. The Cubs will have to win the World Series first. Smooth Vekomas would be the fourth horseman of the Apocolypse
  16. I don't think this post belongs here, but here goes. A Coors Silver Bullet. Hey, I was thirsty, and that's all there was.
  17. Did I say he was still alive? Use your imagination.
  18. They want to do a PoTC theme so they won't need to use the Imagineers. It'll probably end up like that playground that replaced 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea at the Magic Kingdom. Makes me scream arrrgh!
  19. How about "Tom Sawyer II - Injun ( Native American) Joe's Cave. That would be right out out of the Disney playbook. II, III, IV, and so on....
  20. Hey Disney, I have an idea. How about make a new Tom Sawyer movie (ala the proposed Jungle Cruise movie). Believe me it will make money if it is family oriented. Take some of the movie profits and refresh the Islands, do a promo on Disney Channel and ABC,and you'll boost park attendance. Please no more Pirates. I'm afraid that before long there will be boys running around the parks in their "Disney Pirates" products just like the "Disney Princesses".
  21. Little Dipper at Kiddieland in Melrose Parl, Il . It's classic wood.
  22. I'm speechless! The picture lasted on my PRIVATE office wall less that two hours before I was told to remove it. This is one overly sensitive screwed up country.
  23. Hell, I just printed it out so I can tape it to my office wall in the morning. If anybody asks me about the picture, I'll tell them it's my cousin. I say everybody should print it and put it up in their office! P.S. I'm whiter than white.
  24. I am really into the parks now since I am getting to take my kids. I think I have more fun watching my kids than riding. Other than WDW, Discovery Cove, and BGA, I try not to repeat parks. That is how I keep from getting burned out.
  25. You seem to bee too nice for Lexington, KY. Lexington is more like the butthole capitol of the world.
