  1. I agree that I much preferred the original layout as well, apart from the added corkscrew after the station. It is no secret, however, that it would have been a disaster to not have a high point after the second launch, both in terms of capacity and a miss-launch. I think the the section between the second corkscrew down to the Pretzel will be epic as well, but I also really like the flow after that, up until the second launch. Next season can't come soon enough!
  2. I am so happy that you are so passionate about this ride! (I am as well, but it's a long way from Malmö for me)
  3. Not really sure how I feel about those yet.
  4. It's shaping up really nice! Looks like the station will be kind of super-sized for the big coaster. Source
  5. Using the new Proslide World Alley concept they could easily build something unique in the states. Just take a few different element and put on it, and there you have it. We know that the new Hurricane Harbor for Georgia will be getting one with a bowl and a tornado wall, so that's of the table. They could also buld americas first rocket or mammoth water coaster with features. Source Or it could be something completely different.
  6. Awesome! I'm guessing they do the launches first, so the technicians can start to wire them up. I didn't realized how tall the second launch will be, looks good!
  7. Can't wait to see how the trains turns out!
  8. It was said earlier that the location for the new ride was not finalized and also not the faith of Super Wirbel. The park has now said that Super Wirbel will be leaving, and that the last chance to ride it will be on the 31st of October. There is no word yet if the ride has been sold, or if it will be scrapped. Theres also no info if the new coaster will use it's location or not, but I would guess that it will, now that Super Wirbel is leaving. I'm also pretty sure I read that the new coaster would be getting its own unique theme, but don't quote me on that.
  9. I still think it's funny that the small Powerpark in Finland added a Mach Tower clone and have operated it without problems for 2 seasons now!
  10. Wait, RCDB has a Facebook page? Well I'll be damned!
  11. FINALLY! Love the colors! Hopefully the paint scheme will be better than the two Drop Zone towers for KI and KD.
  12. Remember that the old B&M restraints have been around since the early 90's. Even if there is nothing wrong with them, B&M probably felt the need to renew them. Especially with how many new restraints there are out there on other manufacturers new rides.
  13. I'll be right back, I'm just gonna change my underwear. I hope they will plant some new trees around the ride when it is finished, It looks a little bit to open with everything they have taken down.
  14. ^ Vertical construction have been going on for 2 months now, so I wouldn't say it's going that fast.
  15. Okay, some pretty big changes since the last time I did my top 10. 1. Piraten, Djurs Sommerland. --> It is simply the best ride in the world, IMO. All the elements are exactly where they should be. 2. Expedition Geforce, Holiday Park. --> Very close to the Megalite, however the airtime is not as strong. Best first drop in the world. 3. Balder, Liseberg. --> The ride with the most airtime in my mind. The lack of twists keeps it away from the top spot. 4. Colossos, Heide Park. --> This giant is just pure airtime heaven, and so re-rideable. 5. Insane, Gröna Lund. --> Probably the most awesome ride in the world per square feet. 6. Blue Fire, Europa Park. --> Amazing ride, even though it's not the most intense. The roll and the post loop turn is to die for. 7. Stealth, Thorpe Park. --> Best launch I have been on to date. 8. Juvelen, Djurs Sommerland. --> Such an amazing coaster for everyone. Huge surprise for me. 9. Speed Monster, Tusenfryd. --> Very awesome coaster, that is the perfect combination of twist, airtime, loops and a kick-ass launch. 10. Lisebergsbanan, Liseberg. --> Best Schwarzkopf in the world. A shout out to Krake and Black Mamba, who didn't make the cut, but are still amazing coasters.
  16. Season is over! The 9 open days for Halloween reached record attendance with 65.000 guests. All in all the park received 752.183 in 2013. thats up with 21% since last year, and the previous record was in 2011 with 662.500 guests. So, in other words, thank you Juvelen for making my rather boring coaster year totally awesome for a day, and for the record attendance to the park.
  17. Awesome I'm surprised how high the supports for the corkscrew after the launch is. I don't know why, but for some reason I thought it would be low to the ground. Good question! I wonder if it really adds that much strength though. Usually around 0 degrees, with not to much snow. There are of course some winters who is worse than others.
  18. Absolutely! Hopefully I don't spoil this new version by having to high hopes.
  19. Yeah, but the old models are crap. This improved version looks like a really solid good ride.
  20. POV! Well it's not from this coaster, but the sister in China. It looks damn awesome, and I suspect that this might be a future big seller for Intamin. Btw, notice the extremely ugly work they have done with the footers!
  21. Found some more pictures! I just can't get over how cool this slide is looking. Source
  22. ^ That is correct. The park never released any more information about the accident.
  23. Oh hell yes!! Now I can finally ride the coaster I was to small for, at Gröna Lund in 1996! Hopefully "fully renovated" includes new Gerstlauer trains, like Hershey Park got for Sooperdooperlooper.
