thrillgeek Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Wow this sounds like a great contest! I have NL..... too bad I cant even make a damn wacky worm. I look forward to seeing the results non the less.
thrillrideseeker Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Ok... I haven't done a contest in a while, so sign me up! It wont be perfect, but it will be fun! ~Matthew
mcjaco Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Yay! Glad you like it. Any more takers? Check your PMs. I have a prize to offer the winner.
paintballer Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 ^ Mod privileges for a day??!?! Also, count me in.
the ghost Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 I'll give it a shot. Not totally sure I'll submit(if I like it I will) but it sounds fun. I just need to work on making inversions... I suck at everything besides loops.
AJClarke0912 Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 This looks like it could be cool! I'll be in it! BTW, is the total height determined by the top of the coaster track/support or the heartline? Also, is there any tolerance of a couple feet?
CCJared Posted March 2, 2010 Author Posted March 2, 2010 It's done by the top of the track in the editor. You don't have to go up to 30m, but anything over will see you score lower.
AJClarke0912 Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Well, I definitely need to push the height! Shaping on small loops is really hard!
AJClarke0912 Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Jeez! The loop is impossible to go under 4.5 G's! The train is too long and the front whips around and reaches 5G's. I watched YouTube videos, looked at pictures, and it looks like I nailed the loop. But it CAN'T be 5G's, I remember that it was strong but not that strong. I dunno, maybe it is, but maybe I should just do a different inversion and not even feature a loop.
AJClarke0912 Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 ^Never said we couldn't... Justin "I'm already at it in Newton2" Clarke
CCJared Posted March 3, 2010 Author Posted March 3, 2010 I'll give it a go, sounds fun! Welcome to the contest... Good Luck Can we use element creators? Tools are allowed on this contest. Jeez! The loop is impossible to go under 4.5 G's! The train is too long and the front whips around and reaches 5G's. I watched YouTube videos, looked at pictures, and it looks like I nailed the loop. But it CAN'T be 5G's, I remember that it was strong but not that strong. The Forces for this contest are realistic. Spikes are allowed, but they will affect your score. ..Too tempting.. must not enter.. Give it ago.
AJClarke0912 Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Hmmm, I may have to do a coaster featuring no loops. That'd be interesting too...maybe a double zero-G roll... *hint-hint* ...Pop-Zero style. Would I get extra brownie points for that since I associated you with it?
d34thstrik3 Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Colour me interested. Have got something I have worked on, just a matter of trying to iron out some bumps. Loops are hard, lowest I can get is 4.6g Have not used any tools as I am unaware of what is available.
A113 Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Idk if I can because of school, but it does look fun..
CCJared Posted March 3, 2010 Author Posted March 3, 2010 I added you onto the list as a possible entrant.
mcjaco Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Added a pic of the goodies for winning in the first post. Enjoy!
nannerdw Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 According to the force graphs I've seen, B:TR stays under 4 g's going through the loops.
