ECZenith
Is Noah's Ark the one that has the dark ride/water slide hybrid with animatronics? Being a waterslide fan, I can't believe how many awesome looking funnel slides there are in that area! The enclosed Proslide funnels are awesome, I wish we had an indoor waterpark in New England, but I bet one is on the way. Sorry for being such a geek... but what's the name of the Teal/Yellow striped body slides at Chula Vista? I may actually have to head out there, I've yet to go on a "toilet bowl" type funnel slide, just Tornado at SFNE which seems less intense. Thanks for providing os many great photos of waterparks, what a great idea for a trip!
kenshinmac
Is Noah's Ark the one that has the dark ride/water slide hybrid with animatronics?Nope that's Hyland Hills WaterWorld here in Colorado. It is the ONLY waterpark I know of with darkride style water rides. The two that are in the park are Lost River of the Pharohs and Voyage to the Center of the Earth. http://www.waterworldcolorado.com/ It is a great park and has a lot of fun rides... Just watch the sun when you are in CO because it will burn you in no time... SPF 30 is practically the minimum at this altitude and apply at least twice a day. ECZenith
Ah, thanks for clearing that up. THAT's the waterpark I really want to check out. I can't believe other water parks haven't ripped them off yet, it's such a good idea to incorporate a water slide with (good!) special effects. tinflowers
In Wisconsin Dells, why are there so many waterparks? Just curious. It seems so awsome to have that many slides in one place. Looks like a fun place to visit.

SLUSHIE
That bowl doesn't look any bigger than the one at my local water park. The slide part might be longer and taller though. My local water park is building a new slide or something. They really have all the coolest and newest slides, and I have no idea what their new one is going to be. It's being built over the wave pool and is pretty much right on the street.
cwsr
ECZenith, the name of the yellow/teal slides at Chula Vista is Matador Mat Racers. Hope that helps. Any of my pictures that I have posted, I have in wallpaper quality. So if anybody wants a larger version, just let me know. As for the size of the bowl slide. I am not sure, but I think this is the only one that uses the same cloverleaf tubes as the Tornado Pro Slides. I have only seen small tube or body slide bowls. Is there anymore Bowls that use these larger tubes? Here is Day 5: The Lost Island Waterpark in Waterloo, IA. This park is really under-rated. You will see looking through the photo's that it is much better than most Six Flags waterparks. Have a look and judge for yourself. New for 2006: The Molokini Crater. AKA Tornado The Blue Iguana Bay activity pool The theming only begins with the sign's around the park. Sorry, this got out of order. This is the Ticket Booth sign. cwsr
Day 6: Wow, it is already Day 6 of our trip, wonder where we are going now? Well this park has only been open for 2 weeks now. It is the brand new Waterpark of America in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This park was very kind of cool. They have a lazy river that flows through a large cave with waterfalls, under a giant bear, and through the wave pool. Enjoy our photo's from WPOA. It reads, Eagle's Nest. This family raft slide is the largest, longest and tallest slide of it's type in the world. Cascade Falls, awesome ride I spy Body Slides This is Bear Island, basketball and a lily pad crawl is some of the activities here. Finally there. We ran across this sign on I 35. cwsr
Day 7: More Waterpark fun at the Grand Rios, just north of Minneapolis. This is a smaller but efficient park well suited for families. The largest thrill here would be the Hurricane Plunge bowl slide. On our way home, we stopped at the Mn Zoo. The kid's loved seeing the animals and it was a nice ending to our trip. We hope you enjoyed looking through the hundreds of photo's. Thanks for putting up with us. I will be posting another trip report later today from yesterdays short trip to the Great Serengeti Waterpark. Look for it and feel free to comment on the pics. verticalzero
The people in the last photo are mad getting that close to a coaster, why don't they have fences to keep stupid people away from the ride. No wonder people that "thick" die and then the park gets sued for loads of money. What are the coasters like to ride...? Are they rough as I may be planning to visit the Theme Park next year. pvcoasterguy
Nice TR, with great photos! Now that I've finally seen some photos of The Lost Island, I really want to go. It looks quite nice, with some pretty good slides. Thanks for all the great waterpark TR's with photos. That is one thing that people don't do much, and I'm very happy that you put all the waterpark TR's up. Thanks!
