  1. Exactly... it's a great ride and the most intense coaster in the park for sure (now... sigh) but it's relocated. Personally that doesn't bother me though.
  2. That fist picture ended up great with Intimidator on it's way down the drop too.
  3. Can someone please explain why they want this park to get a GCI but they can't even take care of Thunderhawk? It's a tiny little coaster with huge potential that's trimmed to death and still insanely rough. I'm just curious, because I feel like in a few years the GCI will be the same way.
  4. Haha sorry, fixed it. And personally I love Vekoma Flying Dutchmans... sorry haters.
  5. Edit: ^ Beat me to it. ^^No, but they're testing the floor today. [vine]https://vine.co/v/ez6tAXE9iha[/vine] And they posted a new picture of the station. Tony Clark's Twitter
  6. The Larson rides are hard to snap. I know it's possible but I'm never able to do much of anything with them.
  7. The line for the water coaster is pretty much the most Six Flags New England thing ever. Operations on that thing are mind-numbingly slow. I don't really think it's even the parks fault though, it just has terrible capacity. That being said though, I love the ride and it is worth doing once.
  8. No... it says "Coming in 2016...Divehawk 525: The world's tallest and fastest coaster. Upgrade to a Season Pass Today!" And then under that really small it says... "Divehawk 525 is a registered trademark of Cedar Fair LP. For more information please visit CedarPoint.com/Legal. For more information on Divehawk 525 please visit ThemeParkReview.com and search the forums for "Footers", "Inside Sources" or "MY GP FRIEND DIDN'T BELIEVE ME BUT WE'RE GETTING A DIVE COASTER NEXT SEASON !!!!!111111". Every word in the english language followed by "Hawk" is trademarked by Cedar Fair LP. All rights reserved, ride on."
  9. If you want to count it then feel free but I can't really justify that. Personally I just go with whatever RCDB says because it's easier that way and they don't consider this a new coaster.
  10. You can rent a car if you're under 25, you just pay a little more for it. See...look (I didn't shop around for price though, there may be a better one available). It's more than worth it though as it's only a 1 day rental and it's much more convenient.
  11. This is exciting, I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do. Sustainable Playland was a terrible idea, this is much better.
  12. Oh no! Not Stinger! It's incredibly disappointing that we won't be able to experience the sting of Dorney's newest and most thrilling coaster experience again this year . I'd ask for a source but even without one I think Stinger having massive amounts of downtime is a pretty safe bet.
  13. A Wingrider would be a perfect fit for this park. If you want hardcore intensity we already have one of the best wood coasters in the world, the world's tallest coaster and Batman which is an awesome example of 90's B&M snappiness. There's no shortage of intense coasters at the park and a wingrider would provide a different (and awesome) experience. Plus, we don't know anything about the parks future plans. We're just speculating.
  14. They have no clue what the weather will be that far in advance... I wouldn't be surprised if by next weekend they're calling for sun with a 10% chance of rain. If it's more than 3 days out don't bother... it will only stress you out, but relax in knowing that Carowinds runs everything in the rain anyway.
  15. Can't offer you any help on Quassy, but SFNE is seldom bad on weekdays. Just try to head to Bizarro or Wicked Cyclone ASAP; unless you're hitting the waterpark, however, you can easily hit everything of note within a few hours. As for Lake Compounce, Boulder Dash will have a line for the entire day, but again, you can generally do everything within a few hours. If you're into credits I'd actually head to Goliath first because it has terrible capacity and will break down multiple times throughout the day, sometimes in spectacular fashion so it's best to ride it when it's actually running. If you're not into credits don't ride Goliath at all because it's an awful ride now. My only Quassy advice is to ride Wooden Warrior in the very last row.
  16. The only thing I don't like about Raptor's appearance (minus the seagull sh*t) is the orange lights at night. I'd love for it to get some bright, white lights like Gatekeeper. I think that would make the midway look awesome.
  17. I'm guessing they've assembled the largest seagull sh*t removing task-force known to man and are finally beginning the multi-phase, multi-year project of removing all of it. ... or you know, track work / inspections.
  18. I don't see Bizarro going anywhere. I have no idea why this rumor won't die. lol
  19. I think the Green Lantern vs Scream Machine argument is totally based on body type / height. I'm 6,4 and for some reason I never find Arrow's rough anymore (except Vortex, Vortex just manages to completely break the suck barrier since Arrow decided to try their hand at building a wild mouse after the loops and before the MCBR). Usually though being tall is a big help with those and it's also a major problem with Green Lantern as it kind of forces you to slouch a little and that puts you in a strange position and makes for a really uncomfortable ride. When I was a kid / a young teen I loved standups and hated Arrow loopers (for the most part) and now it's the opposite so I think height plays a big role with both ride types.
  20. I agree with this completely. Steel Force is one of the dullest hypers anywhere though if you ride it in the front seat it does become a very good ride, Talon is the best of the bunch and it's great but it's a middle of the road invert, floorless coasters in general never blow anyone away but Hydra is on the lower end of the spectrum. Hydra is kind of a shame as it's an extremely rare example of B&M completely breaking the mold and building a unique layout. It has a straight drop, it starts out with a turnaround after the drop and not an inversion, it has the jojo roll, has no vertical loop or dive loop and the first 3 inversions are barrel roll style inversions. It's cool and it's a good ride but it's not amazing. Posessed is great but it's still an impulse coaster, Thunderhawk has the potential to be amazing with it's random moments of OMFG ejector airtime in the front car but it's over-trimmed and rough as hell and Stinger sucks. The closest thing they have to a forceful coaster is unfortunately Posessed now that Laser is gone, all of Dorney's coasters are fun but they need a stand out ride. I think one major addition could really change the perception of their coaster lineup but I don't see them making the investment in a star coaster to watch it be a walk on all the time and send half empty trains all day which it would probably do at Dorney where family rides and the waterpark seem to be the major draws. Luckily a park isn't all about coasters and the park is very well maintained, has a nice flat ride collection, has a very good waterpark and has 2 star non-coaster stand out attractions with Demon Drop and Thunder Creek Mountain. Oh... and Chickie and Pete's.
  21. They look exactly the same as the old ones so I'm sure it's no better. I know I won't be riding it to find out.
  22. I'm almost positive that those rides haven't been on Fastlane the last few years either (they may never have been on it). With all of them I feel like the station setup is the reason, with all of them it would be a massive pain to build Fastlane ramps, plus the rides aren't all that popular.
  23. Okay, everyone get ready to act surprised. You ready? You ready? Okay... here goes... Guess what's not even close to being ready to start the season and doesn't even have a train fully assembled yet? (From Twitter)
