I really hope this ride does more than what is presented in this video when it's finally open. I honestly don't "get it."

I don't get it either, but that chicken music in the background is so awful and somehow great at the same time that I sort of wish this thing has onboard audio.

I really try to keep it positive and open minded when it comes to new rides but this looks like the dumbest thing ever.

This reminds me (the shape of it I guess) of the Screaming Squirrel/Sequoia Adventure,

in Gardaland. Only slower and no inversions.

Honestly it seems pretty cute and should be fun for kids. Think of it as a kind of funky observation tower with swinging seats.

 

This seems like the best way to approach it. When they proposed the earlier models they were going for a thrill aspect, which doesn't really work.
