piggy4891 Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 ^^Here is my grading scale, I wish I had yours. Look at mine... http://www.wws.k12.in.us/whs/Students/Grading%20policy.html BTW do you go to private school or religious school?
Bucket Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 My Exams are not until Feb. so I do not know what my official grades are. We do not have letter grades in Germany, but rather numbers for our marks. 1 is the best and 5 is the worst. Englische Sprachkurs (mit Hospitanten): 1 Translation - English Language Course with British students who help us Germans with our English. As my major is English, I really enjoy my Language class even though I have it every day. Interkulturelle Kommunikation: 1 Translation - Communication differences between American and German cultures. Literatur II: 2 Translation - my literature class. We discuss English literature (for example Shakespeare) and analyze the meaning. It really is difficult because Old English is probably difficult for English speaking people! Landeskunde: 1 Translation - Applied Geography in the United States Neuropsychologie: 2 or 3 Translation - Nero Psychology. Perhaps my most difficult class. Interesting but extremely challenging. I really have to learn all the time to do well in this class.
Homer Posted December 10, 2007 Author Posted December 10, 2007 Man, community college is easy. English 1101: Turned in research paper, awaiting grade. Psychology: Aced class, don't have to take final. Topics in Math: I only missed like 4 questions, I'm getting a high B I think. Statistics: We'll see on Wednesday. Stats is the only final I'm worrying about.
AllenA07 Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 I finish up finals for the semester tomorrow. However I go out with the biggest of them all, a 10 hour Civil Procedure exam. Last week I had to deal with Torts (which was a monster in its own right) and Contracts. So needless to say, after two weeks on finals, I'm more then ready to be done. I hope my grades are decent this semester, we're graded on a forced curve, and out of 64 of us per class only 2-3 will get an A, most people get either a B or a C. However I'm simply so tired of the law, that I don't much care at this point what I get, I just want to be done.
Pufferfish Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 It sucks, our school district delayed the school year back about two weeks, so now I have to worry about my exams over Christmas break. Then we will be jumping straight into the second semester. Stupid district. Anyways, my grades are looking pretty good so far, my mid term grades were all Bs except for English which I still passed with a 70 though.
Coasterlvr_nc Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 haha, my school does that every year! i hate it!
Angry_Gumball Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Well, finals are this week and this round will be a piece of cake. The only real work was in my video editing class using Final Cut and Flash.
cobra_roll06 Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 To get into University I needed to get 3 B's in my "Higher" exams. Two of which had to be maths & physics. (Pretty obvious since I applied to do physics!) Anyway I ended up getting: A's - Physics & Maths B's - English & Chemistry C - Graphic Design. I really couldn't believe it! Now, I'm in my last week of my first semester and have exams coming up in January. Oh the Xmas is going to be loads of fun.
CoasterDude211 Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 My grades are in and I'm pretty happy with them. Biology 1 - A+ Biology 1 Lab - A- General Chemistry 1 - B+ English 101 - A+ Intro to Fine Arts - A Hopefully I can do better next semester and get a solid A in Chemistry 102!
