Louise Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Wally got his sticky wish!!! Wait, that didn't sound too great... :? Wally got his wish of this thread becoming a sticky!! I was somehow persuaded to try the new Strongbow product, Sirrus, last night, and it was surprisingly good! I'm not a fan of cider, but this is like a sweeter, more refreshing version of the original Strongbow, served over ice... I enjoyed it!
PhishyBrewer Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Wally got his sticky wish!!! I think Derek played a hand in it. Having a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale while in the Sierra Nevada Mountains on beautiful Lake Tahoe.
Hattuchili Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Yesterday, we had a meeting with the whole company! It was a good evening and I had a few beer! --Sören I had a Hefeweizen. Mmmmhhh, look at the good food!
PhishyBrewer Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 ^Thanks for the reminder Soren.... I need to pick up more Paulaner
PhishyBrewer Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 They were out of Paulaner Hefe... again! So I had to settle for this crap!
Hattuchili Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 ^ To sad, Wally! Maybe another day! --Sören
memphish Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 They were out of Paulaner Hefe... again! So I had to settle for this crap! Dont be hatin! I've gotten addicted to Pyramid, not entirely out of taste, but also due to it being $6.29
waterviper Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Here is what I drank all in one sitting while hanging out with my brothers at his house!! The Bridgport Black Strap stout ale was the best of them all!! The Breckenridge Hefe Proper was very good!! The other two were good but not as flavorful! YUMMMY!!!! All three of these were my fav out of the six!!
mcjaco Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 My wife and bought a 6 of Leinenkugel's Apple Cider.....we give it an unenthusiastic "eh." If you want cider, buy cider not beer trying to be cider. On a side note, we recently bought some Bell's Pale ale. There was a literally a layer of silt/sand at the bottom of each bottle. Anyone had anything like that happen?
PhishyBrewer Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 There was a literally a layer of silt/sand at the bottom of each bottle. Anyone had anything like that happen? That would be ACTIVE yeast from your UNPASTEURIZED beer. More than likely that beer was sitting around for awhile, or it was kept somewhere at room temp before you purchased it. Nothing to worry about. Now if you see a bunch of it in the bottle, and looks like little wormies floating around, you might want to pass on it. EDIT: Just Googled Bell's... Yuck, it's brewed in Michigan. Nothing good as ever come out of there.
coasterzak Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 I had some high class Rhine from a local Giant Eagle, selected because it is the name of the river that runs through BGW.
mcjaco Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Note to self: if the bottles are dusty on the shelf, take a look at the bottom of the bottles. Bell's is actually quite good....although this development may have changed my mind. You're quite right about Michigan!
Hattuchili Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 This evening I had a bottle of a good red wine, called "Dornfelder"! It was a hard and sad day, thats why I´ve drunken the whole bottle by myself! :? Now I feel a bit drunk and tired. I think it is time to go to bed! --Sören
DerekRx Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 I've been taking it easy the last couple of days. Since Vegas I had a Sam Adams on Saturday, a Kirin Ichiban on Monday, and a Victory Festbier tonight. Don't worry, tomorrow is another day, and I just got my Christmas bonus!
PhishyBrewer Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 Get ready for it... Paulaner Hefe was in stock today. Hell yeah bitches!
Hattuchili Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 ^ LOL, another good Paulaner Hefeweizen! --Sören
DerekRx Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 Last night was another night of several beers. I started out with the Sam Adams Winter Lager, as its darn cold here finally! Afterwards, I decided to go for the Magic Hat experience; having a Jinx, Blind Faith, Fat Angel, and a #9. Adrianne, the waitress was so fast, I hadn't finished one before I got the next. Here Blind Faith and Fat Angel get to know each other a little better before I consume them both! Jinx, Magic Hat's Belgian Ale....which cost me $7.50 for a bottle!
Pelydr Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 Sadly ive been more of a rum and coke guy lately. I dont know whats wrong with me.
Hattuchili Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 Today, at a friends birthday party, I had a few Becks beer! --Sören
