The only thing working in your favor is that there are park reservations now but the cap seems to be very high. The days of this... ... may be over but it's going to be slammed. Magic Kingdom is sold out on Halloween, I guess check the wait times that day to get an idea of what you can expect. That said, you may not want to wait that long to decide as Magic Kingdom is already sold out for Christmas day. My other bit of advice for making the trip more enjoyable is to not skip Animal Kingdom since it's the best park at WDW resort. Sorry, not sorry.

I haven't been since the latest round of clear-cutting but when we went last year when I walked into "Wildwood Grove" for the first time all I could think was "Wow, this looks like absolute shit". I honestly don't like most of what this park has done lately and find myself going there much less often. -

So wait… Lighting Rod is still closed? -

I've dumped on this park a TON this year but I feel like I'm living in an alternate reality where the park is open from 11 to Midnight on a Friday in mid-October and the only rides in the entire park that are closed are either down for mechanical reasons and seasonal rides minus Gemeni and Pipe Scream which may be mechanical and will probably open later. Aside from that, only the second unnecessary car ride is closed. I mean... Windseeker AND Sky Ride are open on Friday, October 15th. That's wild. Good job, Cedar Point. -

... that's just hilarious to me. They should have just re-named the park "Social Distancing Land", changed nothing, implemented no additional protocols and they would have been fine. Maybe they could have played a recording that said "Remember to social distance 1/4 mile between parties" and then everyone could laugh and say "Yeah... we were already doing that but thanks". -

Great update! Thanks for sharing. -
I really do want to know who was responsible for this decision making. ”Hey, we know that this card is probably going to be required for a lot of things. Should we make it wallet sized?” ”No. Make it really big and annoying” ”Okay. Then should we have a federal universal digital version then since we’ve known that this moment would be coming for a year “ ”No”

Accepted methods of proof are listed on the website. Honestly, I wouldn't read too far into this. Six Flags probably doesn't care. The person checking vaccine records at Six Flags isn't going to give a crap. I guarantee that they had no clue what Kstr737's's Excelsior pass was, had never seen one before and had no way whatsoever of scanning it to make sure it was valid. Any reasonable proof will be fine, but I'd probably just take a picture of my CDC card (though I guess I also have the Excelsior pass). Knowing them, an Instagram post you made of you getting the shot back in April is probably sufficient. They're just going to do the bare minimum.

The 2021 TPR Coaster Poll is coming soon!

I just happened to catch one as I was adding it to my list, "The Walking Dead - The Ride" at Thorpe Park is still listed as "X". Primeval Whirl can also be removed. -

I mean... I get it. Budget cuts... staffing shortages. It's not unexpected. It's a shame though. -

It normally runs until the end of haunt. That's a bummer. -

Honestly, if you only had a half-day you probably didn't have time to ride Dragon Mountain anyway. It's in the back of the park. -

The fun thing about Marineland is that I wouldn’t be shocked if they closed forever tomorrow and I also wouldn’t be shocked if they announced a hyper GTX tomorrow because it’s a park run by insane people. -
This is counterintuitive but I just tell everyone to look at the price of the annual pass. The cheapest one is fine for most people. There aren’t really many discounts on day-tickets and I find them to be very expensive, but in comparison the seasonal pass (while obviously more expensive) is a much easier pill to swallow. They generally pay for themselves in about 2 visits, often less.

I don't understand this argument. As far as most people are concerned, "The park is responsible" and "Someone who worked for the park is responsible" are the same statement. Trying to find a discernible difference between those two things seems like semantics and in the court of public opinion, nobody is going to care.

I've been on it three times. Two of them were some of the worst coaster rides that I've ever had in my life because they used to group on it and I got back row, outside seat both times. The last time I sat on the inside in the middle of the train and it was still rough but I could appreciate how weird and cool it was. It's not going to be "smooth" ever but it's easier to enjoy in a middle inside seat.
