How dare you bad mouth Stingers autospiel! That was the greatest ride speech in history. Shame it's gone now. They got rid of it? We only rode it once last year @ Coasting 4 Kids and it was on then. And to the poster above asking about park strategy on Thurs/Fri in June - Coasterbill and Strz nailed it basically. If its busy with school kids, they are all going to be trying to ride Joker, Ka, and Superman. If you want to hit the must-dos go Ka (though if its not running or they are taking forever to get it going, skip and come back after the school buses leave (5pm usually), Zumi, El Toro, Bizarro, Mine Train, Skyride over to Nitro, Batman and Skull Mountain. I'd save Joker and Superman (and Ka if its being cranky in the morning) if you want to ride those for evening, after the buses leave. And I'm not sure I wanna live in a world where Bill is not suggesting the Log Flume in a post on how to do the park. What the hell is going on? Oh believe me, when I visit a park I always make the flume a priority. I just know that most people have terrible taste and won't listen to me anyway. Lol I can't help people that won't help themselves.

Well, if it has a launched lift hill.... -
^Yeah I basically agree with this, my strategy would definitely be Kingda Ka, Zumanjaro, El Toro, Bizarro, Runaway Mine Train if it's a walk on (and it might be at that point which is the only reason I'm bringing it up), Skyway to Batman, Nitro and Skull Mountain then whatever you want. Of note: Safari Off Road Adventure is a truly remarkable attraction. It's a very unique experience for a Six Flags park and we absolutely love it. That being said, it's a major time commitment. Counting the line I would budget about 2 hours for it if you want to do it. I'm not sure what your approach to parks is. If you're all about credits then do what I suggested before but take out Zumanjaro. If you just want to hit major thrill rides then do what I suggested. If you want to ride the best the park has to offer and don't mind skipping a credit or two, make time for Safari Off Road Adventure. Seriously... Also, if you have to pick one coaster to skip it should be Green Lantern. It's a terrible ride.

Cedar Fair: Millennium Force Six Flags: El Toro SeaWorld Entertainment: Kumba Herschend: Mystery Mine (I have not ridden Outlaw Run or Lightning Rod though few people have lol) Universal: Incredible Hulk Disney Parks: Space Mountain (WDW) Fun Spot (lol I guess technically it counts and I have ridden all adult coasters "in the chain") White Lightning Independent: Phoenix, and anyone that didn't say Phoenix is wrong

I would really love to see this happen, but I doubt they are touching that ride anytime soon beside paint, if they even do that. My first thought was "where would the transfer track go?", but my second thought was "wait, this whole thing is stupid. My first thought is already thinking way too far into this." Now I'm stuck on that second thought.

Only a few years and the ride already sucks. Wow I hope that issue is addressed by B&M. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

It's a roller coaster at Cedar Point.... There are really bright lights around the ride (at night)... There is going to be bugs. This. Bugs are unavoidable, and the more spotlights on the ride the more there will be (see: Gatekeeper where every night ride feels like you're riding in the rain). -
I actually like Vortex at Carowinds but I hate every other standup I've ridden (Cobra, Shockwave, Riddler, Green Lantern, Mantis and Apocalypse). I'd be interested to ride Scorcher because of it's positive reviews but generally speaking regardless of reviews I almost always hate standup coasters. Riddler had good reviews and I thought someone should really kill it with fire.

Wicked Cyclone is amazing, people just like to bitch incessantly about everything. The people complaining about Wicked Cyclone vibrating are the same ones that thing Gatekeeper has death vests and Valravn rattles. We rode is this season and last year during fright fest at the height of the "vibrating" and noticed no difference and thought it was awesome both times. The only reason I'd be hesitant to visit in July is because of VR on Superman. After seeing the horrific dispatch times in action at La Ronde we've decided to avoid SFNE for the rest of the season as imagining that (adjusting, readjusting, "mine isn't calibrating", "how do you put this thing on?" , "do you see the gun... no, okay get them another headset". "is this thing on right?") combined with the already atrocious dispatch times seems like the worst thing ever. I guess with a Flash Pass it's okay though, plus it's sort of cool to try once so if you want to spend the extra money it might be worth going then.

I don't know, between Safari Off Road Adventure, the world's tallest drop tower and the most awesome addition in all the years I've been going to the park since the late 90's... Holiday in the Park, I think they've had tons of huge additions lately. Edit: And yeah I know someone's about to remind me about El Toro as if I forgot. I still say Holiday in the Park is the best addition since the late 90's. Suck on that.

Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread
coasterbill replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Only if you are staying overnight and doing BGW the next day. BGW is worth the 7hr drive. KD is not (by itself) I don't agree with this. Sure it would be awesome to do both and I do recommend it but KD is a very solid park on it's own. -

This isn't even slightly true, with the teasing and all the clearing, it's most likely that they are going to be getting a coaster next year regardless of how many years ago Banshee was added Sure, but it would be the worst decision made by cedar fair, or kings island. All of this deep financial business insight from a 15 year old. Trust him, guys. He knows what he's talking about. I wish I had that much confidence about my ignorance when I was 15. -

Of course they would. I'm not saying it's what they're doing but they absolutely, absolutely would go that far. Lol read Coasterkyle's post. I remember that well. Also, they painted an old Maverick harness yellow and put it on a Millennium Force train a few months ago for Winter Chill Out. -

The hilarity of the joke is that in order to scope it out you have to ride Mean Streak. Hope you were taking notes on riding position. Lol -

I'm very skeptical of that picture since it shows absolutely nothing around it whatsoever. I don't know if it's because I've seen constant B.S. RMC rumors posted or if it's because I love seeing people get disappointed by Mean Streak. It's nothing against you personally, I'm just skeptical.
