XII
Back in June, I left this country and went on over to Europe for two insane back to back TPR Trips. Now I had gone on several roller coaster trips before such as the TPR Middle America and Northeast Trips and I technically have been to parks outside the U.S (Canada barely counts), this was my first trip to a different continent and man was this an awesome trip. All the other trips I had been on were awesome, but this takes the cake. This was definitely some of the best 3 weeks ever. I miss the trip, but hey. Now I can re-live it through my photos and so can you. Grr!!! I'm getting anxious!!! Just start the plane already!!!! Quick layover in New York City. Sorry New York City. I loved seeing you last year and all, but I have better things to do. Tell Scotts Pizza Tours I said Hi though. Holy Sh*t!!!!! I'm here!!!! Well. Time to take the Metro into Rome. Hello Rainbow Magicland. I'll see you soon. Yeah, they're advertising the park everywhere in Rome. Its on my metro ticket, and plasted on countless buses in the city. Cool Italian Graffiti. Well, here I am in Rome. Ooh. Funky Looking Bridge. All right. So its lunch time, and I'm hungry. But I don't have much cash (A reucurring theme on this trip). So I'm trying to find some cheap place for lunch. I keep finding a bunch of places that only serve stuff at around €10. Then I stumble upon this amazing little hole in the wall Pizza Place. It may be the size of a janitors closet and have no name, but the pizza was Scotts Pizza Tour good and I got 3 slices and a Coke for only €3.20!!!!! Awesome!!!!! I have no idea what this is, but it looks cool. Well, I made it to the Colloseum. I'll see you in full detail tomorrow Colloseum. OH THANK GOD!!! A WATER FOUNTAIN!!!!! AFTER WANDERING AROUND ROME FOR HOURS IN 95 DEGREE WEATHER DEHYDRATED, SEEING THIS THING WAS AMAZING!!!!!! Hey, when you gotta go... MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All right. Italian Gelato is just flat out amazing. I love this stuff. The stuff I had in Solvang last week, crap compared to this. So good!!!!!! I can see that the Vending Machines in Rome are only of the highest quality and in excellent condition. Well, I lost my Metro Ticket. So now its time for me to try walking through the city to get back to the hotel. Hey, Challenge Accepted. Ooh. Pretty Rome Shot. Blah. I don't need you. I have legs. =p Hey, I may be completely lost and have no clue where the hell I am, but it does look nice. Hello dog. Hows it going. All right. Its the end of the line. After an encounter with some VERY interesting (not in a good way) people, I was ready to get back to the hotel. I got on the Metro and went back to the Hotel. All right. The TPR Italy Trip has officially begun with a great lunch at Paino Pizza. The four cheese pizza here was really freaking good. This picture is awesome on so many different levels, especially with the no smoking rule down below. This thing tastes as good as it looked. All right. First stop of the day would be the Piazza Navona Square. This is one of the most famous squares in Rome. Its been around since the 15th Century. Hey, its a really nice looking square. "OH NO WILBUR!!!!!!! I'M SINKING!!!!!!" Up next, we checked out the Pantheon. "You expect us poor innocent children to climb a dangerous scaffolding and paint naked people all over a church!!!? WE'LL DO IT!!!!!!!" "But we're not doing it for the sake of art, and we're not doing it for the sake of money!!! No, we're doing it because...we like painting naked people!!!" Up next, we checked out the Trevi Fountain. One of the most famous fountains in the world. Screw the fame. We're all just here because its 95 degrees and we can soak our heads here. The Samsung Galaxy Ad really adds to the ancient feel of this place. Anyone want a free rose? Some of the best and most authentic cuisine you can possibly find in Rome. Burger King. Here are the Spanish Steps. We voted to see them from the bus since its air conditioned, though really, I feel that everyone just didn't want to get any damn exercise. Here are the Roman Forums. Yeah. Its old. I get it. Hey. They may not be the Spanish Steps, but whatever. Close enough. I'm not sure what building this is, but its near the Roman Forums and it looks nice. Mussolini gave some big speech here. Because if theres anyone who did wonders for the world, it was Mussolini. He was such a wonderful man. Such a good guy he was. And now we saved the best for last. Yep. We're gonna see the Colloseum!!!! And yes, we got to see a full tour of this place!!! Blugh. Religion. =( Starring up at the Colloseum. Colloseum Steps > Spanish Steps. Here's a painting of what the Colloseum was used for before it became a giant decoration/tourist attraction. Awesome. Yes, this indeed, the inside of the Colloseum. And for a little more history. Before the Romans built the Colloseum, this doucebag built his palace here before the Romans took it, destroyed it, and built the Colloseum. We're here at the Vatican City. I now have the urge to just sit down in St. Peters Square, get some Italian Gelato, and eat it while reading a book by Richard Dawkins or Christopher Hitchens. Quick!!! To the car!!!! Before the Pope sentences us all to hell!!!! Ooh. Pretty shot of Rome from the hillside. All right. Time for some more Italian Gelato. This stuff is f*cking amazing. All right. Rome Credit Whoring Photos will be up soon. Edited June 27, 2013 by XII
XII
All right. We're now on Day 2 of the trip, which is pretty much just Rome Credit Whoring. We also did a little bit of credit whoring on Day 1 at Parco Morelli, but I just put it in here with the rest of the credit whoring. Though the day was pretty much just riding a bunch of Wacky Worms, it was an awesome day hanging out with TPR Friends, getting a bunch of crappy credits, and hey. They snuck in a good ride with the Schwarzkoph Looping Star at Zoomarine. Well, thats enough culture for now!!! Time to go credit whoring!!! And here we are at our first park. Parco Morelli. Ok, thats where we are right now. Warning. If you credit whore enough, you will be turned into a Dalmation. YAY!!! BONUS CREDIT WHORING!!!!! All right. Thats why we're here!!!! Umm, why the hell is there are a Paris themed coaster in the middle of Rome? "Umm, we tend to figure that people who ride this thing aren't smart enough to ask questions like this, which brings us to what the hell are you doing riding this?" Cha-Ching. Umm, Colin. You do know that Kristen is indeed on the floor right now. Just wanted to make sure you knew. All right. We're now onto Day 3 of the trip. Its officially Credit Whoring Day, and we're off!!! Oh, and on this drive, we literally saw all sorts of crazy sh*t off the side of the road including couches, and all sorts of other garbage. Hell, I think the only thing we didn't see was the kitchen sink. Yep. Our first stop of the day will indeed be Zoomarine. Ooh!!! Is that what I think it is!!!! Yep. Our first stop of the day was Zoomarine, a sort of Italian Knock Off Sea World. It wasn't amazing or anything, but it was nice. It definetly had the best coaster of the day and its the only park we went to on the Credit Whoring Day that I'd go back to. So Zoomarine, you ever thought about getting a nicer entrance? Ahh, the Looping Star doesn't open until around 12:30. But crap!!! We don't have that kind of time!!! Oh well. Lets just get the Wacky Worm out of the way. Or, I guess its really just a Wacky Shark. And hey. Wacky Shark > Wacky Worm. It is such a privelage for us to ride this totally rare and unique coaster with absolutely nothing like it anywhere in the world. Good News!!! With a bribe of €50, they managed to open up the ride just for us early!!!! Oh my god. Its unbelieveable!!! I'm riding a roller coaster today that doesn't suck!!!! It's a miracle!!!!! I totally wish there were more Schwarzkoph Looping Stars out there in the world. And more Schwarzkoph rides in general (that aren't ruined *cough* SFMM *cough*!!!). Who needs Sea World when theres Zoomarine!!! See look!!! Animals!!! We have animals!!!! Well, we've got some time to kill. So lets see what all Zoomarine has to offer. One of the things we did at Zoomarine was this Dinosaur exhibit. It was fun and all, but by far the funniest part was when we were in the exhibit. The guide must have said "Look Out!!!" in Italian. Cause I was like "Huh?" And just right then, I was smacked in the face with a Dinosaur Tail. Yeah, it was funny. Crap!!! We made a wrong turn and now we're stuck in Italian Beach Traffic. We made it to our next park of the day. Fantasialand. This place was so nice that they actually had Donald Duck out front to welcome us. Wow. It looks like I'm gonna have to update my Top 10 Theme Parks List. This place is really that good. Wow. I see Mickey Mouse, Bernard from the Rescuers & Rescuers Down Under, and Basil from the Great Mouse Detective. What is it with this place and Disney Mice? Bumper Cars Takeover anyone? All right. Story Time. We drive up to this place and the park is closed as you can clearly see. Robb goes in and tries to bribe whoevers there to get us on the ride. At first, the security are not amused, and oh, did I mentioned that they were carrying a gun? When they didn't take Robb's bribe of €100, I was sure that that was the end of getting this credit. But Robb gets the bribe up to around €300 before they start to take him seriously. They said that they could open the Galaxy for us, but they couldn't open the Wacky Worm since they didn't own that ride and whoever owned it weren't there. But hey, Robb did manage to get us one of the credits I was certain we weren't going to get!!!! Hey, a credits a credit. BEST COASTER EVER!!!!!! WORTH EVERY SINGLE EURO!!!!! The Dining Options in this park are fabulous. It makes the food at places like Epcot and Silver Dollar City look like complete sh*t. Yeah. Typical TPR Lunch. All right. Time for our next park. Oasi Park. And hey. They literally let us park the cars RIGHT INSIDE the park. Cool. The credit didn't open for 10 minutes, but thats ok since its just entertaining to be here and look at all the Illegal Disney Stuff. "Hello fellas. Its me, Tweety. A little help here as I seem to have misplaced my body." I saw more Disney stuff here than I did at Disneyland Paris. "Hey guys!!! I just won this Kermit!!!!" Along with Disney, Loony Tunes, Pokemon, and Muppets, this park also features American Conservative Talk Show Hosts. Damn, Rush Limbaugh really lost some weight. Holy Crap!!! They also have a credit here too!!! It was a fun kiddy coaster, but I wanna go back at laughing at the Disney Stuff. Hey Cliff, I think this a cow you should really invest in. Now onto our final park of the day, Eden Park. Hey look!!! More totally legal Disney Stuff!!! "Hey, would you rather see the Disney Characters all over the place or me?" We saved the best for last. ANOTHER WACKY WORM!!!! COME ON GUYS!!!! MORE EXCITEMENT!!!! I MEAN, IT'S A WACKY WORM FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!! And what better way to end this update than with an exclusive onride shot of the Wacky Worm. Thanks for reading and Rainbow Magicland will be posted soon. Anything
Some incredible pictures and I'm sure the trip generated many great memories you'd never forget even without the aid of photos. Even though I live in England, I have not seen much of Europe and I am determined to rectify that somewhat this year.
XII
All right. We're now on Day 3 of the trip, and now its time for our first real park of the trip. Rainbow Magicland!!! This is a fairly new park and you can see that. I like the park a lot. They seemed to have opened up with a good variety of rides and some really good theming. There are really only complaints I would have with the park. A: They need more shade. There is way too much sunlight here which is not good on those super hot Italian summer days. B: They need more water fountains. Again, its a very hot Italian summer day and I only found two water fountains in the entire park. Its not a very big park, but I still wish they had more water fountains. But then again, this is something that I found all throughout Europe. Its much harder to find a water fountain in Europe than in the U.S. So yeah. Aside from more shade and more water, I don't see anything else for this park to fix. They have some really good rides including Shock, which I loved, and some really good theming. Not to mention they have the coolest park theme song ever. I do hope that this park has a great future. Anyways, onto the photos. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZ70HUx396A Time for us to go to our first real park of the trip!!! Oh, and on the drive there, we passed by this really cool building. Well wherever we're going, they have these great solar panels to help power the place and bring shade to your car so you don't physically burn yourself trying to drive away. Ooh!!! A coaster that isn't a pathetic kiddy credit whoring machine!!! Yep!!! We're here at Rainbow Magicland!!!! All right. Lets first start off with some ERT on Cagliostro!!! Cagliostro is the parks spinning coaster. And since its mostly indoors and in the dark, I didn't know what to expect. But the park did give us lights on rides, which is very cool. But the ride itself is fairly lame. It doesn't really do all to much, nor does it really spin a lot. Well the park is now open and here they are doing their opening dance number which includes the amazing Rainbow Magicland song. If you haven't seen the video I posted of the song right above, watch it right now. Why don't more parks sell Nutella. Mmm. Italian Gelato. *drool* Yep!!! Its time to get on the star attraction of the park. Shock. Now we supposed to get ERT on it before the park opened, but it was having some problems. But when it did open up, they still gave us the ERT!!! YAY!!!! Dude. SHOCK IS F*CKING AMAZING!!!! Shock pretty much has everything you want in a good coaster. Shock has it all. The launch is powerful and fast, the big hill provides some nice ejector air, and the non-inverting loop is a crazy element that has both airtime, and great laterals. And Holy Crap!!! This turn is just insane!!! You WHIP through it at ridicously fast speeds!!!! Yeah. You pull quite a lot of G Forces right here. And then we have the final inversion. You get some seriously wicked hangtime here. Yeah. Good speed, Great Airtime, Great Hangtime, Insane Laterals, Great Whip. Great ride. 2 thumbs up. Since this park has no shade and barely any water fountains, this was a very nice sight to see. All right. Time for another credit. Yay!!! A Vekoma Roller Skater!!! Not only that, but its one of the big models too. I rode the big model now, I just had to fly out to Italy to do it. You have no idea how happy I am to be riding yet another Wacky Worm. All right. Just one last credit for us to get at Rainbow Magicland. And yep. It is indeed a Vekoma Mine Train. Meh, its fun. But can I go back on Shock now? WATER!!!! I FOUND WATER!!!! ITS A MIRACLE!!!! Now please leave me here for a good 5 minutes. This was a fun drop tower, though I did feel that the brakes were too harsh. Seriously, I've had smoother cliff jumping landings than on this thing. Can someone please explain to me what the hell was going on in that shooting dark ride? Dude!!! The dining options here are fantastic!!! I wish more American Parks had stuff like this for lunch!!! This may very well be one of the best themed water rides I've ever been on. SPLOOSH!!!!!! I was impressed with their Shoot-The-Chutes. Lets see how well their rapids ride turns out. Dude, from my experience working at Roaring Rapids at SFMM and then riding this, the differences in saftey standards are astounding. First off, the ride has no seatbelts, and EVERYONE is standing up, and nobody cares since its not against the rules. Yes please, I do want to take the bizzare Rainbow Magicland Cat home with me. What the hell are you talking about? Of course this merchandise is family friendly!!! Ok, lets see what the hell this dark ride is all about. Umm, its some sort of weird bizarre Peter Pan sort of knock off. YAY!!!!! All right. Time to get some great ariel shots from the flying island. Yeah. I'm pretty sure this was supposed to be a dark ride section, but they didn't have the money to do it. Aww. We could've been at the Fashion District instead. Why didn't we go there!! Well, we had a great day at Rainbow Magicland, but now we have a long drive out to Rimini. But hey. It was a really great drive that included real nice mountains. Beautiful Italian Beaches. And I even managed to see a real castle!!! Well, we made it to Rimini!!! Later, a group of us hung out and had a fun night at the local bar. Fiabilandia and Rimini photos will be up soon. XII
