PhishyBrewer Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 A late dinner from Mike's Drive in. Fish & chips. And an ice cold Widmer Brothers Drop Top Amber Ale. How is the Drop Top Ale? It's nice to see something diffeerent from the Widmer Bros.
65skylark Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 ^ Drop Top is actually just a little lighter than most amber ales and very smooth. Widmer Brothers actually makes several different beers, many of them seasonal. I don't know that many of there beers make it out of the Portland area though with the exception of there Hefeweizen. http://www.widmer.com/
PhishyBrewer Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 ^Anheuser-Busch has a lot invested into Widmer Bros and also Redhook. So every once in a great while during beer give away at the brewery we get Widmer products. I've seen Drop Top in stores here in Nor-Cal, just haven't tried it yet. Maybe I'll get some today when I BBQ. Thanks
PhishyBrewer Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Went to the store to pick-up some Tri-Tip and a some Drop Top Ale. But Drop Top was sold out. Must be good stuff. Got some Sierra Nevea Wheat Beer since the Drop Top was sold out. A great Hefe!
Hattuchili Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 ^LOL. I think you look a little bit unusual in that picture! Last evening I had a Paulaner Weißbier Kristallklar (Hefeweizen). --Sören
65skylark Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 ^ Love your beer glass. Nothing like drinking beer out of Mickey mug.

Hattuchili Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Today I had a Beck´s beer at the soccer stadium! --Sören
PhishyBrewer Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 ^I also had Becks today. Tried to find Paulanar Hefe, but it was sold out.
Hattuchili Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 Todaywe were at a reastaurant and I had a Paulaner Hefeweizen, a Beck´s beer and a Haake Beck Kräusen. --Sören
PhishyBrewer Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 ^Isn't Haake Beck non-alcoholic? Not that's there is anything wrong with that.
Hattuchili Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 ^Haake Beck have a few different sorts of beer. There is a non alcoholic beer, but the one that I had was with alcohol! Here you finde more: http://www.haakebeck.de --Sören
