Interesting article. I was just thinking, what if you were drunk and walking home and stumbled into that prehistoric park, how freaked out would you be if you bumped into one of the dinos? lol

Idk how legal it is but my friend and her family knew how to get into River Country USA right by Fort Wilderness, it was pretty cool/freaky to see the remains of a destroyed waterpark.

since they got rid of the water slides, there's not much to look at at Lake Delores/RockaHoola. its funny, when they added the big waterslides in the late 90s, we never saw the place open.

I've actually been to Glen Echo a few times, for some dances that they hold there. It's really cool seeing it at night, because all of the neon lights are working, and they do still have a working carrousel that they run on occaision. It's a nice place to walk around, and it's very interesting to see how they've maintained the classic look of the place.

What about William's Grove? As far as I know, the park is still used as a flea market on weekends. While most rides were auctioned off, the Cyclone and most of the buildings (carousel building, dodgem building, Dante's Inferno etc.) are all still there, right?

If I'm near any of these parks on my travels, I will be sure to stop by.

I wouldn't.

But be warned urban explorer! Most of these parks are privately owned and do not appreciate people traipsing through their property, taking ridiculously cool pictures. If you get stopped by some authorities…just don’t tell them NileGuide sent you!
