ambe_bambe Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Ok people here is the question. Where have you planked in a theme park and at what park? Post your photos here and if it's not safe or against park rules i don't want to know about it and i'm sure the mods don't want to have to delete your posts. this is at Dreamworld Australia. 5 hours later i still had red mark from the deceivingly pointy teeth.
CardCraze Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 I cannot, for the life of me, figure out this planking thing. It just seems so incredibly... pointless.
eddie200330 Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 I cannot, for the life of me, figure out this planking thing. It just seems so incredibly... pointless. I am 37 years old.....am I too old to understand it? Let alone even know what in the hell you are talking about??
Inukaza Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Planking is such a stupid and idiotic thing to do. It went over the line when someone died because of it. It reflects the whole practice, even though it was only one person. Just my opinion.
ambe_bambe Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 I cannot, for the life of me, figure out this planking thing. It just seems so incredibly... pointless. Yep your right it is pointless. That's what makes it so fun. (providing you plank safely) but hey i guess if I've beeen planking for 8hrs+ a day for the last 18 years there no point in stoping it now. In all honesty i don't see a problem with if it you plank safely and do it without breaking the law.
WFChris Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Can somebody please explain what planking is before this thread gets locked? kthxbye!
ambe_bambe Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 Planking is where you lie face down in random places and get someone take a photo of you. It's really quite pointless but can make for some great stories.
BrandonR Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 For those who don't know what planking is: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=planking
atem122 Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Theme park planking? I've got nothing for that. But theme park wanking...
Inukaza Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Theme park planking? I've got nothing for that. But theme park wanking... As long as you wank safely and providing you do it legally.
HappyEisentrout Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 I saw some girl planking on the Snoopy statue at Planet Snoopy at Cedar Point yesterday. She was just laying on it and no one seemed to care.

chemical_echo Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 The last thing I'm going to do at a theme park after paying for travel, parking, and admission is lie on the ground for "fun."
cal1br3tto Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Part of me thinks this could be entertaining in real life with the right people, but for the most part it rubs me the wrong way. It seems contrived and silly.

cfc Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Hell, I try to plank for eight hours each night. I can do it in my sleep.
Ccron10 Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 This is pretty much what comes to mind when I think planking: Sounds pointless to me.
STR8FXXXINEDGE Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Hell, I try to plank for eight hours each night. I can do it in my sleep.
Perilous Chris Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 I guess I'm getting old, but I just don't get the point of "planking." I guess it's the new "Chinese fire drill."
Mechanic Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 I just asked my 3 teenage kids if they knew what "planking" was. None of them did. I feel a little proud of myself as a parent right at this moment.
Movieguy Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 To me, planking is just another bizarre fad, right up there with that whole "All Your Base..." thing years ago, and those kids shoes with the wheels in the heels.

I always wanted some and they were impossible to get in adult size in Australia so when i went over to America i go a pair. Though the wheels are a bit of an epic fail in my case. i usually just wear them wheel free now.