All right. We're now on Day 4 of the trip, and todays definitely one of the slower and more relaxed days of the trip. We spent some of the day at a small park called Fiabilandia. Not too much is here other than some of the longest and most glorified Wacky Worms out there. Most Wacky Worms are just plopped down like a carnival. But these have unique layouts and theming. These are the real deal when it comes to Wacky Worms. They also have a Fabbri Spinning Mouse that ran a really good program. Other than that, it was just a few dark rides and some kiddy rides. We were originally planning on staying till 4:00, but around 12:30 or 1:00, we voted that we had spent enough time there and left. A big group of us later decided to go out to lunch at a local pizza place and check out the small beach town of Rimini. After taking a break doing that, a good chunk of the group hopped on the bus and we went off to some local park called Santa Fe that had a pseudo-credit. I didn't care either way if we'd get it since I don't count it, I was just in it to hang out with people and have fun. But sure enough, thanks to Robb & Elissa's great skills, we got it. We then had a great dinner at the hotel with some really good food and unlimited wine. I really enjoyed this day as it took a much slower pace than other days and I got to check out the really nice beach town of Rimini. Anyway, onto the photos. All right. Luckily, today was our relaxing day of the trip with only a small park and time to spend enjoying Rimini, so we had a late morning, which after last night, was needed. The hotel we stayed at was very nice and all, though one complaint that I have with this hotel is that these elevators are pathetically small. So much so that I never even bothered, I just carried all my luggage up the stairs. But from what I heard, these puny elevators are fairly common in Europe, though this was the only hotel on the trip with them. Though in more good news about this hotel, they literally serve pie for breakfast!!! Now thats my kind of breakfast. Lots of fun was had here last night. Ooh!!! You have to take an escelator to get to this park!!! Fascinating!!!! Yep. We're here at Fiabilandia today. First ride of the day would indeed be the ghost train. Fiabilandia recognizes the loneliness of their audience and is supplying pet rocks for those truly lonely. Hats. One of the greatest threats to amusement parks around the globe. I hope I brought some spare underwear with me cause this ghost train is so scary that it'll literally scare the sh*t out of you. All right. Time for the first credit of the day. This looks like yet another Wacky Worm. WRONG!!! This is one of the longest and coolest wacky worms ever. "What do you mean no strollers allowed!!!?" "I know that this ride was meant for people just my size." Ooh. Look at all the stuff this Wacky Worm does!!! Ooh. I wonder what this could be. Why do I end up riding this ride every single year? First several CA Fairs and Castle Park, so I go all the way to Europe and this ride just had to follow me there. But hey. It was running great and spinning like crazy. So I can't complain. This is the most original statue ever built. You will never see this anywhere else in the world. Didn't someone ask if European Parks have American themed areas? Someone give me some bread for me to feed to these geese. All right. Time for us to get the final credit needed here. Yeah. This is pretty much just another super long Wacky Worm with a Western Theme. Hey. It does look like a fun ride. You see those trims right there? They are HORRIBLE!!!! They COMPLETELY stop you and TOTALLY kill all of the potential that the ride has to offer!!! Yeah, I know its a kiddy coaster. Yeah, I know that it was mostly just looking cool. But man. I just hate that trim so much. "I would like to give Fiabilandia an award for high concern for saftey and great measures taken to protect guests." Meh, these slides are fun and all, but just wait till you see the slides we'll be doing later in the trip. Do you get wet on this ride? Damn!!! My plans have been ruined. =( So this is what the inside of a dragon looks like. I guess all those Biology Textbooks were wrong. All right. Our time at Fiabilandia is now over. Now we get to relax and hang out in Rimini. And look. Our hotel is giving away free apples. Awesome!!! First things first. A big group of us all decided to go out to lunch. Dude!!! This place was awesome!!! After lunch, we all decided to go check out our hotels private beach. Here I am sticking my feet in the Adrian Sea. Yay!!! New Sea Credit!!! These Rimini beaches are fantastic. They totally beat the crap out of our local Ventura Beaches. Thanks for having it when we're gone. >=( Worst Abbey Road Impersination Ever. All right. Later that evening, we all decided to go look for this tiny little park called Santa Fe because they have a powered coaster so the cheaters can get a new psuedo credit. I joined in not because I care about riding this not-a-credit, but because I'd be with fun people, and it'd be a fun adventure. YAY!!! With a €50 bribe, we managed to get on the ride!!!! One of the highest quality rides on the trip. One of the highest quality rides on the trip. My count may not have gone up, but I had fun acting like an idiot. All right. Time for our hotel dinner with a great view of Rimini. Ooh. Lets see what we'll be served. Dude. This dinner was AWESOME!!!!! Oh, and the dinner came with unlimited wine. I'm not really a wine person, but hey. They had some really good wine here. "I am so gonna get diabetes!!!" Mirabilandia photos will be up soon. XII
All right. Time for the next update of the trip. Todays park was my favorite park of the Italy Portion of the trip and a general favorite of mine. Mirabilandia. I loved this place. Ok, lets state the obvious reason first. Katun and Ispeed are amazing. Seriously, these are two of the greatest coasters ever and they're both right here for you to enjoy in Mirabilandia. Katun is a good old fashioned forceful B&M. It ranks up there with Montu as one of my favorite B&M Inverted Coasters. And Ispeed, good god. This ride is amazing. Good Launch. Great Airtime. Great Laterals. Insane Heartline Rolls. It's definitely in my Top 5. But on top of that, its just a really good park. They have a wide variety of rides to enjoy, a really good water coaster thats a lot of fun and really helpful in the Italian Heat, and its just got a lot to do. I found it to be a great park and would highly recommend it to anyone in Italy. Not only will you love Katun and Ispeed, but the rest of the park is really good as well. Anyways, onto the photos. All right. Time for us to hit the best park in Italy. Mirabilandia. I'm definetly hoping we'll get on Divertical today. Though rides that literally just opened a few days ago tend not to be so reliable. Welcome to Mirabilandia. Home to two of the best coasters on the planet. Both of which, we have ERT on!!!! Yes please. I would love a half hour of ERT on Katun. Yeah. The theming on this ride is awesome. And yeah. Just as expected, Katun is freaking amazing!!!! Its practically an Italian Montu. A great ride and it managed to make it on my Top 10 Steel Coasters List. And now we come to the other star attraction of the park. "This ride is so good I delibrately planned it out as my 150th credit!!!!" (Coincidentally, Ispeed just happened to turn out to be my 300th credit. I just never bothered posting a sign or doing any nerdy thing. And yes, it really was an unplanned coincidence!!! I'm not lying!!!! I swear!!!!!!) THIS RIDE IS AMAZING!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!! Ispeed not only made it onto my Top 10 Steel Coasters List, but it made it into the Top 5. Do not underestimate this airtime hill. You get some SERIOUS ejector air here. And this heartline spin? Expect some of the most insane whipping on any ride. All right. Time to start the credit whoring. "Dude, we were just riding two Top 10 Coasters. Riding anything else at this point would pretty much be considered credit whoring." Though by kiddy coaster standards, it was fun. There is a very interesting story behind the theming of these drop towers. They opened up in the 90s and it was called the Twin Towers. However, they immedietly changed that after 9/11. So they decided to retheme it to Space Shuttle Columbia. Time for the next credit. Oh joy. Its a wild mouse. Dude!!! This thing is truely crazy!!! It literally tried to beat the crap out of you!!! And I liked that about it. Oh yeah. Let me talk about the V-Pass Wristband. Best Flashpass Option ever. You just show the wristband and you immedietly get on the ride. And they have it for all of the rides here!!!! Are you guys suffering from Heat Stroke? Cause you do realize that this is NOT a credit. It was a fun ride. But it was not a credit. "Hey!!! We don't take kindly to your kind around here!!!" Hey. While we're here. Lets take another ride on Katun. Why? How about because its freaking awesome!!! "Water Water Everywhere. We're gonna get wet." Well, since we're already wet and its like 100 degrees outside and we don't have to wait in line, lets check out their rapids ride. Those water cannons would be a lot more fun if it was cold outside today. Really? There's an issue with swinging the boats!!!? Well, its only a matter of time before some dumbass learns how to swing the Roaring Rapids boats and I'll have to end up yelling at them about it. These types of rides are always more fun witht the cover. Dammit!!! Master Thai broke down and they're evacuating it. Not sure if we're gonna be able to get it in today. Hmm. I wonder what Phobia could be? Dude!!! Its a year round haunted house. Yeah, its an upcharge!!! But who cares!!! Lets try it out!!! It was actually a really great haunted house. Though a funny thing about haunted houses in Europe is the fact that you all have to go through it in a conga line. =/ Why can't we have more lunches like this in American Theme Parks? HOLY CRAP!!!! DIVERTICAL IS OPEN!!! GET ON IT NOW BEFORE IT BLOWS UP!!!! At first, Divertical just looks like a Pilgrims Plunge clone. But upon a closer look, you can see that its a full water coaster and does indeed count as a credit. And its a fun ride for that matter. SPLOOSH!!!! All right. Lets check out their shooting dark ride, Reset. Dude, between the destroyed Apocalypse New York City shooting dark ride and the World Trade Center themed Drop Tower, this park really must not like New York City. Meh. I guess thats a good score for this ride. But then again, when have I ever been good at shooting dark rides? Hell no!!! We are not leaving Mirabilandia without getting more rides in on Ispeed. This really is the Maverick of Europe. Dude!!! Its a log flume themed to cars!!! Maybe cramming 5 of us into a boat wasn't such a smart idea. So for the stunt show, they actually had Robb and Elissa partake in the craziness of the show!!! I would've loved to stay and see the show... But Master Thai just opened back up and I had to get the credit before the bus left in an hour!!! I really hope the credit whore inside me really appreciates this since I gave up watching what sounded like a great stunt show so I could get this sh*tty credit. Ok, Master Thai was a peice of sh*t. But hey, we have Katun right next door to wash it out of our mouths. Aww. I really don't want to leave. This park is awesome!!! =( But hey. At least we're off to a really nice hotel. I challenge you to one of the most extreme and powerful games on the planet. Air Hockey. There, we tried what I consider to be my least favorite drink ever. Grappe, which is basically an Italian version of Moonshine. The look on Robb's face pretty much sums up my thoughts on the drink. Hope you enjoyed this update and Movieland Studios will be up soon. XII
All right. Time for the next park of the trip and man was this a crazy park. Movieland Studios is definitely a very interesting place. It, and its adjacent water park, Aqua land Studios are both extremely awesome and contain several crazy rides. The closest I can come to describe these parks is if you took Universal Studios Hollywood and Wild Rivers, put them next door to each other, upped the awesomeness by 100, and then both parks decided to just throw up their arms and say "F*CK SAFTEY AND F*CK COPYRIGHT LAWS!!!" That's the closest thing I can come up with, and even that doesn't fully capture the craziness of these parks. Aside from being totally crazy, this park may not be huge on roller coasters, but it does feature several unique rides that can't easily be found at other parks. Stuff like a crazy Tram Tour, a Vekoma Wacky Flip, an Intamin 1st Generation Freefall, and probably the most insane water slide ever. Why talk any more about this park. Lets get on with the photos. Oh yeah.If you haven't seen Robb's wipeout video, I highly recommend you check it out as this shows just how insane the slide is, plus I was on the wipeout tube. Good morning Gardaland Hotel. Hows it going. Today we're going to be at Movieland Studios. Yeah. Here you can see all that this place and the water park have to offer. All right, first off, we started out the day with our very own exclusive ride on Magma. This is pretty much a knock off of the Tram Ride @ Universal Studios Hollywood. Ooh!!! Fire!!!!! Dude, this thing does so many insane things that the Tram Tour wouldn't even DREAM of doing. All right, now we get our own exclusive ride on Hollywood Tower. Gee, I wonder what ride they're hoping to imitate here? I've never seen font or signs like that anywhere before. I really miss Freefall right now. Intamin 1st Generation Freefalls are so rare and so hard to come by these days that getting on this was a real treat today. I'm sure that they have all the rights to those characters right there. After all that, they also gave us an exclusive ride on their only credit, Bronto Jet. Much like Hollywood Tower, it was one of the last of its kind and very rare. So it was nice to get an exclusive ride on it. Hey, they're really fun. I definetly wish they were at more parks. Love the setting of Movieland Studios right along Lake Garda. They also gave us exclusive rides on their psuedo credit, Bronto Ring so the pathetic people who count powered coasters wouldn't have to emberass themselves. All right. After all our exclusive rides, we decided to hop onto U-571, or as I called it, Drowning: The Ride. BRING IT ON!!!!! Yeah. This ride is freaking insane. Awesome!!! Another year round horror house. It was mostly confusing as I kept getting lost in the dark. "Nonsense. You'll all be fine. Just get in a conga line and follow me." *evil laugh* All right. Lets all hop on Tomb Raider. Hmm. Just looks like an ordinary Top Spin. Nope. Its actually a Vekoma Wacky Flip, which does way more crazy stuff than just a normal top spin. All right. Time for lunch at the Rodeo Grill. And with our lunch, we got unlimited soda, beer, and wine. Considering how rare unlimited drinks are in Europe and how hot it is in Italy, this was especially