MADtv versus SNL

The question seems simple, what would you rather watch, MADtv or SNL?

 

I myself prefer MADtv these days, SNL is becoming unfunnier by the episode and not as "classic" as the early 90's episodes. Even though MADtv is a bit cheesy, I still like it.

I've never been able to get into MADtv. Great concept, funny people but just kind of falls flat for me.

SNL was great back in the day. now it's kinda lame. they're both lame. the only reason I watch MADtv is for the sketches with Stewart.

This is a hard decision for me. Sometimes I love Mad TV and other times it is just stupid. It is no question that SNL isn't as funny as it used to be. For now, I am undecided.

SNL, but I loved it back when they had Chris Farley, Phil Hartman, Jimmy Fallon, Will Ferrell, Kevin Nealon, Chris Rock, etc. The early 90's cast was THEE shizzle!

I love MAD TV. I watch it everytime it gets on. My favorite character is "Shaun, the floor supervisor"

Used to be SNL, but it all went downhill when Will Ferrell left. My definite favourite is Mad TV. Fave character: either the gym teacher, or Aries Spears playing Shaq.

MADTV is more fun and over the top, I like the show for the fact it runs its "face characters" in more sketches (Stuart,Bae Sung,Marvin Tikvah, Bible Dude,Abercrombie Guys, ect..) great parody(any of the "educational film" sketches) and has a decent rotating cast(adv. stay is 3-4 years). SNL has lost its direction as its current casts shows. Save Seth Myers, Horatio Sans and Fred Armisted, the shows unwatchible.

I dont like SNL, it is to boring and stupid. I never laugh at SNL, but i am always laughing at MAD TV. But when MAD is over at 11:30, i watch the rest of SNL till Midnight.

Mr. Show was hilarious, though I have only seen the bleeped out versions on Comedy Central. Kids in the Hall was funny too...

^ The bleeped out versions don't do the show any justice. The entire run is out on DVD and it's definately worth getting.
