slappybob Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Make Mantis a sit-down or floor less, it would be so much better IMO! RMC Mean streak, make it more exciting to ride! Make Tennessee Tornado longer! Add an airtime hill after the over banked turn then add a finishing helix right before the break run.
Hriscay Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Iron Rattler- Add a Helix right before the last break run when you come out of the cliff like on the original rattler. That would give it a better shot IMO at beating NTG. Mean Streak- Rode it once in my 3 day visit to Cedar Point a couple years back... Either Iron Horse the whole thing. or tear it down. I think thats the general consensus Any Cyclone Layout: I think it would be awesome to have RMC do a iron horse on any of these. Imagine the hill after the first turn around having a Barrel roll and the turn arounds being over banked... Just sayin.
B&MBoy1982 Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Tear down Millennium Forceless and build something with more airtime.
cmullin Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Kingda Ka should use lap bars instead of OTSRs. Maverick should use lap bars instead of OTSRs. Tatsu should have a massive swooping drop down to the midway. Grizzly should get torn down and replaced by a Mega-Lite or some other awesome Intamin coaster.
Koasterking48 Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Tear down Millennium Forceless and build something with more airtime. I'd rather add in some tighter/smaller over banks offer more G's, reshape the two airtime hills so that they provide El Toro-esque airtime, and redo the last 1/4 of the ride with something more exciting.
chickenbowl Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Limited to my local coasters for now: 1) RMC Topper Track on GhostRider's whole layout 2) Restore Revolution 3) Make Pony Express longer 4) Add a second half to Full Throttle post-TopHat. Also add a 3rd train so it won't run 1 train when one is under maintenance. 5) Give Silver Bullet an actual first drop. One that is steeper than 30 degrees... (I actually really enjoy the rest of the layout, that helix is plenty forceful) 6) Give Superman Ultimate Flight (SFDK) a transfer track station so it can have two trains. 7) Let Green Lantern actually flip and run how it's supposed to. 8) Give Journey to Atlantis the rest of the theming and storyline it should have gotten (and an indoor section like the one in Orlando) I'm sure there's more!
rcjp Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 4) Add a second half to YOLOcoaster post-TopHat. Also add a 3rd train so it won't run 1 train when one is under maintenance. Of course! I could I forget YOLOcoaster? I think I would add something like a kind of figure of eight layout a bit like skyrush does, with some nice airtime hills and banked close to the ground forceful turns
VF15 Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 -Gatekeeper: Remove the midcourse brake run and make the ride's ending a little more interesting. -Diamondback: Make the helix before the splashdown tighter and more forceful. -Wild Thing: Redesign the turnaround to be more eventful, and turn off the mid-course brakes. -Superman: Ultimate Flight (B&M flyer): Redesign the rest of the layout to be more forceful. -American Eagle: RMC it, Twisted Colossus style. -Mean Streak: Burn it down.
canadianparkfan Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I'd remove the awful OTSRs on both Maverick and Revolution (leaving lap bars only on Revolution and putting I-305 restraints on Maverick) so I could actually enjoy both of those without getting a near-concussion. There are plenty of other coasters that have bad OTSRs that I'd replace with I-305 type or the new Vekoma type, but most of those aren't that great to begin with so probably wouldn't be worth it. Hmmm... Predicting the future.... ^^I know what you mean with full throttle. I hated how SFMM faked out everyone with the animation/previews, not showing that the top hat ended with a break run half way down. As for my home park, not really a modification, but I'd get the flats (particularly the frisbee and topscan) at wonderland to run better/longer cycles).
Password121 Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 SFNE Cyclone RMC treatment, because really, this thing's beyond saving in its current form. -Heighten lift hill by 25-30 feet. -Greatly steepen first drop and the subsequent turn and make it an overbank. -A much sharper dip and turn on the first large turnaround. -Turn drop from first large turnaround into a double-down. -Turn crest of hill into second large turnaround into overbank and reduce its height. -Make second large turnaround deeper and make the crest of the hill leading out sharper. -No major changes to the final section, just make alterations as needed to make it wild again. That should probably be enough unless I'm missing something. Other than the last point, this is eerily accurate.
canadianparkfan Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 ^Agreed... Any info on future RMC projects?... I know who to call!
