Wishmaster Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Twister (a KMG speed) Toppled while setting up for the fair in Leopoldsburg. It is not yet known what caused the accident. http://users.skynet.be/sc00pje/1.jpg http://users.skynet.be/sc00pje/2.jpg Pics are from sc00p @ ThemeparkVision
Shockwave Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Oops. That's bad news for the fair and that house.
Cerberus Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 It hasn't even been folded out properly yet. They were probably in the middle of putting it up/taking it down and didn't put the stabilisers out yet... or put them away too soon. If I were the house owner I'd let them get away with it... At the cost of their ride, which would then be mine Cerberus
rollermonkey Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Wow, it looks like the ride's internal support structure failed. That goes on my list of rides to avoid! Chris B
ECZenith Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 These rides are great, I went on a KMG speed in Brockton Mass earlier this year. It's a shame to see one so badly damaged. Luckily no one was hurt.
verticalzero Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Ouch, that's gonna cost a few pounds to fix. I am planning to visit the Theme Park early next year.
coastakid Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 hate to see it down. That was my favorite flat. ps,i asked the guy to make it gto faster and he did and then i asked how fast it was going and he said 18 rpm which in this case is ruffly 80mph!
Stitch Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 I am very happy no one got hurt, rides and buildings can be fixed
Canobie Fan Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 These rides are great, I went on a KMG speed in Brockton Mass earlier this yea. As did I. I took 4 laps on it 8)
Joe Cool Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Holy sheet that is bad atleast nobody was hurt.
Real Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 It hasn't even been folded out properly yet. At the cost of their ride, which would then be mine Cerberus So long as the ride was ok, thats NOT a bad idea!
