zachclarke2 Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 OK, so I finally bought a Nikon over the winter, and I just recently had the opportunity to take it out and use it at parks. The pictures I've taken over the past couple days have been surprisingly good (to me at least) so I figured I'd post some here. I'll try to post some each day, and after this week I'll post new ones that I take. Most of them will probably be from Busch Gardens, as I go there a lot. A lot of the first I post will be from Florida spring break. I'll also post a lot of night photos, I consider them to be my strong suit. I apologize that the quality is not spectacular, I had to resize them to fit the standards. I'll try to figure something out. To start, here are some that I took at Old Town/Fun Spot on Saturday: Windstorm Here's a panorama for all you crazy panorama people Wacky Worm Power Trip
Chroniq Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 cool photos, but could really use larger watermarks
zachclarke2 Posted April 2, 2013 Author Posted April 2, 2013 Eh, you can just look at some of TowersTimes photos if you want some big watermarks. I made them smaller, so hopefully no more complaining. Here's some pictures of Manta from Sunday...
simaticable Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Manta...hoping to catch some of that next week! Great pics!
Randomman295 Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 I love taking pictures like that one of Manta's roll. Keep it up, I say.
CpBluestreakCp Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Really nice pictures. Love the one of Manta with just the track itself!
zachclarke2 Posted April 3, 2013 Author Posted April 3, 2013 ^&^^&^^^ Thank you all! It is appreciated! I can post some Journey to Atlantis pictures later if anyone is interested...if not tonight I'll post them tomorrow.
Randomman295 Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 ^I can't get over how well you pulled off the motion blur in that last shot. Fantastic.
boardwalkbullet91507 Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 I can't get over how well you pulled off the motion blur in that last shot. That's what I thought. That one is my favorite! Nice pictures!
zachclarke2 Posted April 4, 2013 Author Posted April 4, 2013 ^^I leaned the tripod against the fence, so there was no movement, hence the clear shot + the train blur. Thanks! Some Journey to Atlantis pictures from Sunday & Monday: I might be alone when I say this, but I personally think that this ride is much better than Splash Mountain. Don't really know why though.
Midgetman82 Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 The day I bring a tripod into an amusement park, I'd be pretty happy! Very nice photographs! Love the nighttime and closeup shots especially.
zachclarke2 Posted April 5, 2013 Author Posted April 5, 2013 ^A tripod can be a pain to carry around, but it's definitely worth it if you get some decent shots out of it. Here's some other random stuff from SeaWorld from Sunday and Monday: (better quality of the panorama: clicky) (there was a person in one of those motorized wheel chairs entering the stadium) waterfront panorama (see link above)
zachclarke2 Posted April 7, 2013 Author Posted April 7, 2013 Some pictures from CityWalk on Monday night... (better version of the panorama: click)
zachclarke2 Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 (sorry for the triple post) Here are a couple HRRRRRRRRRRR pictures from Monday night at CityWalk (April 1)
cmullin Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Wow! Awesome! I love the way you blur the train and keep a clear shot! Keep it up!
zachclarke2 Posted April 10, 2013 Author Posted April 10, 2013 ^Thank you! On Tuesday (April 2), we went to Magic Kingdom. I'm going to try to post pictures in sets, so they'll probably be put up over the next week or so. Here are some BTMRR pictures:
RideofSteel Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Those are some great pictures! Thanks for sharing!
zachclarke2 Posted April 20, 2013 Author Posted April 20, 2013 ^Thank you! It's been a few days, but I still have some more Magic Kingdom pictures. These were taken on TTA. There wasn't much of a line, so I figured I'd ride and take my tripod on. I had never done this, nor seen anybody else do this so I had no idea what the pictures would look like. They are all essentially the same, with different colors and blurring. Here ya go:
