DC to BGW, and KD?!
coasterbill replied to DoinItForTheFame's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Lol the funny thing is that the one I found for $88 bucks is actually located at the airport (or they're pretending they are and they have a shuttle but either way it's not a big difference). Your advice might allow him to find something even cheaper. I seriously have no idea where he got that price. Sure my price is for an economy car but if you were willing to take a taxi to Williamsburg I'm sure you're not going to be against an economy car. -

Dude... where the hell are you looking for Rental cars? Here. I just picked a random Thursday to Sunday at Dulles Intl. 88 Bucks total... if you have an EZ Pass just bring it and hold it up to the windshield when you go through tolls, if not add it on with the rental company. Done. -

How can it possibly be worse than its namesake at GAdv? I agree that Green Lantern at Great Adventure is horrendous, and it's easily the worst B&M out there. That being said it has NOTHING on Green Lantern at Magic Mountain. I don't know my exact coaster count, it's somewhere around 300 but I can say with no hesitation whatsoever that this thing is the worst coaster I've ridden that's still in operation. To call this a piece of sh** coaster would be an insult to all other piece of sh** coasters because they don't deserve to be compared to this torture device. F** Green Lantern.

You're 100% right, but even 8,9,10 year old kids enjoy coasters. I'm not asking for the entire park but just adding Flight Deck would make this much more appealing for older kids, plus B&M inverts can absolutely haul in cold weather (Batman at Great Adventure tried to kill us during Holiday in the Park, lol) Having 1 coaster open is a bit underwhelming. I agree with you 100% about the demographics changing for Holiday events but a second coaster makes this much more appealing... not just for thrill seekers, but for families with older kids.

Lake Compounce Discussion Thread
coasterbill replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I can't wait to go back to Lake Compounce. The only question is do we wait for Halloween since they do the best haunt in the region, or do we go in summer so we can ride the awesome chairlift? Decisions, decisions... -
I don't want to be that guy, I'm never that guy, I hate that guy but something about this doesn't feel right to me. I can't believe I'm saying this but no... I don't think you should be able to cut down a forest and wetlands that are essential to the ecosystem to put in solar panels. These wetlands are important. So much so that you promised the state to keep a portion of the safari in it's natural state and on every truck that goes through that portion of the safari you pat yourselves on the back for it and talk about the importance of the wetlands. I agree with the opinions of many of the people who are against this, if they want solar panels so bad they should put them over the parking lot. I'd love for the township to help them out with tax breaks so then they can both pat themselves on the back over how "green" they are but I'm not a fan of the current plan.

Funland also has a tremendous old-school Haunted Mansion. The park as a whole is really nice. Everything is in immaculate shape all the time and prices are incredibly reasonable. It's a family run business and it really shows. It's like night and day when compared to the parks an hour south in Ocean City.

Same here. I pull up to the drive through and don't even have to order. They know what I want as soon as they see the car. Hazelnut with cream and sugar. I swear by Dunkin Donuts (unless there's a Tim Horton's around of course, then I'll jump ship in a heartbeat.
