  1. Poseidon's Fury was one of those experiences that you can really only get at a theme park. I remember wandering into it on my first visit and being totally blown away, and the cheesy story line not even mattering. It was so grand, so unique, and so unexpected. As much as I love rides and coasters, I'm a firm believer that theme parks need to include these kind of alternative attractions to give guests a more complete experience.

  2. It puts that whole section of the park in a weird place though. Now there's no attractions in a pretty good sized chunk of land. At a stretch, the talking fountain? The speculation of the area being rethemed as a Legend of Zelda land is pretty neat and I'd love it, a lot of the existing stuff could be pretty much used as-is, but I dunno, I *like* that it's weird and its own thing; I like the shops you dont see in any other park (how many parks can you buy weapons at?!?), Mythos of course.

  3. At the park today and it is slammed with it being spring break and 90 degrees. Currently in line for Superman, it took a while for it to open, but I’m currently in one of the outer switchbacks. Very crowded. Every so often Supergirl is making this weird, loud squeaking noise. Everyone’s heads snap towards it when it happens, it’s kinda funny. For those who have been saying Wicked Cyclone has been running fast have not been lying. The park probably has their cold weather wheels on, since the weather is supposed to get more seasonable later next week. But geez, that third lap is FAST. The airtime actually hurt. Gonna do a few more rides then head home. TLDR: it’s crowded, hot, and Wicked Cyclone is running super fast!

  4. Honestly, I was surprised it was still there on my last visit (December 2022). I much preferred the first version, though it admittedly made no sense story-wise. Really cool to have such an elaborate walk-through exist in the park, but the inside never really lived up to the outside.

  5. My workplace is doing renovations. One of my coworkers is on vacation in Mexico. While she's gone, we built a wall.

  6. Actually, no, the country is pretty but after a couple days boring as hell However, it is a shame that the new teen fight club/outrageous behavior to get on social media trend seems to be such an issue everywhere. They are now instituting a chaperone policy for kids under 15 after 4 pm, it's on their web site. Not sure how enforceable this will be but better than doing nothing I guess. To have any chance of working they will have to make some examples if they catch troublesome kids whose over 21's have left them by banning all parties from the park.

  7. B&M giving us variety! It's always a good day when it happens... which isn't much. Looks like a tester/test track more than a big B&M, but good for them! They can do anything. Except laterals haha Not fun in bucket seats anyway.

  8. Yeah when we were there a few years ago that made absolutely no sense to me, just move up one flight of stairs to the top floor and group from there, where you can actually see the station and the train. Several time train went out with empty seats because the grouper 1 floor down had no idea they hadn't sent enough people up to fill a train, it made no sense at all.

  9. Why can't it be both? Especially when for some it's the only park that is drivable under a 2hr radius, so why can't the general enthusiast also support the park? I mean you don't have to look very far to look at the average weight increase with time, it is a well known fact that this has gone up since the rides conception and build in the 1990's. You can't tell me that when they looked at the restraints that they they didn't have a "average" in mind. Batman being one of the early invert designs fits in this category, and like you said Banshee was built in a different era of body types with wider trains and probably more forgiving vest restraints. Now I'm not saying the park goes out of its way to just tear out and put back in new restraints cause in reality we know the real cost of that, but for an enthusiast one can dream right? It would be nice if they logistically could, but that is also like saying why don't they just rip out Batman and put in a hyper invert with that money instead. Or even how everyone complains about Ninja when it's still a serviceable ride, you think by now after everyone complaining about it's restraints that they would do something but again more money vs completely installing a different ride. I get it man, I really do. And again I completely agree. Like you said we are here to discuss, but why do we have to be so serious about it sometimes? It's not like anything we say here matters to the overall park. What they spend their money on, again is totally up to them. Still I'm going to be supportive of a park that doesn't normally get much. One day I hope we get that dream coaster or even flat that every other park has, but for now our park is beautifully maintained for a Six Flags park and honestly we could have much worse or nothing at all in our area.
