mightbeawannabe Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Not intentionally (it got in my straw, the little F****r!) Have you ever been totally speechless?
cal1br3tto Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Yes, I would say so. After riding Timber Terror for the 5th time in my life (first time in the front seat), I said "That.........." and simply could say no more. I'm sure there are some non-theme park instances that could also qualify. Have you ever made a pilgrimage to a park because it was reportedly going out of business?
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 So far, not quite. I went to SFMM in 2005 unaware that Psyclone was going down the next year, but that's the closest I've been to doing that. Although it really isn't THAT close. Is there a good roller rink near where you live?
wumwip Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 No... sadly they're pretty scarece in Cali. Is there a Mc Donald's that is walking distance from where you live?
cal1br3tto Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Technically, yes! For practicality purposes, no. (It's well over a mile away.) Have you ever eaten at a "fancy" McDonald's? (Example)
ebl Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Actually, I have. One time I ate at a McDonald's on Market St. in San Francisco. The place was decorated in dark wood and was dimly lit, like a fancy restaurant. They even had a doorman! I don't know if that McDonald's is still open now. Do you count the cars on passing trains?
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Occasionally. I did it more when I was young (and when I saw trains more often), but I sometimes do when I'm in Mount Vernon. Have you had a soft drink in the past week?
wumwip Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 ^ No. (thank goodness because I'm fat enough already) I try to stay away from them... Water, Milk, and sometimes juice are my main drinks. Do you consider Taco Bell as REAL Mexican food?
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 No. It isn't bad, but Taco Bell, real, and Mexican don't go in the same sentence.... Unless, of course, not or isn't is in there too. Is your local park more than one hour away from you?
XII Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Nope. I'm only 45 minutes away from my home park. Do you consider your home park to be a good theme park?
Midgetman82 Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Not really, a lot of people have some down thoughts on it and I can see why. Would you ride a waterslide made completely out of Styrofoam?
mightbeawannabe Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Umm, Show me a picture!! That sounds crazy! But in reality, no. Would you go halfway around the world to hear a concert, just because of the wonderful acoustics of the *building? *the Musikverein in Vienna, home of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Ja, it's on the bucket list
Cavs Fan Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 ^Nah, I don't admire that kind of thing yet. Do you think that LeBron James is the biggest jerk on the face of the earth?
no_brain_er Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 ^No. There are (and definitely have been) worse than LeBron. Pssh, basketball. Do you like orange juice better than grape juice?
wumwip Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Yes. Only because it's cheaper to buy. Do you believe Denny's "real breakfast" slogan?
cal1br3tto Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Yes! Denny's is the best! Isn't it time for a serious breakfast?
Airtime&Gravity Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 No Keeping the breakfast theme, do you prefer McDonald's over Burger King for breakfast?
Midgetman82 Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 ^100%, curse the 10:30 A.M. ending time though. Do you prefer Waffles over Pancakes?
no_brain_er Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Yes! I love seafood! Do you find sushi appetizing?
Midgetman82 Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Varies, my favorite being California Rolls. Do you prefer body slides over inner tube water slides?
wumwip Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 No. One time a body water silde cut my back really badly. Do you know someone who has never ridden a roller coaster?
mightbeawannabe Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Yes. Scary, ain't it? Do you prefer log flumes over chutes?
cal1br3tto Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Yes, they seem to have better layouts, probably by definition. Overall they provide a superior experience, although there is one shoot-the-chutes that practically scared me to death each time I rode it, making it a winner in my book. Do you always place your phone in a plastic bag before going on a water ride?
mightbeawannabe Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Sometimes. I either put it in a water-proof bag or leave it with a person in my group that's too much of a tight-A$$ to ride them. Do you always do the big rides before the small rides?
