gerstlaueringvar Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Dare Devil Dive's lift hill sounds nice. The rest of the ride is just... soooo quiet!
dropzonefan Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 SLC lift hills and break runs sound quite interesting. Some of the newer ones having a distinct whirring noise to the lift instead of the click clack of the anti rollbacks. The break runs also sound kind of like machine guns, which is cool. Â Of course there's always The B&M roar, with older inverts seeming.to roar the most. Â Other cool ride sounding ride sounds that are worth mentioning include arrow lift hills, Huss enterprises spinning up, and the weird air raid siren sound of Chance Zippers.
rctneil Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 After arriving back from Japan, I would have to say the sound that Dodonpa makes as it launches is pretty cool. Big hydraulic boom.
rustyinpeace Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I really like the unique engine like noise Revolution makes, Just wish it still rode as awesome as it sounds.
TJ27 Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I like the sound HUSS Giant Frisbees make. I'm not sure how to explain it but there's just something great about it.
cfc Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 After arriving back from Japan, I would have to say the sound that Dodonpa makes as it launches is pretty cool. Big hydraulic boom. Â I was rather fond of the moo-cow sounds of Steel Dragon--now those were odd.
Dr. M Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Last night at Hershey I noticed that the huge wheel for Skyrush's lift cable on the far side of the creek makes a pretty creepy, awesome sound when you're near it on that new path (I assume it's the motor that's driving it). I also was pretty amazed how they had to string the cable back over the creek and then underground to get it back to the station, it's crazy what they had to do to squash that ride in there.
alwaysairtime14 Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Anything with loud anti-rollbacks sounds awesome to me, especially on old wooden coasters. So nostalgic!
ThanksforRiding Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 An ol' Arrow lift always gets to me. That B&M roar from their earlier days is fantastic. The old Premier launch sound (Flight of Fears, Chiller, etc.) is great too.
TheMaxster Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Cheetah Hunt's launch reminds me of a, well, roar. It sounds pretty awesome when riding it.
cfc Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 I was amused with how Sky Rocket's (Kennywood) sounds like "whe-e-e-e-e-e".
