  1. Sounds like it's only temporary. Edit: Beat me to it.
  2. Of the 3 I've ridden I'd rank them in this order, 1) Millennium Force 2) Fury 325 3) Intimidator 305 All 3 are amazing and out of about 250 coasters they're all in my top 10 so it's hard to say anything bad about any of them but I prefer Millennium Force as the speed is relentless, there are no trims anywhere and it has lap bars so you can throw your hands up. Unlike the other two coasters it's not in an open field so flying through tunnels and near buildings and trees only enhance that feeling of speed. Contrary to popular belief the ride does offer a good amount of airtime also and pulls some awesome g forces on the pullout of the drop and into the first turn. Fury blew me away also but it does have one or 2 moments where it gives you a breather (like the helix) which you don't get at all on the other 2. This ride is relentless all the way to the turnaround though and offers more airtime than the other 2 coasters in my opinion. I put Intimidator last because of the restraints. I'm NOT complaining about the restraints and the fact that it feels like a much shorter ride time, there's nothing wrong with them, they're not painful... like I said it's a top 10 ride for me. On a giga coaster I'd rather put my hands up though and enjoy the speed and airtime and the other 2 are much better for that. I LOVE I305 though. I don't want to nitpick but when comparing 3 elite rides you kind of have to in order to pick a favorite.
  3. That depends on the minimum temperature / wild chill they'd run Batman and Nitro during Holiday in the Park.
  4. You could "manufacture" your own comfortable train for Magnum by tightening the seatbelt as much as possible when you ride it. Ever since I learned that trick I've always had pain free rides.
  5. ^^Kings Dominion is my favorite park for Fastlane, with the exception of Volcano every single ride puts you directly in the station and the most you ever wait for anything is 5 minutes regardless of the crowds. The merge points always seem to be right in the station.
  6. ^I miss the awful Demon Drop rap song, they need to bring that back.
  7. Mantis was the worst coaster in the park, I'd put Rougarou in the top 5. It was a great decision and it's the most forceful floorless coaster I've ever ridden.
  8. To be fair Great Adventure fills the lot completely and then uses the Hurricane Harbor lot as overflow on just about every Fright Fest Saturday. The only part of the lot they don't fill is the preferred lot. They never come close to filling the preferred lot.
  9. You took the words right out of my mouth. This is the first time I think I've ever complained about something a park wanted to do because of tree removal but this is completely ridiculous, even if they plant new trees elsewhere.
  10. When I rode it on Sunday it was a little bumpy but nothing that took away from the ride. I just figured it was supposed to be like that as the euro fighters are generally the same way (though again, not enough to take away from the ride experience).
  11. The new BBQ place is open and it's very good. I agree that besides Chickie and Pete's the food was terrible at Dorney so I'm glad they have something else to offer now. I was very impressed. Since you're going on a Saturday in the summer I would expect enormous crowds (by Dorney's standards) so don't be surprised if wait times for the coasters reach as long as 2 or maybe even 3 minutes.
  12. While the concept art doesn't reveal much of anything and while it does look amazing I have to admit I thought of exactly the same thing. It does seem to be built around the same mountain centerpiece concept.
  13. There's no perfect solution here. Universal's policy works better than most but at the same time it's a shame for people who aren't idiots and want to have their phone with them while standing in lines that can exceed an hour. At Cedar point we saw a ton of people playing games on their phones with their friends while in line (I don't know the game, basically you hold the phone up to your head and try to guess a word). Now people who just want to use it in line and then put it away (which describes the vast majority of people) have to suffer because of the people who take selfies while on a ride. People suck.
  14. Great pictures so far, damn you make my trip reports look terrible. lol I need to get to Kennywood soon. Screw Corkscrew... check out the Sky Ride in the background, and it's animated no less!. lol
  15. The 7 car train was the first thing I noticed also. Obviously it won't impact the ride in any way, shape or form but it's certainly interesting.
  16. I'm going with any Zipper, the Knoebels Flyers or the Knoebels Scooters.
  17. The theming looks great. This is going to come off the wrong way but Six Flags is very good at theming things to look like crap on purpose. Any time they go with a theme of something being destroyed (like Apocalypse at SFA) and now the post-storm damage theming at Wicked Cyclone it usually looks pretty good. I can't wait to ride this.
  18. I agree, I've always liked Blue Streak but I think we enjoyed our rides on it this year even more than normal. It's a great ride.
  19. With just about any coaster I go out of my way to avoid wheel seats when given the chance. Even the smoothest wood coasters can be a little rougher in those seats (even El Toro). Blue Streak is no exception. Off the top of my head the only exception I can think of is Phoenix which seems to run perfectly in every single seat.
