  1. Juvelen has done a very good job this summer. Despite it's downtime it has given the park a record season, with over 700 000 guests already, excluding the Halloween event. It should also be noted that the entire summer has been almost always sunny, but the CEO of the park has stated that Juvelen played a very big part in the record attendance as well. Hopefully next summer will be just as good, since there have been a few rainy summers here in recent years.
  2. That is awesome if true! Is it an official announcement tonight, or a rumour that there will be one?
  3. No, Sandor Kernacs only said that they did not believe the wooden coaster was the best one to put inversions in. He said nothing about weather or not they were going to do it, if asked about it. I would seriously doubt that Intamin would refuse it, if somebody wanted it from them, and had the cash for it. But my bet at SFGA is definitely RMC.
  4. At 40 meters tall, and 100km/h it is certainly bigger than expected. with all the near misses, Transylvanian vampire themening, an airtime hill that looks like it will have ejector and a kick ass looking layout, this will probably be the best wing coaster of them all. I dare to get my hopes up. I really love the layout. Krake was my favorite ride at Heide, in terms of the overall feeling. The theming was purely awesome, and extremely well done, so I think this well be just as awesomely themed.
  5. Here's a great video from the park. Here are some more photos: Looks like Polin really have improved their shut down lanes for speed slides. Source
  6. Polin has opened up a new park during the summer. Here are some photos. Here is the big slide tower. It also has a cool looking play structure. Along with the kick-ass corner slide. And a pretty big wave pool. New for 2013 is that Polin now can produce the entire Boomerango slide in RTM. Even the flat bottomed drop into the wall is shiny. And so is the bowl slide. It's pretty impressive that they can build these big chambers in RTM. Some standard slides, with light pattern. Here's another angle. There is also a speed slide/mat racer tower. This is the first freefall slide with a drop box Polin has built. They have done a few non inverting loop slides before with drop boxes. There's also an Octopus racer. Oversupported as hell, in true Polin style. Fully RTM manufactured however. The downward slope is not very steep, and pretty long and drawn out. Overall it looks like a really cool park, that I would love to visit. Source
  7. And to everybody's surprise, it's blue! Joking aside, that's one of the highest quality rides in the world right there, hopefully they will take care of it.
  8. In no particular order: Intamin: Balder Mack: Gruvbanan Gerstlauer: Vilda Musen B&M: Daemonen GCI: Woodan TGG: Twister Zamperla: Tyfonen Pinfari: Superloopen Vekoma: Hang Over Maurer Söhne: Winjas Schwarzkopf: Jetline S&S: Falken Zierer: Nyckelpigan
  9. Whitewater Abyss And that Aquacourse looks amazing, and so does the play structure. I really wonder what the final price tag for that building is.
  10. Most things are open. The LSM coaster will be "available in October" according to the parks website.
  11. That was... unexpected. It defiantly looked like they would go with a invert. This is probably better tough, for the average guest.
  12. Another picture popped up on the parks Facebook. This one is turning out to look amazing. It is based on the one in Draper, Utah at Cowabunga bay, and it looks like it has been greatly improved. The only thing I noticed is that there seems to be a lack of open slides on this one, since most big slides looks to be tunnels.
  13. Maybe, but probably not even close to the magnitude of the ones here in Europe
  14. It's going to be interesting to see how tall this one will be. I don't think it will reach the 200 feet mark, but I would love to be proven wrong on this. My guess would be for most inversions on an invert.
  15. Work continues in Thailand. A new angle of the big complex: But what's most exciting is this shot, of the new huge CARTOONIVAL play structure going up. Looks awesome! From the parks Facebook.
  16. That's the track for the launch, right? Looks like it anyway. Edit: Never mind, I saw it now. I got a bit to excited to read beneath the photos
  17. As I said, they are working crazy fast. Within one day, the walls are already going up on the station. Source
  18. Holy crap, there's a snake in the photos, I hate you! No not really, but it really took me by surprise (I have a huge phobia for snakes). I could only imagined what would have happened to me if I had seen it in real life, like you. Great photo report!
  19. This! I can not wait for the day when I will get the chance to try it.
  20. Construction is moving fast, and they are already working on the station. Source
  21. Update time! Dosen't these look nice and comfy? The pull-through has started. Roller coaster nerd heaven! This is what you do when want your coffee break in the middle of a pull-through. The themening on the elephant for the drop tower has started. And the other foot. It's going to look amazing when finished. The, to this date, biggest Mack Supersplash in the world is starting to go up. Can't wait to see the layout for it. I have no doubt that the themening for it will be amazing. Source
