Hilltopper39 Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 This thing really looks amazing I cant wait to see the finished product, but I have a feeling that entire area will be stunning!
BkkMan13 Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 I don't know why, but the whole "3 launches in one ride" feels weird to me, like unnatural...
Guy T. Koepp Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 I don't know why, but the whole "3 launches in one ride" feels weird to me, like unnatural... Yes. It's not human. It's almost... ...dare I say, animal? Almost big cat like. As if you were hunting your prey. WAIT A MINUTE! CHEETAH HUNT! I GET IT! Guy "Yeah man! See how I put all that together. Nothing gets by me!" Koepp
larrygator Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 I love the concept of having the actual cheetah race the trains. That sounds really cool if it would work on a regular basis. I'm not sure of your definition of "regular basis", but keep in mind cheetahs practically kill themselves during a hunt as the strain on their body greater increases their body temperature. Granted this cheetah run will be shorter than a 30-60 secnd hunt. So don't expect to see cheetah's racing around the clock.
RoCo Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Well, that's it; this report officially moved "Cheetah Hunt" to the top of my "must ride" list for 2011. Awesome work, thanks so much! Sorry, New Texas Giant! (You're still a close second )

I didn't know that about cheetah's, but I would just be interested to see the cheetah "appear" to race the coaster. In the original post he said that the mechanism would give them a reason to run. How often do they need to run?
Saldek Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 ^In the wild, cheetahs usually need at least an hour or more to rest after hunting prey but this exhibit will be much smaller and the runs much shorter. With the number of cheetahs they are getting it is possible that guests will be able to view them do these runs every hour during the daytime. It'll be similar to something like this at the Cincy Zoo.
SamanthaMc92 Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 ahh! This ride looks freakin' awesome! Too early to say it will DEFINATELY make it into my top 10 coasters? Can't wait to get my ass to Florida again...not for a year or so probably but still!
