  1. It sounds like they'll be charging and cleaning them simultaneously. Guests will be given them before they board, they won't be permanently on the train. They said they're working on the details.
  2. Apparently this technology will make assigned seating necessary on Superman at Six Flags New England. I really hope we never get this as I assume that will be the policy across the board with VR coasters at Six Flags parks.
  3. Most likely we'll visit Six Flags New England once this year before they put the VR in place in June and then just visit other parks until they stop doing it. It's for a limited time so eventually it'll probably go back to normal.
  4. Six Flags New England did a live chat with the fans tonight and here are some highlights... - Superman the ride will be open on April 9th (opening day) without VR - Fireball will be open May 14th - They will continue to use that "Incredible" terrible Goliath Train without any modifications but they have recieved tons of feedback (ie complaints) and are "always exploring ways to improve their rides". She said this with a straight face. lol - Obviously Holiday in the Park has not been considered. Makes sense given the weather... - Here's a picture of the Superman headrests - Superman will not have new restraints - Some moron asked if Six Flags has been in contact with Mack for a new ride. Obviously they didn't answer this question. - VR headsets have an antimicrobial fabric and will be wiped down after each ride - headsets have a safety lanyard if you want to take them off during the ride And I hope you're sitting down... - As part of this park's continuing effort to suck on a very high level... for the first time ever Superman WILL NOW HAVE ASSIGNED SEATING. The ONLY COASTER in the park where you can choose your seat will now be Mind Eraser (LOL). It sounds like this will only be an option until this VR thing is over and thankfully this is for a limited time only. She never said that this policy wasn't permanent, that's just me trying to be optimistic.
  5. I thought Vortex, Leviathan and Behemoth were the best rides in the park by an enormous margin. The other coasters are a major step down (though most are still lots of fun). Time Warp, Flight Deck and Minebuster are truly horrendous rides though. Some of the worst coasters I've ever had the misfortune of riding. As some have said the park has a great collection of flat rides, check them out of you can.
  6. Everything looks great! Thanks for the update. ... well except the Starbucks. That looks awful. It should be a Dunkin Donuts.
  7. What if in the headset they show you a video of the B&M hyper coaster that should be at the park instead of Ninja... maybe that'll work.
  8. Ninja????? Lol wow that sounds truly terrible.
  9. Since it's optional I don't see how anyone could really take issue with it as long as it doesn't slow down operations too much. Personally I don't care. If try it on a smaller coaster but if I'm 200 feet in the at and racing through tunnels and by buildings I want to experience all that. To each his own though, it's optional and it's free so good for Six Flags. I don't really know why it's free though. I would charge for it if I were them, I think the up charge would be completely justified and I think people would be willing to pay for it.
  10. Delgrossos gets very crowded. Lakemont is always empty because it's terrible.
  11. That's probably what i would do. Cheetah Hunt, Montu, Sky Ride then hit up the back of the park before anyone gets back there.
  12. I drive a Honda Fit. I bought it new 2 1/2 years ago and it now has 115,000 miles on it because we travel all the time. It's nothing amazing but I like it. I'll probably buy another one when this one dies. I don't name my car and I don't really have any good stories with it, sorry. Lol
  13. I have to admit, I always thought it was an Arrow. I learned something new today. That ride screams Arrow to me. I know the coaster types are similar but that seems like a very Arrow-style layout.
  14. The first thing you should do is go here and see the scheduled ride closures. Since the park is open 365 days a year, sometimes they need to schedule extended downtime to maintain the rides. We always plan around that. For example... don't go to the park May 2 - 6 when Sheikra is closed or ESPECIALLY September 6 - 16 when Kumba (probably the best ride in the park) is closed. Locals can tell you about crowd levels but start on that page and make sure none of the coasters are scheduled to be down when you want to visit.
  15. Unless you have multiple days I highly suggest a Platinum Flash Pass for this park. It's an expense but it's a necessary expense.
  16. My biggest advice in all honesty is not to base anything off of POV's. You can find some trip reports on the site where people give their opinions of the coasters but in most cases you'll be able to ride then all and form your own opinions. At some parks I do suggest a skip the line pass and I suggest cutting out the flight from the Midwest to the northeast. Just drive... and the drive takes you through Niagara Falls which is always a great time. It also takes you right near smaller parks that might be worth a stop like Martin's Fantasy Island and Darien Lake (former home of the infamous, world-famous Cuda Falls I'm told). And once again ride the Beast at night. It's one of the most famous coasters in the world and night rides on it are legendary. And I can't stress this enough but add Knoebels and axe Dorney.
  17. Lol why would anyone report those posts? Also okay I'll bite I guess but why would you fly from Canada's Wonderland to Six Flags New Englad. That's a shorter drive than a lot of the drives you'll be making. On second thought wait you're going to Dorney and not Knoebels? Lol in that case maybe your POV observations are on-point since you enjoy riding mediocre coasters over amazing ones. In all seriousness you can see why this looks like spam rather than just posting about it in a thread dedicated to one trip.
  18. Oh come on... we all know Camera 1 and camera 2 can't face Mean Streak. Only Camera 3 can do that. ... oh we didn't all know that? Well I feel like a nerd-ass. lol #ispendwaytoomuchtimewatchingthesewebcams
  19. The more I think about this, just because your posting the same thing in every thread and annoying everyone that's a great idea. Magnum, row 3... seatbelt as loose as ops allow. Also ride Mean Streak in the back. Also Pro Tip: Get on line for Raptor, Valravn and Gatekeeper first thing in the morning. Enjoy your day at America's rockin roller coast! Ride on. Choo Choo. Ole'. Race for the Sky.
  20. I don't even believe this trip is real. He's posting this in every thread for parks that are nowhere near eachother.
