  3. If it helps anyone get through the long cold weekend..................employees are currently doing their orientation classes for the season and will start training very soon. We were supposed to be going to Texas this weekend to hit the parks down there but this stupid weather is even making it as far south as San Antonio so we pushed it back a week. Stay warm everyone!!

  5. I've had great luck calling Busch / SeaWorld. Knowing them, they'll totally move it. The people who work the phones are honestly the best employees at the entire company.

  7. Thanks for the confirmation that I made the right decision. Today was day #6 of an anticipated 13 days in a row below freezing for us. When you guys are in the teens on Sunday we are supposed to have below 0 temps. I swear if the long forecast holds and it is in the 60's when we get there weekend after next I may be putting on my swimsuit and looking for a pool

  8. Holy Jesus. Something in the water up here.... Now that I think about it, Disney could go for a two park resort, Fantasy Island is available and less than 15 min away. Just saying.

  9. This. This. THIS! The filters are absolutely fantastic. Not just saying how many people, how many bags you need to add to the costs for each individual airline (in my case frontier may not be your best deal, not just because of the bag, but also if the plane arrives in the middle of the day it's pretty much worthless to me), but using a little slider bar with times you want flights to arrive (great for planning amusement parks without blowing another night of hotels), number of stops, the 'price graph' where you can put in how many days you need your trip to be but find the best days for the price, the most your willing to pay and then you can track the prices of all potential flights in a filter OR an exact flight itinerary if all the things match in your favor, along with alerts in addition to all that. It will tell you if you are paying average, below average, etc. The only thing you have to do is check Southwest separate as they are not part of the aggregate sites. If you need (2 free) checked bags they will be a good deal. There is a slight learning curve but once you know what you're doing it's awesome.

  10. My sample size is smaller with about 6 rides over 2 days in 2020, but I would say relative to how it used to run, it's quite rough. My two friends who had never ridden a topper track RMC (only I-Box) were surprised at how bumpy it was in the back row. And no, I'm not confusing roughness with intensity. There are many noticeable potholes, shuffling, and a few jackhammer-ish spots. It's aging considerably differently than the I-Box coasters. With that being said, it's probably still the 2nd best night ride anywhere.

  11. I also think new enthusiasts confuse intense with rough

  12. Wow. It is hilarious that Six Flags America is opening a whole month early, and BGW is now year-round, and Kings Dominion isn't opening until MAY? I think I'll join Coasterbill in laughing at Cedar Fair.

  13. I was actually at the park 2 days after John passed. Several old employees were saying that John was a good man and boss to work for and that he loved his park so much. I was told that they had been getting offers from Sea World and Disney to purchase the park. But the park just isn't for sale.
