This just showed up on the Phantasialand thread...

This is BIG . And delicious. And wild . The Big Beef Raclette is a taste sensation with spicy raclette cheese , 100 % Simmental beef , mild Cheese Taler and potato pepper sticks for that extra crunch . Inspired by Christian Henze , the cooking of the Wild Kitchen 4 !

I think I'm read to burst - literally.

We have been using these Groupon deals at FatBurger, and unfortunately
I believe I bought one or two too many of them. The deal saved you nearly $10
on a two burger & fries (no drink incl.). Mine saves me about $6. Great deals...

<burp>

One more to go, have to do it this weekend, and it's a single w/fries.
And then, no more FatBurgers (or ANY burgers I'd say) for a month (or more).

<but-they-were-awesomely-good! And I am buying the t-shirt!>

Philrad71 recently posted these two deee-licious shots of a burger he recently had...

I went completely different with the Poblano Goat Cheese Burger - which is a beer burger (cooked the way you like) topped with beer braised mushrooms, goat cheese and poblano peppers. Throw in some fresh-cut fries covered in vinegar and a Stainless Steel Obsession draft IPA and you have yourself one tasty (if not completely filling) meal!

POBLANO = The poblano (Capsicum annuum) is a mild chili pepper originating in the state of Puebla, Mexico. Dried, it is called ancho or chile ancho, from the Mexican Spanish name ancho ("wide") or chile ancho ("wide chile"). Stuffed fresh and roasted it is popular in chile rellenos poblanos.

And Phil? THIS would fill me up quite...nicely. (o;

The fries look nice and crisp, too.

They were both delicious, Bill!

And no....I couldn't finish the meal, despite its delicious-ness. I was close, but in this instance....food won.

^ That just happened to us, when we took on steak dinners (and David
added grilled prawns) at our fave Italian pizza restaurant last week!
They gave us a HUGE amount of food, before and during the main
course! It was awesome. And we had to "doggy bag" it home too, heh.

Worth it, to make a nice HUGE steak sandwich, later on. ;)

I just found this mentioned in the Holiday World thread.

Seems HW are coming out with a new kind of burger this season.

But it's not new. From the response in the thread, there are a number of
places around the USA (and probably beyond) who have featured this burger.

No matter. Worth trying once, I guess. :)

Behold ~ The Peanut Butter Burger!

And they got honey on it as well! Yum? You can barely make out the burger, poking out of the left side, there.

^ Peanut butter on burgers must be a semi-popular thing in Indiana, Bill...that is where we had our first one at the XXX diner somewhere in Indiana.

The restaurant and burger was featured on DD&D, but I didn't think that it was anything to write home about. It was just...okay.

Loved the old school vibe of the restaurant though...and it looks like Halloween! lol

^ Well Phil, I guess I am willing to make my own personal Peanut Butter Burger... in a day or so, heh.

And I am going to use this great (what's called a) Portuguese bun
I found at a local bakery on our main street close by (called The Drive
if ever anybody visits this way).

They're great for toasting, and cold for sandwiches as well as burgers. And
they come quite cheap - about 40 cents a bun! I'm sold! :wink:

^ Bill - the rolls look great!

I am going to grill Wegmans (our local supermarket) bacon and cheese burgers tonight on Pepperidge Farms toasted onion buns. I may also throw a slab of our smoked cheese on there just for good measure!

I will try to remember to take a photo...if I don't gobble it all down first! :lover:
