  1. They didn't spend half the year fixing a waterfall so it could run for 2 weeks and then be demolished forever and then contract Oak Island to build a gigantic Christmas light net to drape over the ride, requiring a bunch of new support structures to be added along the top of the building so they could demolish the ride a few weeks later the year after they added a Holiday event where they desperately needed indoor family rides. Not sure what you people are smoking but I want some. (I understand very few people actually think it's Skull Mountain but it's not even worth entertaining as a possibility).
  2. Let's go old school... Dodgem 2 at Cedar Point. It was replaced by Dragster but the fact that Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 would have automatically named a ride Dodgem 2 in the rare event that you were so lazy that you built two of the same rides and forgot to name both of them really speaks volumes about be quality of the name.
  3. If Ryan says something then it's true. He works at the park and he knows what he's talking about.
  4. He never said it was a ride, but if it is the only ones that really seem like a possibility are Twister because it's a maintenance nightmare and they might be done cannibalizing the SFNE ride for parts, Blackbeard and Jolly Roger (doubt it but maybe if they make Panda Express a Chop Six they'll expand it and this ride really, really sucks). I don't see it being Houdini, it's popular, it was a big hit at HITP and they have one at SFNE that nobody rides that they could use for parts if they ever wanted to so that would close long before this one. If it is a ride, it's probably Houdini or Twister. If it's not it's probably the Batman Stunt Theater thing. As far as Twister though it's got to be a matter of time. That thing is easily the most unreliable ride in the park... Kingda Ka could only dream of being such an unreliable piece of crap. It's pretty much always broken. If you ever see it open it's a minor miracle. And for you Skull Mountain people... lol what? Why would they fix the waterfall so it could run for 2 weekends, then spend a ton of time making a Christmas light net to cover it and then close it forever... especially when it's the second most popular coaster in the park and is completely weather proof and now they do a Holiday event.
  5. Wait... a net made you less interested in a 223 foot dive coaster? That was the thing that just did it for you? A net?
  6. Oh okay good because I thought we'd hit a new low, lol.
  7. ^^ Wait so now people who are excited about the coaster need to stop being excited and enthusiastic so that the people that whine about everything don't see there enthusiasm as an excuse to whine more? Sorry but screw that.
  8. Wait this park is seriously teasing a 2017 coaster earlier than basically everyone else after they waited until Tempesto was done before announcing it? Are they bipolar? Wait... maybe that's a clue! Bi-polar... Polar... ... Polercoaster!
  9. Everything should be open but Joker will quite possibly not be ready yet. I've never once been to the park where Toro was closed except the day it valleyed due to high winds and 40 degree temps. That won't be an issue in June though.
  10. Luckily that's rare because when Magnum comes to a stop on those brakes it comes to a ridiculously abrupt screeching halt. With the new locker policy and the great ops though it's rarely a problem.
  11. Nostradamus, John Edwards and that Long Island medium woman have nothing on me, nothing.
  12. No, that would be the other Arrow in your avatar. It's gone back to 3 trains though. I would think BigDipper 80 is probably right, and the appeal of using the other train as a parts train may have played a factor too.
  13. Probably because you rode it in a wheel seat. It's an Arrow, don't do that lol. Ride it in the middle row of any car. It'll be a great ride. And yeah Iron Dragon is insanely popular. That ride crushes it every single year when the ridership numbers come out and it always has a full (though admittedly short) queue that's usually spilling out the entrance. I like it, I hope they never remove it.
  14. I love what they're doing with Revolution. I'm really excited to get back there and ride it in a few years.
  15. The good news is that anyone who preferred the old color scheme needs only to wait a year or two before it finds it's way back to the Joker cars. Let's be serious we all know damn well why they chose those colors, lol. As I said though I don't care about the name or color.
  16. Nooooo, it just means that you're part of a really awesome bigger picture that just hasn't come together yet!
  17. I'm starting to wonder if people know what a sunset is.
  18. Twister didn't seem to need retracking since it was already running flawlessly... But Knoebels. God I love them (not sure if you guys knew)
  19. Boldikus... He loves the mediocre rides so we don't have to
  20. I couldn't possibly care less but I'm sure this will piss everyone off for some reason.
  21. Only a dusting but here are some pictures from 2014 at Great Adventure on a snow day in early spring. Great Adventure History.
  22. You're on the right track with this as you do need a card on file but that's just a security to hold the reservation / security. Once you arrive at the hotel to check in you can choose to use the card on file, use a different card or in many cases pay cash but you still need a card so they can put a hold on it. They refund that when you check out and leave the room in good condition. You can use a debit card if it can cover the hold but most people opt to use a credit card as putting a hold on a debit card is a major pain unless you have a high balance. 99% of time time though you just pay with the card on file.
  23. Non enthusiasts aren't stupid. Go find me one person, enthusiast or not who thinks El Diablo is the best ride at Great Adventure. I'll wait lol. I would guarantee that if you asked people what their favorite ride is at that park, 90% of people would give you one of the same 4 answers... El Toro, Nitro, Kingda Ka or Safari Off Road Adventure. Nobody would ever say El Diablo... Nobody.