appreciated. Yeah. This is a pretty good lunch. And thank you for this free merchandise. I really like the Snowglobe you gave me. "I'm just riding a Mechanical Bull while drinking a beer. Nothing can possibly go wrong here." All right. Lets see how well I can do here. Not bad. I'm hanging on for some time. DAMMIT!!!! I'M DOWN!!!! But hey. At least I got a good time. Now its time to check out their water park, Aqualand Studios. These weird spermish water drops welcome you to Aqualand Studios. Here you can see construction on their newest slide. Black Hole. Looks like its going to be a fun slide. This is probabably a good thing for us to know. But enough touring around. Its time for us to look at the star attraction and my favorite water slide of all time. Twin Peaks. You first start out by going down this big steep drop. Yeah. You gain a lot of speed right here. And then...AIRTIME!!!!! This moment right here is seriously insane. If the photos I took don't show how much airtime you can get on this slide, then take a look at this photo that Hanno took. That should really show the craziness of this slide (Like I said, Photo by Hanno). But Twin Peaks isn't the only crazy waterslide they have here. They also have the Water Jump. Yeah. You really make a BIG splash on the Water Jump. It really reminded me of Bombay Blasters @ Wild Rivers, which was AWESOME!! There's one last crazy slide for us to check out. Stuka's Boom. This looks like just an ordinary drop slide. But nope. This one has a trap door, which makes it much more exciting. All right. Now we're gonna see the Rambo Show. TPR Members!!! You're all under arrest!!!! "Once again, we at Movieland Studios would like remind everyone to please keep all sexual activities to yourselves. Please wait till you get to your hotel rooms to butt-f*ck each other. Thank you." "This is all your fault. If it wasn't for your..." "Shut up before we get raped like the girl that was here earlier." "Give me the TPR Members!!!!" Yes. Having real explosions in the stunt show is a great idea. What could possibly go wrong!!? Yes, the TPR Prisoners are behind that wall of water. Yay!!! We didn't die!!! Sorry about kidnapping you and arresting you. We hope this Frappachino makes up for all we put you through. Thank you Rambo. Now we know that we are all destined to be famous Hollywood Actors someday. Dude!!! Check out the Back to the Future Monorail!!!! "I'm not lying!!! It really is a Back to the Future Monorail!!!" OMG!!! We're going back in time!!! There's so many things I have to warn myself about!!! Bronto Jet from the monorail. Anyone want to get wet? Ooh. Something unsafe. Must take picture. All right. Time to check out Terminator 3D while we're still here. This is the guy who's gonna save us all. We're f*cked. Hmm. Not a bad score. Gardaland Photos will be up next. XII
All right. Time for the next park and the final park of the Italy portion of the trip. Gardaland. We actually had 2 days at this park as Robb got us 2 day tickets so we could go after our day at Movieland Studios since the park stayed open till 10:00 (which is not common in Europe). While this park didn't have the intense coasters of Mirabilandia or the general craziness of Movieland Studios right next door, I still found Gardaland to be a very nice park. It had a good selection of rides, including a B&M Wingrider. While these aren't the craziest rides out there, they certainly are a lot of fun. And the water effects on Raptor really do make a difference. None of the other coasters are that good (SLC, Loopscrew, Screaming "Pointless" Squirrel), but there is still a lot of cool things to check out at this park. They've got some really cool dark rides such as a Pirates of the Caribbean Knockoff thats in some ways, better than Pirates, and a totally fun dark ride about shooting Mummy Zombie Alien Terminator Robots in Ancient Egypt. But on top of that, there's just a lot to do at this park. You can tell that its trying to be the Disneyland of Italy, and while I wouldn't call Gardaland Disney Good, its still a very good park that I'd definitely recommend. Oh, and here's a POV of that crazy dark ride with Mummy Terminators. Ooh!!! They're passing out free Coke Zero Samples!!! Hey. You can't go wrong with anything thats free. Does that count as a credit? After our day at Movieland Studios, we had two day tickets to Gardaland and the park was open till 11:00, so we decided to just hang out and get some stuff done. Ooh!!! I see a roller coaster!!!! Welcome to Gardaland. Of course we're gonna hit this up first. All right. So this was my first B&M Wingrider. What did I think? Honestly, I was impressed. I was expecting a forceless ride. And while its not insane, its just a ton of fun. Enjoy your ride on Raptor!!! No need for Fastpass tonight. It looks like we're gonna be fine. All right. Lets just get this out of the way as quickly as possible. This is no ordinary SLC. This one has the BONUS HELIX!!!!!!! Though in all seriousness, it wasn't that bad. Damn. We're on a roll with Vekoma Rides tonight. Hey. This was a really good mine train. And well themed as well. Is that seriously the size of their drop tower? Come on Gardaland!!!! This is puny!!!! Well at least it has a cool themed line. We decided to see the Ice Age show. It was cool, though it would've been better if I spoke Italian, or had any familiarity with the Ice Age Movies. For instance, I had no clue that the female wooly mammoth was pregnant until she went into labor and I was like "It looks like..." Boom. Baby Wooly Mammoth. We decided to check out their shooting dark ride. Ramses. This dark ride is awesome. Its like Mummy meets Terminator. See my POV up above and see for yourself. Ooh. Trippy. WHO MISSED THE BUS!!!? All right. We're up nice and early the next morning. For its time for... ERT ON RAPTOR!!!!!! Its no Kumba or anything, but its a ton of fun. Its very fun and very floaty with lots of hangtime. It almost reminds me of Hydra @ Dorney Park in a way, except with much better theming and it actually gets you more wet than the water rides. Kick the sky!!!! Oops, wrong Raptor. Sorry Cedar Point. Honestly, my only problem with this ride are the restraints. I was expecting just a rubber vest similar to that on Tatsu. But these things keep stapling you in, never giving you a chance to breathe. Oh yeah. We also have ERT on Sequoia Adventure. Umm, what exactly does this ride do? Oh joy. That looks so thrilling. It wouldn't even that bad if it weren't for all the trim brakes that make it crawl. Hey, at least its a credit. Oh yeah. And Gardaland gave us all these personalized key chains. Grazi Gardaland!!! Grazi!!!! Time to get some nice ariel shots of Gardaland. I love the setting of this park. Thank you Fastpass!!!! Good bye Line!!!! Its a fun water ride, but yeah. Its a water ride. NOT A CREDIT!!!!! Ooh. Lets take a ride on their Monorail. Ooh. Look at all the pretty lights. I'm confused. Where am I again? Ooh. They have a Vekoma Mad House in the kids area. These things are all over Europe. Hey. Nice looking kids area. This is so politically correct. I'm sure that all those kids are proper representations of their cultures. All right. Time for lunch. And yeah, they have a great selection at Gardaland. Oh, time for another America vs Europe Comparison. FANTA IS SO MUCH BETTER IN EUROPE!!! Seriously, American Fanta tastes like crap now. I refuse to drink it till I go back to Europe or somewhere else in the world. Now everyones told me that its because they use real sugar instead of High Fructose Corn Syrup. And yeah, I'm sure they do that and that helps. But thats not just it. Because its a MUCH bigger difference than that. Its much bigger than when they do Pepsi and Mountain Dew Throwbacks and use real sugar. I think someone once said that they use real orange juice in European Fanta. Now that I believe since it tastes so much orangier than in America. Time for their kiddy coaster. If you