It gives me a ton of hope about this project to see them just raze everything they had before.

 

For those of you who have not been here, allow me to put into perspective the amount of work they're doing...

 

Imagine a small to medium sized park that is up on a mountain accessible only by two cable cars or a mountain road that kills around 50 people a year due to fog and its treacherous nature.

 

 

the accident is due technical problem on bus break system,not fog or treacherous nature... note that universal studio ssingapore also can be reach by 1 monorail and 1 road to sentosa island...

^Yeah, but Universal Singapore isn't on a mountain and the road is a multi-lane highway in a highly developed country.

 

I'm not just talking about the latest bus accidents but over the last 25 years. Just google it, there are tons of articles on how the safety barriers aren't appropriate for the road and that the runaway ramps are in bad locations.

Was doing a little research into this and found that the project is seriously delayed till at least late 2017. Anyone hear or know more? I'm wondering if it will even still finish with a delay and this long term closure.

I hear rumors that the climate and the falling local currency are causing setbacks.

 

Track for what seems to be an indoor flume ride seems to have been laid down at least.

Japanese brokers report the park won't open until late 2017 at the earliest. The budget for the whole hotel revamp is said to have more than doubled from its original estimate.

This park is finally coming along quite nicely and the coasters are going in.

The racing Sons Of Anarchy coasters are also going in.

 

And this weird suspended single rail thing which seems half coaster half transport ride so far

A Sons of Anarchy themed coaster in Malaysia.......okay haha. I never would have imagined that to be an IP that resonates with an international audience but hey I'm all for a dueling motorcycle coaster!

Any word on the manufacturer? If it's a motorbike coaster like the theme would suggest it looks like either a Zamperla or an Intamin.

Still weird to see this so much happening with this park! I honestly think the brands they're getting are far more valuable than the park they're going into, so I'll be curious to see if the quality meets the standards of the Fox IPs and for how long.

So with the aquisition of Fox by Disney this week this is technically now a Disney park. (although obviously not really)

A strange side effect of that massive deal.

 

I'm assuming it won't actually have any tangible affect on the park itself but its interesting to note Disney probably now own it (or at least the licences anyway, depending how the deal for the original licenses/ownership is structured).
