I've really been watching whatever comes on. I've watched tennis, swimming, rowing, cycling, and more. So far, it has been okay, nothing really exciting to me, as I prefer the Winter Olympics. I'm looking forward to some of the running events, especially the ones featuring Usain Bolt and Tyson Gay. I am also looking forward to the tennis finals.

 

Also, to comment on the Opening Ceremonies, I wasn't a huge fan. I thought the Industrial Revolution was really cool, but the rest of it was somewhat bad to me. I thought the Digital Age and the Bed Dance were pretty bad and the Mary Poppins/Voldemort part was really bad.

I saw some water polo and watched some of the commercials, But overall. I don't care much about sports.

Gymnstics! I got to watch most of mens qualifying, but I had to work today so missed all of the womens. So dissapointed that Jordyn Wieber got cut from the AA final due to the 2 per country rule But on the good side Canada qualified a the team final for the first time in olympic history! We have pretty much no shot to medal, but hey were getting somewhere! GO CANADA! Predictions GOLD - USA, Silver - RUSSIA, Bronze - ROMANIA (I have a feeling China will choke come finals)

 

Gymnastics is the only thing I'm invested in, but I do enjoy mens swimming and diving. I could watch those all day

Never been into sports at all. The Olympics however is the one time I really get into them. The opening ceremonies were neat, but nothing too spectacular. Seems weird how they have the flame in the middle of the stadium though.

 

Been watching whatevers being shown on the various NBC channels. Plus been watching online too. Love seeing the backstories for the various athletes, everyone's got a story. Enjoy all the sports but particularly gymnastics & track & field. Also looking forward to the Paralympic games. Those are always pretty cool too.

I really hate how NBC is broadcasting stuff in huge blocks it's really filling up the TiVo. I really did not to tape 4 hours of a bike race both Saturday and Sunday.

 

Can't wait for more men's diving.

Basketball is probably the most interesting sport to me, even though America has a huge advantage and are an odds on favorite to win it all it's fun to see NBA superstars who normally compete against each other playing together. And as a Kentucky fan it's a lot of fun to watch Anthony Davis when he gets in, I have a feeling he might end up getting more playing time before the games are over.

 

Other than basketball women's soccer is fun to watch, and I'm looking forward to wrestling whenever that takes place.

I don't usually watch the Summer Olympics but I will watch Swimming, gymnastics, and maybe a few track events.

 

I just don't enjoy watching the Olympics games on Tape delay because I find out the results before I can actually watch it.

I've seen a bit of the synchro diving and some swimming, but most of that was just short glimpses from the TV in the dining room at work when business was slow.

 

I'm more of a Winter Olympics guy anyway. More of the sports and athletes that I follow participate there.

What the hell NBC? I went to msnbc, (now nbcnews.com) and the headline at the top of the page is results of the women's gymnastics that they will not be broadcasting till tonight. Way to f-ing spoil your own programming.

^Yup, they did that multiple times. Yahoo! Sports has also done that. They gave away results of women's gymnastics and swimming before they were even shown.

I'm a little more tolerant of thee companies doing it but the same company that is tape delaying everything is now also spoiling it.

Just not into it this year. The only thing I am watching is womens soccer.

I haven't really followed any of the Olympics but one of my friends did show me this which I found to be quite humorous.

Lebron dropped a triple double last night against Australia, which really doesn't sound all that impressive considering Lebron is the best basketball player in the world (arguably ever) but I was shocked when they said it was the first triple double in USA Olympic basketball history. Of all the great players America has had compete over the years it's amazing that no one has ever had a triple double until now.

 

I still expect USA to win gold in basketball but the next game against Argentina could be entertaining. The past 2 games against Argentina have gotten a little chippy, and Louis Scola has some bad blood with several members of Team USA from previous seasons in the NBA. Even though America will probably win by about 20, Argentina won't go out without a fight maybe even a real one!