thought that this was just an ordinary Wacky Worm, you'd be mistaken. Its actually a lot of fun and has a great layout. Great for a kiddy coaster. Just one last credit for me to get at Gardaland. Magic Mountain. And its properly themed to SFMM, with all the ads in the station. Hey. At least they're upselling a great product. Definetly one of the better Loopscrews. Not too rough and actually had some decent airtime. I actually enjoyed it. "Hey David!!! It's ok to eat me!!! I'm vegan!!!!" Yeah. This wasn't one of the greatest log flumes or anything. But I had fun. Um, yeah. This Spongebob Simulator was rough as hell. Lets take another ride on Raptor. Because hey. Why not!!!!? WATCH OUT FOR THAT TREE!!!! "We've got special plans for him at Guantanamo Bay. *evil laugh*" Yeah. We did the hedge maze. Cause hey!!! Why not!!! It can't be that hard. Thanks for the ever-so-helpful advice. *rolls eyes* We all made it out. Well, except for Colin who had to cheat to get out. Hey, these are fun and they have a nice theme, but they're not gonna help you escape the Italian heat. All right. Time to check out the parks Pirates of the Carribean knock off, Icorsari. Dude!!! This thing was awesome!!! It was almost better than the real Pirates of the Carribean in some ways!!! Hey look!!! Another totally family friendly moment to share with everyone!!! Yeah. It goes under the sea. Its very strange in that way. Speaking of really strange dark rides, lets hit up Ramses again!!!! Grr!!! I'm the Mummy Terminator!!! I'm from the past but also from the future!!! So I guess that means I'm from the present I guess!!! Gimme a Pizza Party!!!! Ooh. Look at the pretty lights. Yeah. Space Vertigo has a funky fast pass door. Come on Gardaland. This ride is so small that its nearly cliff jumpable!!! You can totally make it bigger!!! Hey. We may have used up all our Raptor Fastpasses, but we can still get on thanks to the Single Riders Line. Yeah. I'm pretty sure that night rides on Raptor is the best way to close out my fantastic visit to Gardaland and Italy in general. Switzerland & Walygator Photos will be posted soon. XII
All right. It's been a while since the last update of this Photo TR was done, and since I want to finish this before a year passes between the trip, I better get started now. So at this point, the TPR Italy Trip officially ended and now we are onto the TPR Europe Trip. We said good bye to a few friends from Italy and hello to a lot more coming in for the Europe Trip. For the first day of the trip, not too much happened since it was just a driving day. But hey, we drove through Switzerland, which is so beautiful that its the equivalent of literally driving through a post card. You look out the window, snap a picture, and now you have a great photograph. This goes on for hours until you reach France and it stops being beautiful. After reaching the hotel, we got to unpack and get a nice dinner from the hotel. The next day was the first day of the Europe Trip where we got to go to ride roller coasters, and today we were going to be at two different parks. Walygator Parc and Holiday Park. Walygator wasn't originally on the itinerary, but Robb added it on so we could a couple more credits, which as a credit whore, I am always in favor of. Especially when one of them is a kickass Raptor clone. But yeah, aside from the Raptor clone, there isn't much here other than some crappy credits, a few generic flat rides, and the French Equivalent of Grizzly @ CGA, which while not as bad as I was anticipating, still seriously blew. After the few hours we had here, I was more than ready to move on and get to Holiday Park and ride Expedition Ge Force, but I was still glad we stopped for the credits, especially the Raptor clone which was awesome, so Thank you Robb & Elissa for squeezing this onto the itinerary. Now onto the photos. Well, the Italy portion of TPR's Mega Europe Trip has ended. Now I loved Italy and the Italy parks were all awesome. So its sad to leave. But hey. Look at the bright side. Now I get to check out all the awesome parks in Germany and France. But to say good bye to Italy, here's some photos of a beautiful Italian Town I drove by. Ok. We are now in Switzerland. Now Switzerland isn't one of the official countries of the trip. Those would be Italy, Germany, and France. But we did drive through Switzerland. Now normally just because we drive through somewhere, that means jack-sh*t. But just being in Switzerland is amazing. Just driving through it is incredible and makes me happy. I mean look at that!!! Bonus Stop at the Waterpark anyone? No need for any movies or TV Shows to play on the bus. Just look out the window. We decided to stop for lunch at this Rest Stop so we wouldn't starve and to just get out and enjoy Switzerland. Now for as much as I love Switzerland, theres one part I can't stand. HIGH PRICES!!!!! THIS COUNTRY IS SO FREAKING EXPENSIVE!! A plate of spaghetti and a coke cost me €19!! That's the equivelant of $23.35!! Hey, the rest stop may have robbed me, but look!!! Such a beautiful view of the Alps!!!! Its so green over here. Can't stop taking photos of Switzerland!!! So f*cking beautiful!!!! Every photo I take looks like it should be on a post card. Ok. The beautys all gone. We must be in France now. Ok, its not terrible. It sure as hell beats driving through any of the Midwest States, but come on. We were just in Switzerland. We have arrived at our hotel. And hey, it looks like a nice quaint little place. They served us a really nice dinner which I really enjoyed. Yes. I really did mix Coke and Wine. And it actually tasted really good. Think of a sort of slightly bitter Coke that has a strong wine flavored aftertaste (Nice photo-bomb BTW Patrick). Something tells me that that stray cat is carrying some sort of diseases. In preperation for us riding what is claimed as one of the worst woodies in the world, Anaconda, Terrance says a prayer for us hoping that it won't murder us. YAY!!!! WE'RE AT A PARK!!! It's been over 24 hours, I'm starting to have withdrawls. Big shock. The Space Shot and the Topple Tower are both closed. Hey, you may hate us now for locking you in the phone booth, but you'll thank us when we all come back injured from Anaconda ERT. Busy day I see. All right. Lets go head into the park. Eew. Another Malaria Lake. Is that theming or did a plane really crash here? All right. Time for us to get some ERT on the main coaster here. Monster. Monster, which came from Expoland in Japan, is basically a Raptor clone. And Raptor is awesome, the only difference is that there are no mid course brakes here!!!! Yeah. That makes it a really crazy ride!!! I loved it!!! Now after that, we get ERT on one of the worst coasters of all time. Anaconda. Keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't kill us. "Somehow, I have a feeling that I'm going to be raped." Well the good news is that Anaconda didn't kill us. The bad news, is that Anaconda, or as I like to call it, French Grizzly is one of the most boring coasters of all time. I swear to god, the continents are moving away from each other at faster speeds than this thing. Hey. After Anaconda, this Wacky Worm is actually going to be thrilling. Oh No!!! I just realized that this is the last Wacky Worm of the trip!!!! ='( Time for us to get the last credit of the park, Space Comet. Yeah. It sucks. But at least its not Anaconda. The Terror House was not in the least way terrifying. But apparently the girls in front of us were scared, which made this a very funny experience. With this closed, and the other two Topple Towers closed, this seems to be an extinct ride. While I'm not too bummed as the ride did look boring from videos, I did want to try it just because it was unique and it probably would've at least been interesting and somewhat fun. Don't worry. I'm on a TPR Trip. I'm clearly happy. Holiday Park Photos will be up next. Thanks for reading and please leave your comments.
