So now that I bought the 2 expansion packs for RCT2 (only 19.99!) I decided, why not..let's do some park building. Well, for the sake of my computer this park is only 50x50..but that's plenty big for me to create. I instantly fell in love with the South American theming so that was my plan with this park. It's located in the deeper mountainous jungle with rivers running past 2 sides of the park. With the park being so mountainous most of my coasters and water rides are underground...but I can show off whatever is above ground! Sure some of the flat rides don't really fit into a South American theme but..whatever..not everyone can ride coasters in this game (weirdos).

So let's get to the tour! (many apologies to dialup users..you'll see why)

First an overall park view:

um, as you can first tell, the top-left of the park isn't done. I finished building the coaster and mountain around it before saving...so that's still left to work on. but..yeah...it's not a flat park. I got this idea of raising the elevation from a link in the Buildings 101 thread and I thought I would give it a try. also as you can tell there's buildings! I'm going to show off 2 of those next because this is a first for me. Ok, there's a total of 4 coasters in this pic. 2 above ground, 2 that start above and go underground. I'll get to that in a bit.

But first...check these two out. I built these!!! After a brief introduction to buildings from the Buildings 101 thread, adn armed with my mouse and keyboard I thought I would give it a shot. First is this temple located pretty close to the center of the park. I made this! It's sooo cool!! I know, some of you are thinking "okay, it's a building." no no...it's more than just that. it's a building I made! It only serves a decorative and (theoretically) historical purpose, but I'm so proud of it.

..and then there's big ol' building #2 which houses the station for one of my coasters. I actually built this before the one above it. but it's still really cool and I love it!

Okay, onto more of the park now that I got that out of my system. Here's the front entrance. notice all the cool buildings that Allie made herself!! (and notice to the right the water ride that no one wants to go on.

Ok, nevermind that water ride. on to the next part of the park. Here is a good view of "Proving Grounds"...I think that's the name of it. I forget. Sadly I didn't fit all of the coaster into the shot. You're missing a half loop to a barrel roll which turns back around into a corkscrew into a quarter loop down into the ground..then the loops and twists and double corkscrew that you *can* see. Above that is a mostly underground giga coaster and above that is the newly unnamed and not-quite themed coaster.

This shot (caused by clicking that rotate button once..heh heh) is just a better view of the giga coaster queue and the unnammed, unthemed coaster I just built. Oh hey, you can see those inversions and stuff that were cut out from the previous picture. rock on! The cool thing of taking pics this high up is that you can't see any litter or barf on the ground. Eh, my park was awardest tidiest. hey, when money is no object you go crazy with the handymen.

Well..I cursed myself. figures. okay, next picture! here's a close up of two of the first buildings I made. one for the water ride to your left with the lame ride op crew who sent out an empty boat. then another to your right in the mini-lake that has the giga coaster go around it. I thought that was a cool touch. Don't ask me why I put a time machine flat ride in, my people love it! Also if you look down you'll see that South American Neptune Ride, barf on one of the paths and my assigned handyman passing time watching that currently empty ride queue. Ok well there's another guy that looks like he's on his way to clean that up. But just to be safe I took the slacker handyman, dropped him into the lake, counted to 5, then when I thought he was about to drown I pulled him out and put him back down in his area. I'm sure I won't have any more problems out of him.

ok, last picture. another close up of a couple buildings that were made early in the park creation. that one in the center I built after I made the vertical drop coaster (called 'Warrior Training Grounds' I think). yeah, then there's the oak barrell water ride no one wants to go on. even after I shut it down for a little bit and reopened it. oy. and if you look closely you can see that well-fitting mayan trebuchet ride! maybe they had those, I dunno..my people needed flat rides!

I know you can't quite tell but at one point I went through and put fencing up around the entire perimiter of the park and around any sharp drop offs and around water. safety is very important at Rio del Sol!

so...that's my park so far! I hope you like it. If not, you'll get over it. aren't my buildings the coolest for someone who never made buildings before?! I thought so too.

ok...I'm done talking about my park, plus I have to pee right now.
