The SETGO Guys Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 (edited) I did a search and couldn't find any really nerdy threads about Numbers in Theme Parks! So I decided to start a thread where we could document them! Simple rules, I'll post a question about a theme park, your answer will be a number! (We'll start easy!) (It could be anything! Track Length,Height,Number of objects, Theoretical Capacity)(The Goal being that eventually we could get some really hard problems to solve!) Pretty Simple! If you get the answer correct, you can post the next one! QUESTION NUMBER ONE! How Many Marbles are on 1 door in the Rockin' Roller Coaster Queue at Disney's Hollywood Studios? Bonus- There are 4 doors- How many Marbles total? Answer Below! A picture of the Marble door in the Rockin' Rollercoaster line EDIT-I appreciate the Humor......I understand that is an vital part of TPR, I would however appreciate if this could be a somewhat serious thread! Thanks! Edited June 7, 2011 by The SETGO Guys
The SETGO Guys Posted June 6, 2011 Author Posted June 6, 2011 69 Try a little higher Hint- There are 2 of the panels in the picture on each door. There are 4 Doors.
TPDave Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 Assuming the whole panel is in the picture (doesn't show if the bottom or top is cut off) 34 columns 50 rows 1700/panel 3400/door 13600 Total
The SETGO Guys Posted June 6, 2011 Author Posted June 6, 2011 Assuming the whole panel is in the picture (doesn't show if the bottom or top is cut off) 34 columns 50 rows 1700/panel 3400/door 13600 Total Unfortunately that is a pretty bad picture of the door, but I will count that as correct. (Andrew and I counted a different number yesterday....I'll confirm that with him) According to a fan site On each door there are 3536 marbles for a total of 7072 There are 2 more doors in the fastpass queue so that would supposedly make 14144!----------------- Next Problem How many Vekoma SLC coasters are currently operating? How many B&M Inverted Coasters are currently operating? What is the Ratio of Vekoma SLC Coasters to B&M Inverted Coasters?
mightbeawannabe Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 1. 38 2. 29 (30 including Parc Asterix's for 2012) 3. 1.31034483 (38/29) if it's only for the operating ones, 1.42424242 (47/33) if going by all locations. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ EDIT: Just got word I solved it correctly, so here's mine. What is the total number of Vekoma standard Boomerangs produced, minus the number of Mack Wild Mouses (same model as the one, previously two at Bobbejaanland) currently operating?
Hhappy Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 pretty sure the answer is 69.. As it is the answer to everything
QueerRudie Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 The answer is 42. Deep thought told us that YEAAAARS ago. Now what was the question? (Yes, I just mega-geeked out. Get over it.)
Hhappy Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 The answer is 42. Deep thought told us that YEAAAARS ago. Now what was the question? (Yes, I just mega-geeked out. Get over it.) Love it (and the movie)
mightbeawannabe Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 (edited) 36. Right? Yes-go ahead. It's now your turn. 69 is a good number-it's just not the right number for this situation. 42 is closer-but no cigar R.D. EDIT: I don't know what I just did there-I must've been thinking about Hanno's answer! Edited June 6, 2011 by mightbeawannabe
QueerRudie Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 69 is a good number-it's just not the i right number for this situation. 42 is closer-but no cigar R.D. That's OK... Hanno got it!
imawesome1124 Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 ^ Eh, I think that it is one of the stupidest movies ever made. Anyway, my guess is 34243.
mightbeawannabe Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 ^It's already been answered correctly...36. 45 Boomerangs manufactured minus the 9 operating Mack Wild Mouses.
SoCalCoasters Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 ^ Eh, I think that it is one of the stupidest movies ever made. Anyway, my guess is 34243. That's because you didn't read the books which were amazingly funny and had copious amounts of witty comments that left you laughing.
The SETGO Guys Posted June 7, 2011 Author Posted June 7, 2011 Next problem.... If I was to combine all the Intamin Pre-fab Wooden Coasters into one giant mega-coaster !!!! What would the track-length be? The correct answer is probably not 69 As much as you'd like it to be! (If you have any suggestions for future questions, please PM them to me! I would really appreciate it!)
Hhappy Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 wait ?? what?? it is not 69?? darn it.. it has to be 42 in that case
QueerRudie Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 What about 6942? Dave GOOD ANSWER! (Perhaps that was the lost answer that Douglas Adams was going to write in the eighth book of the trilogy!)
The SETGO Guys Posted June 7, 2011 Author Posted June 7, 2011 but how about 4269??? Thats backwards 69 always comes before 42..... The Hint here is that there are 4 Intamin Pre-Fab Wooden Coasters