cfc
Looks like Monster has replaced Terror House as the best attraction at Walygator.
Gilly
Come on Gardaland. This ride is so small that its nearly cliff jumpable!!! You can totally make it bigger!!! Well, they can't. There is some kind of a height restriction for buildings around Garda Lake (30m I think). It's fun anyways, right?
GeorgeT
Great report...love your comments. More please

XII
All right, after a fun morning of credit whoring at Walygator Parc, we were off to our next park. Holiday Park. And yes, Expedition Ge Force is as good as everyone claims. Its got great ejector air, good floater air, strong laterals, and a great first drop. Its got nearly everything. Its Definitely in my Top 5 Coasters. And honestly, I was impressed with the rest of Holiday Park. The other coasters while not amazing, were at least fun. It had a good selection of other attractions including a decent sized Starflyer, a good drop tower, and a cool dark ride. All right. Now onto the photos. Well after a fun morning at Walygator, we went over to Germany so we could check out Holiday Park. Hmm. The park really looks nice. I see Plopsa made some nice changes to the park. Well there's only one main reason we decided to come to Holiday Park. Yep!!! To check out their mascot Holly the Parrot!!!! Actually what we really came for is just over here. Yeah. We came to ride Expedition G Force. Yeah. I know we have ERT on it later tonight, but we're gonna still wait in the 20 minute line for it now. Mostly for two reasons. 1: I'm antsy since I've been f*cking wanting to ride this coaster for years and after years and years of waiting, I'm not going to wait a couple more hours. And 2: I'm getting an insurance ride in incase the ride decides to blow up and ERT has to be cancelled. But hey. That's a very unlikely scenario. But with a ride this good, you don't want to risk it. The park must have known we were coming today. All right. Its time to ride this thing. Dude. That is one of the best first drops ever. An insane assload of laterals and ejector air!!! And hey. After that insanity just comes some really long goes on forever floater air. But don't you worry about the lack of laterals. We've got that covered on this ride as well. These overbanks are very much like the one on Bizarro @ Six Flags New England where the curves are also really tight and have a whip to them and aren't just fun cruiser elements like on Xcelerator and Millenium Force. And yeah. These bunny hops deliver a TON of airtime. What is up with the girl in white? And whys the guy in the back starring off to the side? Ok. Lets go check out the rest of the park starting with their dark ride. Ok, so I'm not exactly sure what this dark ride is about. I just see these two together. OH NO!!!! BOOBS!!!! PROTECT THE CHILDREN FROM THE HORRORS!!!!! All right. Lets just focus on getting the other two credits here. Yeah. After Expedition Ge Force, this is what we have to suffer through. Though to be fair to the ride, this was by far the best Vekoma Corkscrew that I had been on. It was fast and not that rough. I had fun. Now we just need to focus on the other credit. Hollys Wilde Auto-Fahrt. Yeah. Its just another Wild Mouse. Nothing special. Much like the Corkscrew, this thing was running great. It was completely trimless and running like a bat out of hell. Hey look!!! The Starflyer here actually has some height to it!!! It actually feels intense!!!! I loved it!!!! I've heard good things about this log flume. And yeah. Its got a nice theme, a fun little backwards section, and a cool double drop. Yeah, this is a good one. Ok, lets get some dinner in before we head over for our ERT. Hey look!!! Club Cool was right!!! They really do have Mezzo Mix in Germany!!! Funny how I never saw a single Beverly in all of Italy, and now I constantly see Mezzo Mix in Germany. Dude. The Schnitzel they have in this park is just fantastic. Yeah, Great Schnitzel, Fries, and High Quality German Beer sounds like a good dinner to me. Oh no. It didn't happen. SH*T!!!!! EXPEDITION GE FORCE BROKE DOWN RIGHT BEFORE OUR ERT!!!! AND IT BROKE DOWN GOOD!!!!!! =( But they opened up the Drop Tower for us while they tried fixing Expedition G Force. It was a good drop tower, but from what I've been told, it was rethemed to some random British Kids Show. I have no idea what its about, but I already hate it. There. That makes the show much better. While the parks maintenence crew was doing their damn best job to fix the ride for us, the park treated us to complementary ice cream and muffins. "Hey, I may have missed Expedition Ge Force since I was too busy drinking beer, but look at this way. Now I can drink even more beer!!!!" "DAMN YOU INTAMIN GODS!!!!!!" Ooh. Everyones lined up. This should be good. OOH!!! THEY MADE PROGRESS!!! WE JUST MIGHT GET OUR ERT AFTER ALL!!!!! After a couple test runs, it broke down again and it would take even more time, so yeah. We couldn't wait any more and had to just leave. Yeah, it sucks. But hey, thats just life. Nasty Sh*t happens. And I want to thank Holiday Park for providing the ice cream, beer, and muffins and for doing their damn best they could to get it fixed. Well I'll definetly be back to get some more Expedition Ge Force rides since it is one of my favorite coasters ever and this park is just awesome in general. Thanks for reading and please post your comments. Europa Park will be up next.
