  1. he wasn't mentioned (or shown). . but since they are naming a ride after him (it's a Nebulaz). . .and all other "named" rides have statues of the characters in front of them (even Kid Flash). . . I'd expect we'll get a statue, and a character meet opportunity. (pic from yesterday)

  2. I'm actually a fan of Looney Tunes and DC, and I like them more than Snoopy. Superheroes will never die.

  3. ^ I think the GL ride is not specific to WHICH GL. . . so that will count to cover all. (unless they slap a giant Hal Jordan on top - currently it's just the pole, so I'm assuming a big GL Logo symbol will go there)

  4. SFFT is currently spending a huge amount of $$ retheming the Kid's area into a huge expansion of the "DC Universe" including naming the new dueling racing coaster, Kid Flash. Repainting (awesomely, by the way, it looks AMAZING) zoom jets, into Green Lantern. And Skyscreamer into "Supergirl" and the new area will have the "Metropolis Railway" monorail. the DC characters are not going anywhere.

  5. Given that humans have evolved from inventing the wheel to watching the Kardashians in thousands of years while computers have gone within 100 years from simple addition to creating a new Van Gogh painting in about a minute lets us know who if winning in the game of evolution. When AI answered that they would only take the routine jobs from us; what will not be routine to something smarter and quicker than us in 95% of jobs within the next 5 to 15 years? AI could be nice to us but the programers created it to save money through productivity increases/layoffs.

  6. Thanks for the info. I still had not heard what that building was for. I agree on the lift hill. People were still having a blast on it. People still loved it. Guy I rode with had never been on it and loved it. I heard lots of people around the park talking about how good it was.

  7. Bingo. Just to compare the SoCal market... Disneyland 1yr max visits + parking/discounts: $1,649 Universal Studios 1yr max visits + parking/discounts: $629 Knott's Berry Farm 1yr max visits + parking/discounts: $375 Six Flags Magic Mountain 1yr max visits + parking/discounts: $99 There's no way the gate of a flagship park of a proud brand should be sold that cheaply. I'm sure people would be just fine paying a bit more if it meant dick moves like the surcharge aren't considered necessary. They may even be able to maintain their park and start paying people a decent wage too while they're at it.

  8. All of the letters I sent to B&M demanding that they bring back the tilted loop must have finally payed off. Tilted loops are so back baby.

  9. I didn't try to ride it (for the credit) back in Sept.2016 (WCBash) 'cause it was just - too - small for me. Go figure.

  10. Yes, it's the magic flyer. For a brief time, they built a wooden facade on either side of the tracks to give the illusion it looked like a mini Colossus.

  11. It certainly could be, looks like that was the only kiddie coaster in the late 70s and early 80s.

  12. Isn't this coaster currently the Magic Flyer https://rcdb.com/749.htm. This coaster has moved locations a few times and has had many rethemes.

  13. I'm pretty sure there used to be a mini-colossus kiddie coaster at the park. I seem to remember riding one when I was a kid in the early 80's, but I don't see it anywhere on RCDB.

  14. It appears to be your standard kiddie coaster with a faux wooden structure around it. Assuming to replicate a mini version of Colossus. You can get a better view of it at 3:16 and a few seconds before it.

  15. ^Anyone know what that ride buried in the trees at 1:37 is?

  16. I hope we get to see Dr. Diabolical without her mask. I assume she has a scar like Dr. Blight from Captain Planet.

  17. Here's a commercially-released video from 1990 showing old-school Magic Mountain... I used to love watching this as a kid. https://youtu.be/zeouf1KQLI4

  18. I'm also thinking the grandfathered memberships will be eliminated by the time the merger is fully complete. I'm wondering what tiers/expense the new merged memberships will be.

  19. Can't wait to ride this new beast! My only visit to the park was in 2003! A lot has changed since then. I wish they kept Hercules. I got to ride it several times the Sunday of the Labor Day weekend. The next day it was giving its last rides but no one knew.
