Maybe there is some top-secret government thingy that is visible from way up there, and they don't want people to see what's going on!

Noise...

Yup...

They didn't really have any "complaints", but several people that live there have mentioned the screaming from the coaster. Since the park has a very healthy relationship with people that live there, they did that...

Yeah I forgot about this! I rember Miro mentioning it when we were there this Summer. Also, isn't Balder supposed to get its first drop enclosed? Anyone know anything further on that?

They have walls too (have been there when you went), I think that's about it...

These sound barriers just look ugly on coasters, first Balder, now this? The noise can't be that bad, its not like anyone lives so close to that coaster? Can't they fill up the track with sand like they did with Daemonen in Tivoli Gardens? Or is it the anti-rollback that makes so much noise? It can't be that loud?

Anyway, Sorry, but just had to say something, i just think it ruins the beauty of it all, at least it doesn't change the experience of riding...

bah... just fill them with sand too... sand bags never cause noise complaints.

Anyway seriously it sounds like EP is trying to keep up its good relationship with its neigbours. which is all good. it doesnt really detract from the experience either. its just not pretty

I havent ridden Balder before the sound barriers were built, but I think that they really made the ride more exciting and it doesnt look bad in my opinion. The one on Silverstar looks really ugly though.