XII
All right. Getting back to doing these updates for this Photo TR since I still want to reach my deadline of finishing this before a year passes between the trip and I'm running out of time, so I better keep posting these updates. Anyways, its time for the highlight of the trip. Europa Park. This park is just absolutely amazing. I came in with very high expectations and the park still blew me away. There is not a single bad element about the park. All of the coasters are good, they have tons of fun dark rides, the theming in the park is of the same quality if not higher than Disney, its super clean, the employees are super friendly, the operations are some of the best in the world. Everything good to say about a theme park, I have to say about Europa Park. It totally ranks up there as one of my favorite theme parks of all time. Now onto the photos. All right. After our fun evening at Holiday Park, we were off to stay at Europa Park's on site hotel, the Hotel Colloseo. Ooh. Nice Wodan Model you got there. Well lets go to our rooms and put our stuff away. Damn. These rooms are NICE!!!!!!! You may have thought that we just went to bed, but nope. We hit the bar for some fun. Good morning. The Hotel Colloseum really had a good breakfast. All right. Time to head on over to Europa Park. Yeah. We'll be taking the secret hotel entrance to the park today. When you see the bull's balls, you know you're in the right place. First off, we start off our morning with Blue Fire ERT. After our Blue Fire ERT, we decided to check out the rest of the park. And while we're here. Why the hell not ride the powered coaster. Hey, it may not count as a credit, but it was a lot of fun. Not knowing what the hell it was, we decided to try out the Bibliothek der Brothers Grimm. Umm, yeah. This was probably the most f*cked up thing I have ever seen in a theme park. "I really love this new look. I must say, this is my favorite ride ever. I think I love it even more than beer." Apparently, they put us in the show and I was the wizard and they had to find me. Ummm, Hooray? Ok, I just have to stop and walk around to really absorb all of the beauty Europa Park has to offer. Afterwards, we decided to go and check out Euro Mir. Euro Mir has to be the biggest party ride ever. There's just no other ride like it. All right. Lets check out their Bobsled. Yeah. The Mack Bobsleds are much better than the Intamin ones. Its time to check out the parks Wild Mouse. Hey, this park hauls ass with operations. They're so good that even their Wild Mouse has good operations. And it has cool barnyard theming in line. Dude. There's a tilting elevator lift on this ride!!! AWESOME!!!!! But yeah. After the elevator, its pretty much just the typical Big First Drop Wild Mouse. Well, its gonna get a long line, so lets get Posideon out of the way. But yeah. Thanks to Europa Park's incredible operations, what would normally be a 2 hour line was only 30 minutes. And yeah. Its a really cool water coaster. Attention aileans. You are welcome at Europa Park. Umm, did I go back to Switzerland? Elissa kept raving about how good the raclette is here, so yeah. I naturally went and tried it. And yeah. Raclette is some really freaking good cheese!!! Hey look!!! Windjammer is still alive!!!! Nope. First off, its Vindjammer, and its just a pirate ship. All right. Lets check out the parks new for 2012 GCI, Wodan. Yeah. Its got a long line, but luckily, we're in Europa Park. This won't be very long. Plus its well themed too. In this mythical place a long time ago, they drank this magical substance called Coca Cola. Yeah. That first drop looks freaking amazing. "Mmm. Wodan tastes good. Now I need a beer to wash it down." This looks freaking amazing. Could this be my new favorite GCI? Nope. It was fun and all, but its not my favorite or even my 2nd favorite. The first drop is amazing, but after that, it mostly felt like Terminator. Yeah, its a really fun ride, but not quite as good as I was expecting. I did not bother with Atlantica Supersplash. Now some of you may be baffled since I'm a total credit whore, and I am. The only problem is that its not a credit, and I'd rather spend my time at Europa Park doing much better stuff. All right. Lets take a ride on their Monorail and just take a nice good look at this amazing park. I didn't eat here, but they did have a cool resteraunt that had your food ride a roller coaster to your table. Which is totally awesome. I'd like to try the place out next time. Hey look!!! A random dark ride with no line!!! Lets take a ride!!! It was a fun ride, though it felt weird riding a winter themed dark ride in the middle of summer. All right. Lets just focus on getting the rest of the credits at Europa Park. We'll get this one out of the way since it seems like a small coaster with not so great (by Europa Park standards) capacity. Hey, this was a really fun ride. It was definetly bigger than a kiddy coaster, but not quite a big coaster. It felt like a giant roller skater on steroids and is a perfect family coaster. I'm glad that there are clones of this thing at other parks. I must be hallucinating. For I seem to have morphed Europa Park into Epcot. Nope. They just host Euro Sat inside the same type of building that they have Spaceship Earth in. Ooh!! Euro Sat has its very own escelator!!! How fancy!!! All right. All we need now is Silver Star and we're done. Umm, yeah. The line for Silver Star is very strange. AKA, you're gonna be waiting forever for the front row. So yeah. How did Silver Star rank up to the other B&M Hypers? Honsetly, I wasn't that impressed. It totally reminded me of Goliath @ La Ronde. It was fun, but certainly not very strong. Cheers to getting all the credits in Europa Park. Now we can relax and just take it easy at Europa Park. Yeah. Lets go up in the Observation Tower and get some great ariel (video) shots. Hey, lets go check out the Stupid Boat Ride!!! "I've got so much to live for!!!!" Its a good thing you're in a place like Europa Park and not in a place like SFMM or else you'd be dead long ago. Well, we liked the last stupid boat ride. So lets go ride another one. "Does this thing spin or is the beer just kicking in?" Hey look!!! Its themed to Pinnochio!!!! Now when do we turn into...oh wait, we turned into jackasses long ago. Hey. Why the hell not? "Dammit. It looks like I'm finally paying for my lifesyle of living off nothing but Beer and Dunar Kebabs." Dude, these slides are actually really freaking insane. You completely fly off them. All right. Time for another cool Europa Park Dark Ride. Its this sort of weird Haunted Mansion type knock off. Yeah. Its a kick ass dark ride. Lets take another ride on Schwiezer Bobbahn. Their bobsled. Yeah. You can see the way it twists through all the turns. Look out for that tiny little river. Quick. Gotta finish my beer before I hop on the bobsled. "I see I've still got my chugging skills from my college days down." May I ask whats going on in the front row? I decided to try out the Gyros here, since they're similar to Duner Kebabs. Damn, these things kick some major ass. Hmm, more Blue Fire? I like that. I like that a lot. And yeah, Blue Fire is awesome. The launch is good. This funky turn is so slow it feels like you're going to roll back at the top. The loop is nothing special, but it is awesome since you're going through it all with just a lap bar. And then we have the final inline twist (Not the one in the picture). HOLY CRAP!!! THIS PART IS INSANE!!!! Its seriously one of the best inversions on any ride with a GREAT whip. It almost feels like Ispeed for this part. Hey!!! It looks like Europa Park decided to rescue Jaws and save him from the death that awaited him at Universal Studios Florida. GROUP TAKEOVER OF EURO MIR!!!!!!! HELL F*CKING YES!!!!!!! This ride is insane. First, you go up this huge spiral lifthill in the dark while its amazing theme song. Then you go through a ton of fun with the mirrors on the towers at the top. And the main roller coaster part is pretty crazy too with some fun drops, and actually some insane laterals at the end, especially when riding backwards. Keep holding on!!!! You'll eventually make it back up!!! After that fun Euro Mir Party, the park announced that we would be getting ERT on Wodan!!!! Yeah. It was a great 30 minutes with lots of rides in on Wodan. I'm in Europe all right. And after Wodan ERT, we went to the hotel where we had a great dinner.
