terrancew_hod Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Hopefully this year I'll see more sun instead of being stuck inside! At least this summer (hopefully) I'll cut my commute down to 20 minutes instead of an hour by moving to Ft Lauderdale so I can sleep a little more! Terry
Kennyweird Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Im curious, how does daylight savings time impact the economy? Not saying it's incorrect, I just do not see the connection. DST means more light in the evenings, when a lot of people get off work and shop (recreationally and groceries/necessities). Having the extra light at that time makes people more inclined to actually go spend money, as people prefer to be out and about when there's daylight (more practical/convenient as well as safe). If it were darker, people would probably be more inclined to not worry about running errands, and consequently hold onto their money. At least that's how it makes sense to me. That's exactly what I was referring to.
Nrthwnd Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Tick, tick, tick... (for some of us, still) Tick Tock + a Tick - but not till early Sunday morning.
K1ngdaKa88 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 We still are in the Winter Time in Switzerland! We change our time in the night from Sat 28th to sun 29th march!
gisco Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 It seems like this year more people want this time change thing to go away.
