A new themed ride idea for paramount

I light of recent success (or lack there of, you decide) of the Italian Job stunt track rides at paramount parks, I can only imagine how f*in cool a Dukes of Hazard Themed Ride would be!!!! Imagine an themed Intamin launched rocket coaster careening thought the back woods at Kings Island in General Lee themed Orange Dodge charger trains!!!! I know everyone in the forums might not be as redneck as me, but hell a lot of people out there are who would absolutely love a ride like this. Maybe a Rita esque layout that sits low to the ground flying through the trees in and out of ditches and maybe jumps over a police car baracaded road. Hell yeah a real THRILLLBILLY screamer.

A gay cowboy themed coaster. Maybe, PGA will be the park to get that.

 

BTW, the Dukes of Hazzard ride is not a bad idea. I like it better than the Italian Job theme.

1. Paramount already has a star Intamin coaster (Italian Job)

2. They better put Jessica Simpson theming on that ride!

 

All in all, I think it would be pretty funny if Paramount did this.

Prety sure Italian Job is a Premier Ride, but yeah A little Daisy Duke in there would be great. Maybe ride-ops in short shorts hell yeah, Elissa need a job? haha. Hell why not a whole Hazard themed land? Baors Nest Restaurant, Hazard Road Rally go kart ride, A sweet flat ride maybe a Huss Jump or something, I can see it. YEEEE HAAAAW !!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I love the idea Ross. I grew up watching the Dukes. I can only imagine how awesome a heavily themed ride like that would be! Seriously though, I would be that an attraction like that would bring in tons of people!

I'd much rather take a quality coaster over clever theming any day of the week. Tomb Raider is a perfect example of that. The theming looks pretty, but the ride is garbage. But then again, my Paramount experience is limited to Canada's Wonderland.

I am far from being a redneck, but I really like the Dukes of Hazard! Good idea, and it would be nice to see PKI get another coaster that goes through the woods, like The Beast.

 

And yeah, Itlain Job was built by Premeir, not Intamin.

Don't say those sort of things... Paramount might be listening...

 

Besides with the split coming I doubt we will see much more of the movie themed ride... (thank goodness)

 

I would be much happier with an original ride rather than something based off a movie...

I am still waiting for the Godfather attraction. There are so many possiblities:

 

- Run from the police after shooting a police officer and Turkish drug lord

- Toll booth flat ride where you are shot approx. 2000 times

- Boat ride that takes you to the middle of the lake ... and then shoots you

- Dead hooker in the Senator's hotel room (Dark Ride)

- Escape from Communist Havana

- Shoot the Pope (Shooting Gallery)

That would be hilarious..a coaster just circling jessica simpson over and over again....I think paramount's star intamin is Volcano: The Blast Coaster?

Dukes of Hazzard should be two coasters, sort of like Dueling Dragons. One for the General Lee, the other for the Sheriff. There was always a car chase between the two in every episode. In fact, the sheriff train should be a little behind the General Lee train, making it a chase instead of a race.

 

What do you guys think?

 

BTW, Jessica Simpson is no Daisy Duke.

i think the cop chase would be a cool idea, but maybe instead of a coaster use something similar to test track where it speeds up slows down and feels more like a car.

SInce i live in the original Hazzard County i would have to say im all for a dukes of hazzard ride. It would be cool seeing replicas of buildings im use to seeing everyday on a ride, that is if they do classic dukes and not the movie.
