And then I found out that Donkey Basketball is FOR REAL!!! :shock:

Are you kidding??? Who WOULDN'T need donkeys? I don't know how I'd function! I mean, I ride Churro to class, the mall, even to amusement parks. To avoid the parking fee, I try to smuggle him in to the petting zoos. It's like free baby-sitting for a day!

Yes, this was a common fund-raising activity back when I was in high school in Patterson, California. Of course, this was farm country (which is slowly becoming subdivision country).

They did this at my High School when I was a freshman..

 

Teachers vs the students....not a pretty sight...they put special shoes on the donkeys so they dont mess up the gym floor...

 

Problem is when one of them craps on the floor... :shock:

They used to have charity donkey basketball games every year in the town that we lived in in Texas. Usually it was between high school teachers and students.

 

They also had bear wrestling at a country dance club about 4 miles from where we lived!

 

We didn't live in exactly the most metropolitan area.
