dubaidave
Wonderland Dubai was the first theme park in Dubai. It has been closed for a few months and all the rides have been removed. I understand that the area will be re developed as a new theme park. I went to the park the other day and the gate was open. I took a walk around and got some photos. I saw the security guy at the end and checked he was ok with me taking photos and he said fine. Heres the original website http://www.wonderlanduae.com and the photos. Nrthwnd
It's amazing that it looks like there's still some reusable stuff around there, that could easily go to another, open park. Rather than just letting it sit, etc. Those dusty bumper cars. Well, if it's eventually going to become another park, that's great. Here's hoping. KBrylczyk
It's so odd to see a park of this caliber in Dubai, abandoned or not. Granted I've yet to visit Dubai but from what I've seen of existing parks and those that are under construction, everything is top of the line and has had a lot of aesthetic planning put into it. This looks like something that you could find on the NJ boardwalk.
robbalvey
This place was a crap hole. Nice to see it gone.

jedimaster1227
Interesting that the plan is to reportedly redevelopment as another amusement park-style experience... I somehow doubt that all the rides would've been shipped off if they planned to use the space for a similar purpose.
cookiex
I remember this because it was right across the street from our hotel (the Park Hyatt) and I took a good look at it every time I stared out the window. Tbh it's kind of a surprise it lasted this long considering even back then (2007) I never saw anyone enter the park for the whole week we were there. Good thing I went to Wild Wadi instead (which kicked some serious butt).
